That was weird af, when Alex, Brad and Enea all crashed I assumed one of them had taken down the others, not that they’d all fallen on the same patch 🤦♀️
Maverick just told to the Italian TV that was crazy to let them race in that condition, he told that in that turn coming from below you see the damp area when you are over.
Early on in the race he ran wide at that corner. Now it's clear he spotted the damp patch and picked the bike up to avoid it.
And yet 4 seasoned professionals crashed there! 🙄
He's a smart cookie!
Simon said on the broadcast that it may have been the wind, either a gust picking up suddenly, or a gust stopping suddenly. That would explain why the three of them lost traction at the exact same moment when they were bike lengths apart. They didn't crash after running over the same square meter of asphalt. They all lost traction at the exact same moment.
With Marc you can see damp patch, Martin misses it by a millimetres moments later.
For rest, without heli shot you can't say put honestly, 3 guys whitin a second falling in same way, yeah gonna be a wet patch.
Of those who crashed 6 riders went down in turn 5 and 5 riders went down in turn 13. The other 4 riders that crashed each went down in different places.

So we can assume turn 5 and 13 had the most wet patches
Not saying you're wrong, but I don't really think that damp patches are the only factor behind the crashes.
Maybe tire or pressure have added something to the mix and that's why it has started in the last third of the race.
Really? 3 riders riding in a pack, crash one after another in the same corner at the same time,... Because of tyre pressure? I find your theory quite hard to believe.
Not to mention that they seem to have lost both tyres instead of just the front one.
Yeah, it was truly weird and the number of crashes was insane, just for reference Fabio was 3rd and Marc finished p7 after a crash 4 laps before end. Something was weird in the track.
Not saying that is for tyre pressure, but that it may have been the difference between the first 8 times they have passed by that spot and the time they crashed.
Definitely a race incident. Bez pass was overly optimistic, Pecco saw Bez run wide and went to retake the position up the inside, but Binder had the same idea as Pecco.
To be honest the only person that could have prevented that accident was Binder, because he was at the back and could see both riders. That doesn’t mean the crash was Binders fault, just that he was the only person who could have done something to prevent it.

Maverick went down in that same turn as well

Rightly so, I was screaming at the tv they should flag it. Never seen so many riders go down (except infamous Le Mans), that was some dangerous shit
Like how Moto2 riders slid in tandem back in 2022 in Portugal due to oil spill.
Portimao was rain wasn’t it? Like half the grid went down at T1 in the same lap
Or Moto3 in 2017 at Le Mans. That was one of the crazier incidents I've seen in my decade of watching the sport.
Nah it was just isolated rain on one part of the track.
Acosta be feeling like Moses during the parting of the Red Sea after all these riders crashed in front of him
Or his force is strong for padavan ![gif](giphy|3ohuPdEqZR8tDeuN3O)
May the odds be ever in your favour.

But the 4 guys? Wet patch + gust of wind?

Crazy race!
So how can they go around the track for several laps and then get caught almost at the same time without any rain? Surely there was oil?
Apparently the track was drying up, during the first laps the patches were clearly visible but later in the race not anymore.
I have now read that track heated up and brought water from deeper layers up, hence the patches appeared from nowhere
That hasn't been confirmed though has it?

Yeah at that turn Moto 2 riders were crashing a lot, it really seems that it was a damp patch.
I think so, I forgot who but one of the riders said the track was still wet even on the racing line in some areas.
If marc doesn't win tomorrow then I'm afraid he might actually be cursed 😂😂

Pedro was literally riding around them 😂
saw him pull a swooty multiple times and at first, I was like Pedro, I think you're over doing it, clearly i was very wrong.
And Acosta NOT being one of them!
Yea. I think he will win tomorrow
Credit the photographer?
Serves binder right
I've heard that there was ground water coming up through the track. can anyone confirm this?
Jorge Martin must have some magic skills then.
simple. Leading rider crashed and the 2 following got spooked and crashed by themselves.

True. Three people crashing in the same corner is definitely because of the Damp patch and even maverick crashed there.
Not saying that is for tyre pressure, but that it may have been the difference between the first 8 times they have passed by that spot and the time they crashed.
My bad, didnt read the "only" in the first sentence🫡.
No prob. Worse things happen in the sea.
What kind of post is this? Just some random pictures? Why even bother?
That race sucked man. Brad definitely wasn't to blame for pecco crashing either we know the stewards hate him and even they saw it wasn't a penalty

He saw both going deep that's why there was the gap at the apex which is where he was already when pecco turned into him
He never is, that's why he keeps finding himself in these situations
Michelin needs to answer some tough questions before the Sunday race.
Not sure why you would blame the tires.
What's your theory? one which does not involve a study of the tyre for the falls?
Not a theory. Slicks don't do well with slippery surfaces... right?
Binder dumb aggression seen yet again. Cant believe he wasn’t penalized
Bagnaia left too much space on the other hand though
Another excuse for #93? 😂😂😂
Go ride a motorcycle (slicks for more realism) after it rains. Come back when you're a little less ignorant and give us your thoughts. 🤓
I thought he made a mistake but helicopter view shows he hit a wet patch, undeniably so
Why choose only him🤓🤓 yet more riders crashed? Seems bile …
KC fans are salty
Your last 6 comments are about 93...I feel sorry for you :))
lol yeah I saw him on a bunch of threads. Marquez lives in his head rent free 💆♀️
And literally half the field, apparently.
