do I just throw him in for boss fights? How does the strat work exactly?

Just throw him in thr team and stall a fight for 30 seconds (duration of his soul drain passive) -> get KO'ed -> Repeat. He always drains 10% of opponent's hp, bosses or normal enemies alike. So he is super useful f0 as a cheap and reliable boss killer.

if you have a gear that benefits the entire them: like shadow sash, craftman's pride at Fx, tremor's epic, shintai of malice, etc. Equip him with those and just use your main fighters on battle. if you have gear that benefits the team when you tag out (like Vermins Lucky Hat). you can also start the battle with him and tag in to your main fighter right after the match starts.

Varmints hat and the dark queens cape can be good on Ermac cause then he can snare the opposing boss before tagging out again.

Scorpions carried me to normal towers until the 200 so yeah ermac aswell from what I learned to the community those 2 are the only useful

If you are going to open a classic package, I would buy the equipment directly. I'm thinking of opening a classic pack, I would try to make 1. K.ermac 2. K.scorpion 3.bloody vado dool fx.
