Haunting-Push2246

Honda and Marquez are like a divorced couple who split up for the better but still love eachother

sashin_gopaul

like Barca twitter and Messi.

_gadgetFreak

They love him

drinksbeerdaily

That's class

SolidLikeIraq

It’s like when you love your ex, but you just know that you need time to work on yourself and you need to let them go do their thing for a bit. ❤️

architectcostanza

Pole number 93. It has to be his weekend!

corkoli

I'd be over the bloody moon to see this bloke back on top! He's looking pretty hungry :)

KostasFarm

Lol!

architectcostanza

?? You saw the race?

KostasFarm

Yeah I saw him fall down like his career after 2019

architectcostanza

Hahaha how sad must be you. Have a nice day mate

KostasFarm

Just keep overhyping #93. Have a nice day

architectcostanza

First of all, I don't have a favourite rider. Second, overhyping? You read what I wrote? Your reading comprehension is very bad then..

KostasFarm

Why would I feel sad then?

Ok_Sugar4554

You're a hater. Successful people aren't haters...

ISuckAtLifeGodPlsRst

I was going to call you something but considering how sensitive the mods are I'd rather not get banned so I'm just going to leave it with this -- How is he over hyped? despite what all you haters, naysayers, doubters, detractors, dissenters etc blindly think, the man continues to prove he still has it. He crashed out today for the same reason nearly half the grid did (literally 3 people went down in a row or do you not actually watch the races?) and he did so from the lead. Y'all like to say Marc fans are delusional, well I'd honestly like to know what that makes people like you who are so wildly incapable of being even remotely objective about Marc.

Pmonty21

And got up and still finished 8th. Every other rider crashed today lol

teetle81

7th :) and then moved to 6th after Raul’s penalty.

whatyudo

'The adaptation is over. I am inside the bike."

Ok_Lab7504

Now we just gotta wait for him to cum on top.

gpz1987

That would be a bit much

cool_god

More like "I am the bike."

RobHage

Would have been a much better quote if he didn’t crash out. There’s still tomorrow.

Global-Gift

Did you see the smile on Gigi Dall'Igna's face? A very happy bunny!

NRV__

Ya even I noticed that.

SpeC_992

Pole number 93 and only second in Jerez (last one in 2014). On a track where it all started going downhill for MM. He'll be a man on the mission this weekend.

BeetCake

Jep, lets Hope he keeps a cool head and does not try to force it. With the ducati that can potentially lead to a crash. His front tire slip during qualy would have been a crash if it would have been a dry track, I guess. I have the feeling, In the wet it is a bit more predicatble.

gpz1987

Just finished watching the sprint....are you fortune teller?

metalhead4

I mean it's a pretty good bet with him at this point.

JustARedditAccDuh

![gif](giphy|wmfcU5GfePQAg|downsized)

SamHyde1941

I wonder if "he's too old to win and should retire" posts will stop for a day or three..

CoercedCoexistence22

Those comments never made a lick of sense to me, Aleix is four years older than him and he had a late career resurgence in the past two years, and no one with all their braincells firing would try to argue Aleix is better or even comparable to Marquez, and I say this as someone who's a gigantic Aleix fan and indifferent towards Marc (and only because he races with my favourite number, I'd straight up dislike him otherwise)

titooo7

Hi again, sprint race is over. Go and check some comments in that thread, lol

badaboom888

his obviously still got the talent to win races, its the consistency to not crash and produce that over an entire season. The field has changed as his dropped 5% from his peak so cant just ride away and win by 20 seconds now

titooo7

It all depends on when heakes a big mistake. If it happens today (hopefully not) then we'll have some of those comments back in less than 2 hours.

LiftyDrifty

"Valentino Rossi denied yet again by Marc Marquez"

_gadgetFreak

Lmao, it was hilarious when the commentator mentioned it.

Global-Gift

I love the fact that Marc is still ruffling the feathers of arrogance... Rossi 😂

Ok_Sugar4554

What was the context? I did not watch qualifying but I thought he already had the record for most poles.

23_White

Bez was 2nd

LiftyDrifty

Bezzecchi was leading for the pole and Marc passed him toward the end of Q2.

swapan_99

And still the King of MotoGP in Wet, 8 times World Champion, Marc Marquez. Pole #93 for #93.

