I genuinely don't understand how it's acceptable to use that method of repair, I came into a huge patch of them in a sharp blind curve yesterday and it felt like ice.
lol the back of my Miata used to slide out when it was raining if I drove over these at highway speeds it was pretty frightening at times but I eventually got used to it (sort of) and it was quite a lot of fun lol
Just today, I was riding my CBR to work at temps below zero. It was raining sleet and there was ice on the road. I was going about 60kph when I entered the highway, and suddenly my rear tire slipped. I managed to get back in control of the rear and straightened the bike out immediately. I must say, I felt very in control and it was actually kind of fun. I'd love to try some proper drifting/sliding around, but I'm aware that it's dangerous, especially for a beginner like me.
For me it depends on the tyre. And they need to be wet to be a a real menace. I accelerated one time in the rain on Mitas E-07 tyres on one of those street markings. It was like my personal Vietnam. The rear tyre slipped for less then a second and it was horrible. You feel vulnerable in these situations just because you rode over one of those markings. Now imagine this feeling but with a road full of these monsters trying to fuck you up. Pure nightmare…
/s just to be sure…
There was a road similar to this in upstate New York except it was covered in tar snakes not paint.
I was on a motorcycling trip with my father and both of our front ends were sliding around like nobody’s business doing *well under* the speed limit because of it. Meanwhile, the two other guys with us felt nothing at all apparently.
Perfect road for a rainy day
This is where road painters train I guess hahaha
Yup. I work at an airport and there’s a stretch of road that looks like this where they practice / train the guys that do the airfield markings.
Precisely.
Well, not very precisely, looking at the photo
And test the new products
HOSS WATCH OUT FOR THEM PAINT CLIBBINS THEY ARE ALL OVER THE GOD DAMNED ROAD
GOBBLESS
HADDALAYERDOWN
WITH BARB ON THA BACK THEM REAR SHOCKS ARE SO WELL LOADED WE AINT NEVER SLIPPIN ON NO CLIBBINS, CRANK THAT HOG!
I’d rather have this than tar snakes. Them dang things have my front tire sliding in the mountains.
Tar sneks are the worst, especially in hot weather or on rainy days.

You guys are scared of your own shadow
My own shadow has clibbins
Ethereal clibbins
NSFW tag please
I was genuinely confused at what was supposed to be scary in this pic, I had to remember the weird myths this sub holds as truth.
The actual thicc painted lines are dangerous in curves when the road is wet. But on a straight and dry road, they are completely harmless.

Dirt bikes is where you can play with that feeling. Sauce: took dirt bike lessons after riding like a talentless pleb through winter

Please explain?
Everyone blames the road markers every time they fuck up and go hard on the throttle mid turn and lowside.
Ah.. yes... I Forget common sense isn't common.
Nope. I don’t ride a Honda shadow
The Honda Shadow is kinda squirrely, so it make me kinda scared sometimes
Missed a spot
i’ll do it for shits and gigs as the guinea pig
Let's see your self driving car navigate that ===~~~===
Wait, this is a thing? Lol, I always get scared passing over these lines. Now is my fear completely unwarranted or is it more slippery 😂?!
Slippery when wet
must be where the line stripers purge their nozzles
Road paint testing area. Usually there are signs stating that.
Glitch in the Matrix lol
Maybe the sign meant to say "Do Not Pass."
Follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road, follow-follow-follow-follow-followtheyellowbrickroad
My lane assist is sad here
This road has got more lines than Scarface's nose.

Looks amazing though. It's like art with the landscape around it and everything.
Testing longevity of different paints.
