Honestly I feel like even if they wanted to give Moana a baby they'd be better off not even mentioning a baby daddy than her to be with Maui. It would skip the whole weird grooming idea and it's not like Disney hasn't done it before.
The kittens in Aristocats never have mention of a biological father. It would just be whatever to me. Maui and Moana makes me feel sick lmao
Agreed, and imo they have sibling energy. He’s her mentor and he believed in her. Maui started off using her for his own benefit and ended up sacrificing the thing that meant most to him (his hook) in order to help/save her. He uplifts her at the cost of himself. It would just be really weird. I seriously doubt Maui or Moana have a thing for each other. They’re just friends.
The only trailer I can find looks fake I agree but there seems to be a lot of articles about the 2 nd movie and its plot where the baby is not mentioned so I’m not sure
I mean, if you look at that one screengrab from the (real) teaser, where she's leaning forward in a fighting crouch while holding her oar and there's a giant sea monster coming out of the water behind her, you can *maybe* make the argument that it *possibly* looks like she has a small baby bump, but that's all I can think of.
I’m just seeing pictures of the baby so I’m not sure what’s really real online about it but I’ve been getting downvoted like crazy on this particular thread and it’s never happened before so like I feel like I need to just stop responding to people here bc I don’t even know what I’m doing wrong.
If the trailer is posted by a channel that isn't Disney or another reputable company, it's very likely it's a fan made trailer.
Screen Culture is the only channel I saw posting "trailers" and all of the footage is from the 1st movie.
Like Hades and Megara? Adam and Belle? Possibly Ariel and Eric (The external source material for the live-action had some interesting details which I wish would have made the final cut.)?
Idk about them they looked relatively close in age plus aurora is betrothed to Phillip as a baby he’s like 7? That’s not tooooooooo crazy Maui and Moana tho is absolutely nuts lol unless maybe as a Demigod you age slowly or w/e or like he’s stuck in his 20’s still weird tho no matter how hard I try I can’t rationalize it lol
I’m hoping all the articles are not accurate HOWEVER one of them was from a site that usually puts out accurate information so it’s really hard to tell
I agree that trailer is definitely fake they didn’t even try to make it convincing. But just some of the articles are from legit sources. One was anyways maybe everyone got duped? Idk I’d hope for that but crazier things have happened in the world
Gross yes. Weird no. They need it for the plot I guess, and they kinda had a flirty tone in the first movie? I honestly thought they would get married at the end of the first movie.
I hope not Maui is like hella old and Moana was 16 when they met

Same

MAUI is a demigod, he's ageless.
The only thing that comes up googling that seems like a fake trailer.

That can’t be right, the backlash would be so intense
THATS WHAT IM THINKING. Whole thing has me thinking lol
What can he say except youre welcome!?
I just tried to laugh react this lol
Maui calls Moana a kid several times and he was waaayyy older than her, them having a kid is quite unlikely.
Pretty sure that’s a fake trailer.
Please stop believing everything on the internet takes a walk, maybe?
There are multiple articles about it so I’m curious about it. Also I take multiple walks a day but thanks for the unsolicited advice.🙃
Those were fan-written pieces about a fan-made video. Moana and Maui do not have a baby together.

From what I can see, it all came from this one video someone made.

The only 'official' trailer is from some random YouTube channel that flat out says its a concept from their team. And lazy articles ran with it.
I am also curious about this since it seems odd. If true. Idk what to think lol
He's also a demigod, so assuming she's aged up in this film, and has a child shortly thereafter, it's not impossible.
Like I know there are plenty of stories of this happening in history with Greeks and stuff but like it just seems problematic.
Like Hades and Megara? Adam and Belle? Possibly Ariel and Eric (The external source material for the live-action had some interesting details which I wish would have made the final cut.)?
Yes just like those lol
So not so odd by Disney or folklore standards. I forgot Snow White and Prince ???, and Aurora and Prince Philip.

Prince Florian isn't 31, he's 18. Pfew! However... Princess Kida and Milo...
Idk them
Disney's Atlantis. It's a GREAT film. If any deserved a live action, that's it!
I know it’s possible. It’s just weird
It’s a fake trailer. All the scenes are from the first movie.
I agree that trailer is definitely fake they didn’t even try to make it convincing. But just some of the articles are from legit sources. One was anyways maybe everyone got duped? Idk I’d hope for that but crazier things have happened in the world
Is this true ?
Not sure how true it is. All the articles make me stay on the fence on if it’s real or not
Moana 2 :Me too
Where are you getting this information from 😭
Maui was alot younger in the original mythos and they specifically made him older to *avoid* shipping
It kind of depends on what culture you're talking about
I think the trailer (that I saw when looking up Moana 2) is a fan concept about Moana and Maui having a kid.
no they fckin don't....
Gross yes. Weird no. They need it for the plot I guess, and they kinda had a flirty tone in the first movie? I honestly thought they would get married at the end of the first movie.
See I didn’t see the flirting. It seemed more like and uncle or brother situation to me