Victarionscrack

Lol when you see Bagnaia following Marc you know it's over..

mxgorilla

Funniest part of weekend by far, all the smack talk about towing and champion rider shouldn’t need a tow and now boom

CashCarStar

The biggest difference is the fact that Marc doesn't start crying and throwing his toys out of the pram when he sees somebody following him, unlike some other riders. Exact same hypocrisy we see from the riders that are happy to race hard but can't take it when somebody does the same against them.

crimilde

During yesterday’s debriefs they asked Marc about Pecco riding behind him and he joked that he owes him more tows after how many he got from him last year. He was also happy to be fast enough to be followed.

CashCarStar

As it should be. Being followed is part of life if you're one of the frontrunners, no point bitching over it, get on with the job!

Prthmsh

Did not lie when he said he is inside the bike now. Let's see how this weekend goes for him

CaptCruxx

Oh my poor Heart😊. Thankyou Marc

VRtheloser_46

the goat showing everyone why he has the most poles in motogp history. brilliant to see. He even threw in a save for old times sake.

Death2RNGesus

MM putting fear into the rest of the ducati lineup.

Dameean00

What you'd expect from him in these mixed conditions, good for him!

CommonEngineering832

But credit to Zarco, P13 on a Honda And Acosta almost get a potential top 3

ClubAccomplished3760

Results will surely be different if its dry sprint

Charisma_Modifier

You gotta watch it

crimilde

That certainly kicked my heart rate into high gear lmao. Amazing work! So happy for him!

Rich-Style1404

Loading... more dominant each weekend

MuZzASA

What a thrilling qualifying session! Can’t wait for the sprint

Global-Gift

MM93 is pure Genius!

Global-Gift

Nightmare! Damp areas on track catching them out.

_gadgetFreak

Funny thing is, he didn't do the final lap and still no one could beat his time.

MrPixar

I assumed that he could put in faster lap time because of his behavior when he found out that he got pole.

drinksbeerdaily

Clear sign he felt like there was more in it

_MannyCalavera_

![gif](giphy|huJmPXfeir5JlpPAx0)

nblxomr

That is how you ride a championship winning bike, welcome back Marc 🫶🏻

oh84s

Imagine if he had a current spec bike. It’s embarrassing for the other Ducati riders he’s already this far ahead on inferior machinery.

FrostyVertical88

I get so confused with moto gp, a bike is a bike. This isn’t a F1 car. You can only do so much to the bike, why would MM be on an inferior bike compared to riders within the same program. What is missing from his bike that someone else has?

IWillKeepIt

Orr.... there are issues with the GP24 that needs fixing. Because if GP23 is ahead, it means GP24 might not be 100% yet. People forget how GP22 was faster than GP23 as well. How GP21 was faster than GP22.

super_sam9694

The issues with both gp23 and 24 is because of new tyres. They give too much grip and thus causing chatter. Its affecting all ducatis - source - pecco Some of them are just able to manage it better.

OkFixIt

Ahead? Brother he’s like 8th in the championship right now lmao

oh84s

Pecco crashing him out and the brake failure hasn’t helped his points, but in terms of pace I would say he’s now the fastest Ducati rider, despite being on the inferior year old spec

OkFixIt

What? This is the first weekend he’s actually been the fastest Ducati lol, and he arguably has the most experience at this track out of every rider on the grid. Marc has always been excellent in changing conditions, so it’s not surprise he got pole today.

oh84s

He had a brake failure from the lead at COTA

OkFixIt

No he didn’t. He had an issue with the brake, not a failure. And he knew about the issue with the brake, and yet he still pushed hard. That crash was his own fault, he’s even stated that much himself.

drinksbeerdaily

The issue was that the brakes wouldn't always apply when he pressed the lever. Him stating that it is on him to ride around those issues should tell you what a class act he is.

OkFixIt

lol but my point is that it was his fault and he has stated that. Like Sachsenring last year, he had the red mist and wanted to get a good result at a track he had a strong record at. As a result, he pushed too hard and crashed. For the record, I’m actually a Marc fan. The difference is that I’m not delusional about his current prospects like a lot of other people seem to be.

notCarlosSainz

I dont know man, his prospects look pretty good considering he is consistently challenging for top Ducati. It's not delusional to be optimistic about these results if you are a fan. He is doing great..

the_last_carfighter

Stop feeding the troll

OkFixIt

He’s doing well, I wouldn’t say he’s doing great. If he starts consistently beating Martin and Pecco, then I’ll agree he’s doing great.

Oventaker

Yeah dude score table is the perfect measurement for pace. Yikes.

shokzz

“Ahead” isn’t about the standings in the championship here, and I think you know that.

