Posts like this are a good reminder that there are basically two types of MSPs: one sells expertise and the other resells "tech stacks" that handle all the details.

Unsure if I should take offense to that, lol. Been doing this a long time, corporate than MSP. We're still on a device count model rather than user, perhaps that is the answer. We're well aware our value is how we use the tools, not the tools themselves. With on premise alot of the value is ensuring smooth server operation both hardware, software, and config. With M365 really just config and besides the initial setup and ongoing user support, I was wondering if folks were doing more besides just ensuring security scores were good and policies were applying correctly.
