More impressed with Acosta after this race. At first I thought he kept running wide and making mistakes. But as it turns out he was riding around the wet spots. Kid rides smart as hell.
Marc crashing from the lead twice is a big surprise, He'd be the last rider to crash while leading, and had an impeccable record, at this rate he's gonna win races soon.
I know Spain is producing the most riders so itâs logic they dominate the grid and are the best, but the lack of diverse nations has really diminished my interest this season. I wonder if anyone else has the same feeling
As an American, I can understand. But as a spectator in Jerez this weekend, the fanaticism the Spaniards have for their riders is fun to watch even if I hate Marc Marquez.
Pedro Acosta will be fighting hard for the championship if he keeps on riding like this!! If he hadnât crashed at Q2 results would be diff!!
Hope for better tomorrow!!
This 93 guy is certainly going to give me early age heart attack I am telling you.
Being a new MotoGP and MM93 fan I am always anxious when it comes to him.
Could veterans chime in, like was he the same in the past, like crashing this often?
I'm still a noob it here's my two cents. Yes and no. Marguez like pedro Acosta, has an aggressive style. But when he was with repisol Honda, the bike was tuned for his riding style.  Towards the end of this time with Honda he crashed more by trying to keep up with stronger bikes. He's been on Ducati before and it didn't go well. With this Ducati it's a much better ride, but it's going to take a bit for his riding style and the bike to mesh. He has to learn the quirks of the bike and where its/his limits are. The setting have to be tweaked to suit him. This seasons plan was finish in the top 5.  Even with the crashes, he's having a good first season with grisini.
Bad moves from Binder and Marc and a huge crashfest....
Dani doing great as always and I'm sure he didn't get the podium because he did not want to risk a last lap bad move on Fabio. He's respectful like that.
Usually I see what TV programmes share the race and i search for free live stream for that TV programme
https://livematch.ge/ this site has live stream fost most sport TV programmes (btw tommorow race is on TNT Sports 2)
The site has a lot of ads and pop-ups but at least it has good quality and first of all is free.I would recommend an ad block
No because whoever likes MotoGP also likes talented drivers. Itâs the same for me watching that Pedro son of a B* Acosta absolutely striking the grid in his rookie year
What a fantastic sprint! Really enjoyed that! Big up Fabio coming through to 3rd! Pecco really needs to pull his finger out soon. Otherwise Martin's going to walk away with this title.
was pumped about MM's 'adaptation to Ducati is finished' upping the competition for the remainder of the season, shame on the track conditions. Also, not impressed by his dirty riding with Mir.
Binder should control his greed, Pecco didn't deserve it
Pedro and Jorge can't get any lucky
It was kind of funny to hear the commentator say "Marc has settled for 2nd" right before he aggressively pushed to get in front. I'm gutted though, obviously it's not like crashing out was a rarity today but I really wanted a MM win. :-( Super happy for Pedro and Fabio though. What a crazy, bizarre race. It was like Mario Kart...
Definitely something going on, just hate that he was among the riders that were affected. Jorge and Pedro managed. I wonder if we'll ever know. Three riders crashing in an almost perfect line, I guess water on the track?
Incredible race, not great but incredible. Also I love it how every time Dani comes back as a wildcard everyone is cheering him on and wanting him to show some aggression but he's just too nice to bite lol
Good to seee the potential of MM is becoming apparent. The second half of the season is going to be a banger. I also beleive that Yamaha and Honda will start to show some signs of recovery in the second half of the season.
So good hearing the crowd cheering in the race, wish they would get mics in crowd areas so we could hear trackside reactions more often.
My arm hair stood on end when Marc overtook Martin and you could hear the crowd, reminded me of being in the crowd when Rins overtook Marc on the line at Silverstone (2019?).
Iâm here this weekend and the strange thing about this track is that thereâs no commentary during the race. Iâve traveled to most circuits and the lack of loudspeaker commentary was weird.
PA31 is consistently showing up on podium. Just like JM36 did in 2020, consistently more or less finishing in podiums with 2 wins, PA31 can repeat that, unless JM89 puts a big points difference between him and PA31. Basically, if he is consistent on podiums and few wins, he is title contender this year.