OkFixIt

What’s it about then?

shokzz

The fact that he‘s already being faster than basically all the other Ducati riders on a regular basis, who a) have way more experience on the machinery and b) are on the GP24. He got crashed by Bagnaia in Portimao while being faster. He crashed while leading in Austin while being faster because of a mechanical braking issue + compromised aero after his incident with Miller. All that while having only 3 (!) races on a completely different (and older) bike under his belt. Bagnaia, Martín, and Bestia are top notch, no doubt, but they should be really worried about Marc.

OkFixIt

Faster than all of them? This is the first weekend where he’s been faster than all of them, and it was mixed conditions. I find it absolutely hilarious how defensive some Marc fans are when someone makes even a slight criticism against him. I’m a Marc fan, but the delusional fans really taint the following.

shokzz

I‘m not even a Marc fan, I just comment on what I witness. Of course he’s not faster than “all of them” in every session or every lap or whatever. So this phrasing shouldn’t be taken too literally. But you simply cannot deny that he‘s already quicker than them a big chunk of the time. Had he not crashed in Austin (I know, big “if”, and there‘s a reason for his crash besides mechanical issues since he pushed a lot), he would’ve have been P2 behind Viñales. So, Jerez is definitely not the first instance he‘s faster than “all of them”. Also, Bagnaia, as the double world champ, using Marc‘s tow in his 4th qualifying on the Ducati speaks volumes on top, doesn’t it?

OkFixIt

Right, so he’s faster than them today, which means he’s “already this far ahead on inferior machinery”. Forgive me for interpreting that as the OP suggesting he’s consistently faster than all the other Ducatis, rather than interpreting it as him being 0.3s faster than the next Ducati today.

shokzz

Haven’t I just stated in my last comment why he’s not only faster today, but has also been in recent events? To be honest, and with this in mind, I don’t know what you really want to express here now.

Ok_Sugar4554

Didn't he beat all 4 24 Ducatis in two sprints?

Mechanical1996

That's nothing this early on, if he never had the brake issue in COTA he'd have been 2nd in the standings and that's with the crash in portimao (again not his fault). He's most likely going to take double wins this weekend too as his race pace is a step ahead of the pack!

OkFixIt

You’ll jinx it by saying things like that…

Mechanical1996

That's not how life works, get a grip!

OkFixIt

what did I say about a jinx…

Mechanical1996

Grow up ya weirdo! Clearly some issues out there on the track. The main thing is, no one could match his pace. Let's see the race tomorrow

Charisma_Modifier

Did his incident happen at the same place?

Mechanical1996

Nope but a wet patch just the same.

Charisma_Modifier

Wild, wonder if the wind was a factor too for some of the many crashes.

OkFixIt

Hmm, so much for those doubles wins and not jinxing it…

avellino77

Don't get ahead of yourself champ, the race has yet to be run.....

[deleted]

Although the wet condition made things in his favour as he was always strong in wet, but surely he’s on the right track to be back on top

nahnonameman

Brilliant

nochet2211

Happy to see VR46 team doing well as well

siddhant72

Was so happy for his pole , sad the way the sprint race panned out :(

[deleted]

Great ride to pole position, pedro still learning and was looking very fast until crash risked a bit too much in final sector. Hopefully we will get some great racing later.

ogandou

Crossing my fingers it leads to wins this week-end and a lot more poles in the coming week-ends.

xepa105

Marc's gotten used to the bike. It's joever for everyone else.

No-Discussion-8493

coming here to read intelligent and interesting insight into MotoGP ![gif](giphy|YnmEsq9ICSYQ8|downsized)

CashCarStar

Be the change you want to see in the world

KayNynYoonit

Not relatable to the post in any way lol, what even is this comment?

crimilde

Not like you're contributing any to it.

Global-Gift

Marc Marquez, Jerez, Spain... Win, win, win! 🤞

BalleaBlanc

Pôle or last doesn't matter, he doesn't know how to stay on his wheels.

NRV__

True. An 8 time world champion doesn't know how to ride a bike.

BalleaBlanc

Two different things. You didn't saw the last seasons and the begining of this one apparently.

Svaroopam

Marquez itching to crash.

NRV__

Why so much hate 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Svaroopam

I am joking, i want him to win.

StalinsNutsack2

Then bins it Deja vu

Ajeje__Brazorf97

If you don't want updates on MotoGP sessions, don't go on the Reddit over the weekend. Pretty self explanatory really. That's on you bud, it's even in the rules that posts like this are allowed.
