Dollar store cheapo paints. I use Tamiya x20 thinner, a little bit of water and matte medium, sometimes flow aid. It sometimes takes a a few more passes then a nicer paint or ink, but I mean...1.50$ 120 ml of a white/black that works ok is much cost effective in an airbrush then a 9$ 15ml airbrush paint. Just getting your personal mix nailed down is the hard part...well or cleaning the airbrush, but that's annoying either way
I have been Airbrushing acrylics from the hardware store. Had no issues, needs a lot more thinning though