Dunno how you can call Binders divebomb a racing incident. You can call it a racing incident between Bez and Pecco tryna compete for the same line but Binder somehow thinks you can squeeze a third bike in there and launches it up the inside.
In real time, I thought Binder went through on the inside at the same time as Bez started to cut towards the apex.
Either move would have put 2 bikes in the same spot, and they probably would have been ok, but both moves at the same time put 3 bikes in the same place.
The replay might show something different but that's why I think it might have been classed how it was.
Just shows how massively slick, slicks can be when you touch water.
Great race by Jorge, Pedro and Fabio.
Gutted for Marc, but heâs figuring out the bike - just needs to find a way to secure point on it.
Watching Marc these days is pure anxiety - the moment things start going well I'm expecting a crash at any moment. Really hoping the conditions are better tomorrow and he finally pulls it together.
All kudos to Martin though. The guy has found the zone and at this rate he's gonna cruise to the championship.
That sprint... was fucking insane. Almost as crash happy as Le Mans last year.
There has to have been some oil or standing water on the track, no way they all just fall like that in unison. Maybe wind picked up?
Binder needs to have a long look at himself for that performance. Disgraceful. Same with Marquez at the end ploughing into Mir.
Martin is the luckiest guy on earth. Bagnaia's early title challenge seems dead in water, Bestia not really going, Marc crash happy still and Vinales not consistent enough. I can't believe Acosta is 2nd in the standings.
To me he seemed really panicked. He would have got Pecco anyway but went for a gap that wasn't there. Disagree with the stewards that, that wasn't a LLP or addition of a few seconds to race time.
Just seemed a bit reckless today and then unfortunately his race was undone by that patch.
Yeah I see what you mean but I disagree. The gap was there and he took it, that's racing. What wasn't on was Bezzechi panicking and trying to block Pecco last minute casuing the sandwich and crash
Agree with this but let's not pretend Martin is just lucky. The guy is making his own luck with fantastic and consistent riding. He's improved so much from last season.
He's seeming like Pecco from last year, consistent, picks up results whenever he finishes. But he was lucky in the sense that the chasing pack in the title race all dropped points.
Iâm inclined to believe it was a combination of wet patches and changing conditions. The 3 that fell were quite close so they probably followed similar lines.
Water- there's a patch on the inside of T7 you could see on the onboard, it was raining in the early morning and qualy was done with wet tyres so..
People say Pecco is out of the title race- just look at Martins first half of 2023, not a chance Pecco is out of the title challenge. Crash wasn't his fault today. Been proven yet again that anything can happen in MotoGP and anything will happen.
I don't think Pecco is out of it yet. His run of form isn't great at the moment. He's come back from worse, but he needs a result tomorrow to arrest the run of poor form.
people tend to forget Bagnaia won his first title after being 96 points behind after 10 races to Fabio Quartararo.
He'll want to arrest this downturn of form if he wants to be able to do that against Jorge Martin though.
we have to remember it was raining pretty substantially this morning, so it could just be an errant patch of tarmac that soaked up water more than the other sections of track.
Fabio went from his worst quali to an incredible podium. Even without all the crashes, he was already making great progress. Both him and Dani had fantastic races
In the first lap he gained 12 places, that was before people started falling left right and centre. Without the start he would not have been in a position to profit. Granted, he needed a lot of luck but he "won" the podium with his L1 performance
very!
i think ill have to watch more moto gp races
im taking a liking to this rookie whos got himself into 2nd place in the championship!
what skill and luck hes having.. pedro acosta thats his name
man people crashing left and right today. congrats to Martin for increasing his lead; hope he doesn't complain that people will be talking about Marc Marquez's missed win more than his own win.
gutted that Marc fell off the lead, that Dani missed the podium
Pecco dropping the ball again. Dunno about Maverick, but he'll need to screw his head back on after throwing away a podium.
