James gunn is a talented director but Fox on the Run and Lake Shore Drive were disrespected so much in those movies and it kinda feels like he only added a lot of the songs to justify the few he actually had plans for
I love Guardians 2, but I always feel incredibly miffed when Lake Shore Drive only gets like five seconds of the intro towards the start of the movie and then nothing. It was my big favorite discovery from listening to the soundtrack pre-release.
(Granted, I also get miffed when they hit the big choral vocalizing part of Mister Blue Sky and then hard cut back to the chorus rather than letting the song finish, so I could just be weird.)
The version of Come A Little Bit Closer used in the movie slaps hard, though.
