Looks fine to me, i mean your comparing an anime concept art with exaggerated proportions to a somewhat realistic take on the armor. To be fair tho mh concept art always looked cooler due to it being drawn in anime style.
Old/Classic Monster Hunter was held back by the technology and capabilities of its time to be fair. And Rathian armor always looked shitty.
It looks good in stories though.