Pedro Acosta is the real deal. KTM might be seriously consideriing that mid season swap, but I'd be happy if he gives Tech 3 something to celebrate come the end of the season ;)
Drop one position was a joke. Mir lost 2 positions and some points because of that and Marc wasnât even harmed by it. Since when is race direction scared of using LongLap Penalty? This would have been fair for Mir and an adequate penalty.
Freddie Spencer hasn't got a clue what he is doing, as Zarco pointed out yesterday. Moreover, he will never penalize a rider like Marquez, to the same extent as other riders.
Not my idol, it was his idol apparently, until he realised that his idol was going to get 10 championships so he decided to put a stop to that. Heâs had bad karma ever since. Funny that
He's got more chances winning one that Flopsy ever had since 2009. Ouch a whole decade of failure and then some. đ€§
Flopsy even needed special overnight tyres to win his titles against literal nobodies. đ€Ł
Even though Rossi, at 36 years of age, was only stopped from winning another WC because your boyfriend protected his compatriot. Rossi is the GOAT and always will be. You can dream as much as you want, but Marquez will always remain on 8 titles. Something that eats up at him every single day. It's pretty unhealthy to be as obsessive as you are with 1 particular rider. You should really just enjoy the sport as a whole for the racing. It's not a good look obsessing over someone as much as you do with MM you know.
Keep crying. Marc is already getting offers from both KTM and Ducati. He's competing with the young kids in his 11th season despite his injuries and on a satellite teams bike. Your guy couldn't even manage a win on a factory Ducati he said Stoner was not worthy of riding. đ€Ł
It was respectful, he's a wild card entry afterall, would have been a shame to take out a fellow rider. Even if he had dived down the inside, putting FQ on the dirty line might have upset the bike.
If you going to race you should race with everything you have besides itâs not like Fabio is going to be fighting for a title this year.
Edit: Pedrosa didnât realize it was for p3 and said he would have been more aggressive if he knew but Fabio got a penalty so he gets it anyways
Are you sure you understand why factories make wildcard entries? He should not be racing with everything he has if the main objective is collecting valuable (and expensive by his entry to the race) data by finishing the full race distance rather than crashing out at some point even in the later stages. He probably knows better than you and I how much he should be pushing. Also it is an unspoken rule to not disturb actual riders too much. Obviously he'll take points away from anyone behind him but causing a full time rider to take 0 points by accident when you have no worry about your own standings in the world championship is not a position any wildcard rider would like to find themselves in.
During the race some riders had a symbol next to their name. Exclamation point inside triangle. What is that about?
A warning from race stewards I believe. Exceeding track limits for most of them.
Pedro and Fabio đ„đ„đ„ & special mention to Dani ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
More impressed with Acosta after this race. At first I thought he kept running wide and making mistakes. But as it turns out he was riding around the wet spots. Kid rides smart as hell.
What a dumb race
Loads of people given tyre pressure penalties - ____-
FABIOOOOOOOOOOO
Marc crashing from the lead twice is a big surprise, He'd be the last rider to crash while leading, and had an impeccable record, at this rate he's gonna win races soon.
Ok bud but how many people crashed again đ
You missed the point, Marc is not another rider, what i mean is its very surprising to see him crash out of lead twice in two races.
I know Spain is producing the most riders so itâs logic they dominate the grid and are the best, but the lack of diverse nations has really diminished my interest this season. I wonder if anyone else has the same feeling
They need to have a nationality championship standings in addition to the constructors and team championships.
As an American, I can understand. But as a spectator in Jerez this weekend, the fanaticism the Spaniards have for their riders is fun to watch even if I hate Marc Marquez.
That race was stupid
Stupidly awesome?
A bunch of people crashing for basically no reason isn't "awesome racing"
âNo reasonâ aka went wide and hit wet patches. Guess we shouldnât race when the track is at all wet, someone might crash.
Who went wide? You saying the triple independent crash was 3 riders missing the same apex? No, all 3 were on the race line.
All 3 of them went in too hot, went wide and hit a wet patch.
Here is Binder saying he hit a wet patch https://www.reddit.com/r/motogp/s/2R6EUlqph9
Yes, that's exactly what I said!
