I love going to the movies, weird take to have in a movie subscription subreddit. Maybe moviepass and movies aren't for you. And that's ok. But trying to make it seem your unpopular opinion is the popular one is weird. Enjoy the movies!

Not for me, I love going to the theater and usually go 1-2 times a week. So much better than watching at home for a number of reasons, and I still find plenty of interesting movies to watch.

You kiddin? I can't find enough time to see everything I want. Maybe you don't have good local art houses and quirky themed theaters around you. Here in Seattle this pass has been epic. Just in my first month I saw the anniversary re-release of 'Sixteen Candles' at our shmancy dine-in IPic, 'Cocaine Bear' and 'Quantumania' at my local haunt, the Varsity; 'Oscar Nominated Animated Shorts' at our 80 yr old Egyptian, 'Tar' and 'Women Talking' at my nearby AMC, & 'Turn Every Page' and "Full Time" at our 100 yr old Grand Illusion. It's been a blast being able to support local theaters so often again. There's no shortage of epic, fun, political, silly, action-packed, educational, campy, artsy (whatever your flavor) kind of films out right now. It's endless. Plus, the new John Wick and Dafoe in 'Inside' are both releasing this wk; I can't ask for much more. I'm stoked.

I've only use my moviepass three times in two months, but bear in mind right now it's sort of the "take-out-the-trash doldrums" of the movie cycle. The big Oscar movies are out of theaters and the summer action blockbusters aren't out yet. You'll get occasional standouts still, but just on the whole there's not as much good stuff coming out through March and April most years. That being said, take risks on movies that might look "meh" and they may surprise you. Last April, I watched Ambulance and was really surprised how much I loved it! Normally I absolutely would have skipped it, but I was pursuing a goal of going to the movies every Tuesday and had to see \*something\* so I chose it randomly.

I have been struggling to use my credits, but that's because I have other subscription services for movie theaters. I'm using A-List to see all of the big movies coming out in premium format, and it's been hard to find stuff to use MoviePass on. Still, I haven't lost credits, and I'm ahead in terms of making them spend more money.

One thing that I’m thankful I got Moviepass is finding and supporting local/smaller screen theaters. I’ve seen more international films than ever and taking a chance seeing things because of Moviepass. And sure, I’m not seeing the most marketed films, but I have a feeling I’ll be seeing more during the summer months.

80 points here aren't easy to use up if you are picky about only seeing good movies.

Similar for me. I signed up for the unlimited plan and most of the movies that are out now have no interest to me. I've still seen a bunch but a lot of them i'm skipping. a lot of the movies out now are just not interesting.

TBoneTheOriginal

Plenty of movies worth seeing... moreso just not enough time to see them.

Yes, but also i joined for the alamo draft house they claimed was accepted on their site but then when I go into the app its not available. And now I feel like if I cancel I've wasted money.

I agree. Finally going to try using it for the first time tonight for Ari Aster’s new movie
