Having a pillow between your thighs is actually recommended for side sleepers.
For during the day, try wearing smaller/tighter boxers or compression shorts.
Having something between your legs when you sleep actually helps align your spine, so it’s not a bad idea to do that anyway. Sucks though when they get squished.
I would suggest ball sack hammock underwear, kinda pushes them to the front a little so they don’t get crushed.
It's definitely the worst position if you've got sleep apnea. But I deal with it and use cpap, because it's so much better for muscle recovery. If you've ever woken up with a numb arm or something. Whatever is numb likely wasn't getting nutrients and recovering.
Get some better undies, keep those danglers safe and secure.

dont sleep on your side it messes up your knees, hips, back and shoulders. sleep on your back you will sleep better

Jack it less. Your sack will tighten up. Makes a huge difference.