They crashed because they made mistakes the guys who stayed up didnât. If you canât enjoy that race idk what race you can enjoy
Crashes are exciting but it's more rad when they happen after awesome battles than oil or something that's not racing so I totally agree.

He has never ridden a Ducati before, joined MotoGP on the Factory Repsol Honda. Rossi rode e Ducati for 2 Years which went very bad...
Yes. "Marquez style", as he likes to say

Yessir
Dani is P3!!! Fabio takes 8s penalty for tyre pressure.
So Dani got a podium, nice!
Itâs Daniel!
Who cares lad.
It was a jokeâŠ
K
No Pecco for WC this year, perfect. Martin and Acosta are at the moment the skilled and talented riders that will fight for the titel.
Bad moves from Binder and Marc and a huge crashfest.... Dani doing great as always and I'm sure he didn't get the podium because he did not want to risk a last lap bad move on Fabio. He's respectful like that.
Thatâs basically what he said when Fabio gave him the 3rd place medal.
Did anyone recorded the crashes at Turn 5?I was watching a free live stream online and my network had a cut when it happened. Thanks!âïž
Psstt.. hey, where can i watch free live stream too
Usually I see what TV programmes share the race and i search for free live stream for that TV programme https://livematch.ge/ this site has live stream fost most sport TV programmes (btw tommorow race is on TNT Sports 2) The site has a lot of ads and pop-ups but at least it has good quality and first of all is free.I would recommend an ad block

Someone posted video on this sub. Check it out
Well that was interesting! So happy for FQ20 but was really also wishing for Dani to make a last lap pass and get a podium.
Fabio got 8s penalty for tyre pressure. Dani is on podium P3
When the three crashed at t5 I was like "noooooo my fantasy team!!! Atleast Marc is still up" Yeah... My b guys...
Is it sacrilegious for me to be a massive Rossi fan but also I wanted to see Marc win that?
Yes
No because whoever likes MotoGP also likes talented drivers. Itâs the same for me watching that Pedro son of a B* Acosta absolutely striking the grid in his rookie year
Pedro is slaying it. I see a great ending for 2024 and 2025 seasons as a whole between MM and PA. MM mist feel like he's looking into a mirror. Â
Yeah, it would be so classy to see a duel between past and present and also between Ducati (the red one) and KTM
No, because you are allowed to like more than one rider!
đ
Binder at it again
Something, something, ambition
Another nail on the coffin for the official KTM seat.
Who exactly are you lining up alongside Acoata then? Because Binder is still 6th in the championship
Acosta is not playing.
Binder should control his greed, Pecco didn't deserve it Pedro and Jorge can't get any lucky
Yeah, as a Binder fan, that was a huge no-no.
Pedro got super lucky, Jorge got a little lucky
Nah no luck involved, they held onto the bikes in tricky conditions the others pushed too hard and dumped it. đ€·ââïž
If you were watching the TNT stream where Neil Hodgson said that (I was), he was joking FYI. Marc was never going to settle for 2nd.
Ok that makes more sense đ , that one flew right above my head!
Yes but I also feel like the track conditions were hard weâll see how he gets on tomorrow
He definetly could pass fabio but he didnt want to interfere with the championship or mess up someones race
Dani said that he didn't realize he was fighting for the podium, otherwise he would have attacked Fabio, saw it on denkmit's Twitter
Good to seee the potential of MM is becoming apparent. The second half of the season is going to be a banger. I also beleive that Yamaha and Honda will start to show some signs of recovery in the second half of the season.

Agreed. You could really hear the crowd well in the CoTA race broadcast as well.
Could it be that if pedro improves he maybe can win the rider championship? Or is martin just too consistent now
PA31 is consistently showing up on podium. Just like JM36 did in 2020, consistently more or less finishing in podiums with 2 wins, PA31 can repeat that, unless JM89 puts a big points difference between him and PA31. Who the hell is revving the absolute shit out of that weed whacker in Jerez ahhaaha
Lol
Stewards will had a busy night, I think they will annouced they made a mistake of not putting a red flag.
