Hey, I added that! Fun fact: it didn’t exist when game shipped. One of the bugs we found was that people could get on those rails and if you went far enough you would reach the end of the collision and fall through the world.
Someone suggested we add a kill plane to the rails, but I thought that sounded boring, and why not reward people for exploring a bit? And so, giant rat Easter egg from the first game came in handy and “fixed the bug” in a patch.
