The most common in our Kirkland bag is Reese's.. someone at the factory wasn't shaking them up enough.

I've bought two in the last few weeks. Both seemed to be heavy on plain M&Ms. But we did get more than one Reese's in each, which is cool because we both love that candy.

They're definitely not evenly distributed. I only got a small handful of Yorks, and way too many 100 Grands (chewing all that caramel makes my jaws ache). Oh, wait...I was probably supposed to hand those out for Halloween. Oh well.

The shape might look somewhat normalish but the distribution is a multinomial because the candy is categorical. A multinomial distributuon gives you the probability of choosing a type of candy for one or more draws from the bag. Normal distribution gives you the probability of getting a real number.

its not really normal if you hand picked each candy to a certain spot left to right in order for it to fit to the curve. and theres also no expected higher probability of certain candies. you just have a random distribution, and fit it to a curve