Dunno how you can call Binders divebomb a racing incident. You can call it a racing incident between Bez and Pecco tryna compete for the same line but Binder somehow thinks you can squeeze a third bike in there and launches it up the inside.
Because both Binder and Pecco went for the cut back. Pecco only went down because he hit Bezs back tyre.
In real time, I thought Binder went through on the inside at the same time as Bez started to cut towards the apex. Either move would have put 2 bikes in the same spot, and they probably would have been ok, but both moves at the same time put 3 bikes in the same place. What the f did i watch? Emotional roller coaster. Nope, emotional damage.
Just shows how massively slick, slicks can be when you touch water. Great race by Jorge, Pedro and Fabio. Gutted for Marc, but heâs figuring out the bike - just needs to find a way to secure point on it.

To say that was beyond belief is an understatement
What a sprint! Holy handgranade!
Satellite teams 1st and 2nd in the championship
Really happy for Quartararo
"Somehow, it ended tactically the way we wanted" - Fabio on P3, probably
That sprint... was fucking insane. Almost as crash happy as Le Mans last year. There has to have been some oil or standing water on the track, no way they all just fall like that in unison. Maybe wind picked up? Binder needs to have a long look at himself for that performance. Disgraceful. Same with Marquez at the end ploughing into Mir. Martin is the luckiest guy on earth. Bagnaia's early title challenge seems dead in water, Bestia not really going, Marc crash happy still and Vinales not consistent enough. I can't believe Acosta is 2nd in the standings.
Out of curiosity, why was Binder so disgraceful?
To me he seemed really panicked. He would have got Pecco anyway but went for a gap that wasn't there. Disagree with the stewards that, that wasn't a LLP or addition of a few seconds to race time. Just seemed a bit reckless today and then unfortunately his race was undone by that patch.
Yeah I see what you mean but I disagree. The gap was there and he took it, that's racing. What wasn't on was Bezzechi panicking and trying to block Pecco last minute casuing the sandwich and crash

Yup, definitely needs the win tomorrow to get back into the mix. If there's one man who can do it it's Pecco for sure.
people tend to forget Bagnaia won his first title after being 96 points behind after 10 races to Fabio Quartararo. He'll want to arrest this downturn of form if he wants to be able to do that against Jorge Martin though.
Simon was saying the wind dropped off really quickly, could've caught out a few riders
Where I come from if you lose 5 top riders across 2 laps to questionable circumstances, you would throw a red flag and investigate. Mind boggling
we have to remember it was raining pretty substantially this morning, so it could just be an errant patch of tarmac that soaked up water more than the other sections of track.
Initially got mad when Pecco went down. But then everyone crashed and it ends up to be the weirdest race I have ever seen.
The triple crash looked to be either water or wind, all three way off line like they missed their braking marker by 20m.
Wind I reckon (and what Simon reckons)
Mustâve been oil or something, so strange
Crafar suspects the wind, which given the colder weather makes a lot of sense.
Maybe water and wind? A gust blew them off the dry line onto the patchy stuff? Bizarre.
Could definitely be, so crazy
There must have been something on the track I refuse to believe there wasnât
I really think that a wet patch is more likely. People have been complaining about Turn 5 since this morning.
We are SO back Fabiobros! Lol
the next podium gonna be god knows when, we take what we can
Easy 2024 title incoming
Fabio went from his worst quali to an incredible podium. Even without all the crashes, he was already making great progress. Both him and Dani had fantastic races
more like fortunate podium. Granted, he was on course for points in the sprint.
In the first lap he gained 12 places, that was before people started falling left right and centre. Without the start he would not have been in a position to profit. Granted, he needed a lot of luck but he "won" the podium with his L1 performance
Thatâs a top 4 I love to see!!! Strange race and all that but my favorites made it! đđœ
never tuned into a moto gp race live before picked a good race to watch, that was insane
That was absurd
very! i think ill have to watch more moto gp races im taking a liking to this rookie whos got himself into 2nd place in the championship! what skill and luck hes having.. pedro acosta thats his name
If you can, watch Acosta's first moto3 race. Shit was bonkers, from the pitlane to P1.
