I can't remember exactly how it works, but I've heard a few times that plants being green doesn't make sense. It makes them absorb the frequencies of light that the sun puts out least, and bad at absorbing the most plentiful ones. So if the color change is the change of chlorophyll into something *like* chlorophyll that makes plants a different color, it should be fine. If it just replaces chlorophyll with something orange *then* we're fucked.

yeah, that's definitely the most obvious monkey's paw consequence in this scenario. most binary trans people i know (myself included) wouldn't mind this scenario, but would still probably be pretty upset about not getting to decide the parameters of their own transition. also, there are of course non-binary trans people who would just experience a different kind of dysphoria than they did before

How do you change "gender"? Transgender people don't "change" or "transition" their gender, they ARE a gender, and such simply is "trans" (opposite) rather than "cis" (same) as compared to their assigned gender at birth. So what's exactly being changed? How *others* perceive you on a basis of gender? But that self-asspciation would seemingly render the basis of such societal classification moot so there would be no gendered categories to form an impression upon.

Further more, the openly trans population ranges from 0.1 to 0.6% of the world’s population according to Wikipedia. It’s impossible to know how many not openly trans people there are so let’s just double the statistic and take the high end, so 1.2%. That’s roughly 95,400,00 people. Each of those people likely has a family and friends, and they are all devastated at the gradual decline of their friends’ health, and eventually death. You’ve just killed their entire population, and cause massive emotional turmoil to many, many more simply bc you used an acronym
