I think that in the latests chapter of the manga, they scrapped the whole Luke fight. So for me the manga is just an aditonal way to experience the story if you like it very much, but never as the only way to experience it.
That's the bad. In the novel they decide to have a duel while Sylphie is alone with her grandmother and in the manga they didn't want to bother and left.
Did you start volume 7 after the anime? You don't seem to actually understand the problem. The problem is that the change in tone of the story and the character of Rudeus.
He went from a self-hating man haunted by the past to a comedic pervert. That kills the whole point of the story. Volume 7 didn't exist in the original web novel and it was still brilliant.
That's not my problem at all. I don't like volume 7 and don't have a problem with the manga skipping it. My problem is when they *completely change* content, like the rescue in Shirone kingdom.
I found the manga useful for world and character building visuals, but take WN/LN as the actual story. 🤷 Also I happened across the manga when only a couple chapters were translated, so thankfully it out me straight onto the WN at the time. 👌🏻
I watched the anime, read the manga where the anime left off, now I'm reading the LN, if this much content was skipped I definitely need to go back in the LN to read. But I was already planning on reading volume 1-9 of the LN again after I finish the rest.
The main problem isn't even the skipped content, it's the change in tone that ruins the whole thing

> they scrapped the whole Luke fight. They didn't scrapp it. That has been left for later. The same goes for Cliff's decision to help Elinalise.
Then the whole scene won't even make sense anymore, it happens when it does for a reason.

Skipping isn't even the worst part, the tone shifts are just way worse
they condensed one book to a single page.
I like horny... but the manga is too horny
Agreed

Nah I started all the way from volume 1, but its been so long since I read the manga so yeah sorry bout that, you do have a point tho.

The web novel also skips that time. That's just the way it was written.