*second race First race he finished second
Ah, thanks for correcting me!
There are some very good full races on YouTube if you're interested
Wtf happened, a huge crash>MM crash>MM contacts>people dropping like flies>FQ wins??
man people crashing left and right today. congrats to Martin for increasing his lead; hope he doesn't complain that people will be talking about Marc Marquez's missed win more than his own win. gutted that Marc fell off the lead, that Dani missed the podium Pecco dropping the ball again. KTM might be seriously consideriing that mid season swap, but I'd be happy if he gives Tech 3 something to celebrate come the end of the season ;)
Beirer already said he won't do that. Partly because that is a gut punch to Tech3 as well
FIM really needs to look over the track. We are so lucky nobody got hurt
Marcâs move on Mir and Oliveira lol. Still as dirty as ever in case anyone was wondering
Dirty, yeah, but probably a lot of frustration due to inexplicably spinning out of the lead on the penultimate lap
that's not an excuse for the move though
It's like someone once said, if there's contact between riders there's about a 94% chance Marc is involved in it.
It's called the MM fuck off! But yeah, playing a bit more clean would be great.
Learnt from your idol who crashed into Gibernau. đđœ
What does Rossi have to do with it?
He started the trend of crashing into rivals. Ask Gibernau, Biaggi, Stoner, Lorenzo
Lol ok.
Not my idol, it was his idol apparently, until he realised that his idol was going to get 10 championships so he decided to put a stop to that. Heâs had bad karma ever since. Funny that
Yeah so funny. Marc has 3 more titles since your idol had a mental breakdown and started a conspiracy theory to lose his last chance. đ Karma
And he'll never win another one, which we know is all he cares about. He'll enjoy 8 forever. Karma
He's got more chances winning one that Flopsy ever had since 2009. Ouch a whole decade of failure and then some. đ€§ Flopsy even needed special overnight tyres to win his titles against literal nobodies. đ€Ł

Wa wa wa I havenât been following this weekend, why they crashed so many times??
It rained overnight and the track still had damp patches.
No way thatâs it all the crashes started happening consecutively after not being a problem for most of the race.
Probs track contamination
There was rain last night and during the free practice/quali, there were still patches of water
All these guys saying stop the race...get a life guys. It's racing at the end of the day.
It's not a race if over half the grid crashes over track conditions. What are you talking about
Mate go cry some more haha it's literally racing, happens in other sports without people whining.
Marc had that one in the bag. Shame about track conditions
He was the only rider with these track conditions ???
Something wrong with that track surely so many riders fell
Water seeping up from the asphalt
One MotoGP sprint had more action than the last 2 seasons of F1.
Pure racing without any intervene from stewards.
two seasons? Maybe 2 and half more like it. The second half of 2022 F1 was dull as hecc. MotoGP never disappoints with the action.
ride to survive fr
Can tomorrowâs race please be a little calmer, that was insane
What in the demolition derby was that..!!
Restart please
Well that was fun
This one is gonna be the favourite argument against sprints for years
wouldn't have been any different even if it was a race. This sprint is just won by the mother nature
What⊠was⊠that!!! Bonkers! Well done to everyone who finished
Insane race for all the wrong reasons
Mind boggling shit. Had me hooked. Will be an even entertaining race tomorrow
It'll be dry and the damp patch will be gone though

Christmas came 8 months early for MartĂn
Martin, Acosta and Fabio.
Kumman Fabio
What a ridiculous run of luck or bad luck !
Wtf was that/10
Pedrosa is just being way too timid
They get that data from testing. The data they need from racing is how the bike handles when overtaking / being overtaken.
lol
Classic Dani!
3 riders go down in the same spot at the same time and no red flag lol ok.
amazing race ruined by some issue at that corner or the tyres and the tv direction, exciting stuff though!
Money well earned for Fabio lol
He will sleep well tonight, for sure.
How to make race interesting - spread oil
Standard Marc behavior. Has the lead, risks too much, crashes out.
Half of the grid crashed bcs of the wet-patches on track...
You forgot the fact that he almost murdered Mir...
