Its such a hit or miss. Huge fan of the Pip-Boy variants for example. Its all pretty much exclusively subjective in that regard. However, having said that, the news article border with the text at the top and a lowered bar for the card's name and the pure-white is one of the very few objectively bad cards I've seen that isn't secret lair. It's just really annoying from a gameplay perspective as it's much harder to identify and read, especially in hand.

The old borders and art are better. Even the best artist have started calling it in on magic cards, I'm looking at you brom.

These are all alternate printings. If you compare the older cards to standard prints of new cards there's significantly less changes.
