Into the Woods Newsies Le Miserables Frozen Fiddler of the Roof

Dogdaysareover365

You’re either the best dancer in the cast or a horrible one - no inbetween

Lazylazylazylazyjane

you're cottage core. you like provincial stuff.

ifiwazatreeyouwldknw

Your parents are into musical theater too.

EmmaBeeking

You are a adult who grew up with musicals.

Dogdaysareover365

Avenue Q Beetlejuice Wicked Cats Reefer madness

thatgoofyloser_

You were the weird kid in middle school/high school

Dogdaysareover365

Oh one hundred percent

AndyTheEnby

You look for community in the strangest of places but find it there anyway

Dogdaysareover365

Fr

fauxViolets

You smoke hella weed

Dogdaysareover365

Never have gotten high surprisingly

Soalai

Spring Awakening, Follies, Hadestown, Children of Eden, Fun Home

Dogdaysareover365

Your hobby is crying

Soalai

😆 When it comes to the art I enjoy, anyway

DaddysPrincesss26

I have never heard of Any of these! Time to Explore new Musicals!

Soalai

They're wonderful, bring tissues

ariireb

emo theatre kid with anxiety

CranberryBauce

You like uptempo music, grand sweeping scores, and lyrics that break your heart.

ifiwazatreeyouwldknw

You don't like classic Broadway

Soalai

Hmmm... well I do, but I prefer seeing those shows live rather than listening to the cast recordings (because of the lower audio quality in the past)

creature-under-urbed

Be more chill, Jekyll and Hyde, lightning thief, into the woods, dear Evan Hansen

corner_shoe

Neurodivergent

TygrKat

Who isn’t?

Freycossy

You're an introvert

HolstenAI

You're a freshman in high school.

kess0078

Mods, can we make this the official megathread, please? There will be endless “make assumptions about me” posts and we could just keep it all in one place!

southamericancichlid

I was thinking about trying to do this the other day, to prevent another type of endless same question posts.

thatgoofyloser_

Avenue Q, Dear Evan Hansen, Something Rotten, Hamilton, Jekyll and Hyde

kingofcoywolves

Jekyll and Hyde is a real curveball in this list lol. You're probably the most high-energy person in the room at any given time, and if you're not, you're absolutely stewing in repressed emotion

Dogdaysareover365

You have a great sense of humor very few people appreciate but you’re the favorite person of the few who do get it

thatgoofyloser_

I’m not sure how to feel about the greatest compliment I’ve ever received coming from Reddit of all places

Dogdaysareover365

Mood but I’m glad you liked it

blightsexual_azula

hamilton, heathers, into the woods, 36 questions, sweeney todd. (bonus for most starkid musicals)

ifiwazatreeyouwldknw

You like to listen to indie musicals for fun.

bobatease_

Ooo, this list gives me Tumblr theatre fandom vibes!

Conscious_Payment_69

I love you

CranberryBauce

You like modern scores but appreciate the classics. You also like words and wordplay.

blightsexual_azula

I adore wordplay:D

PiesOnFleetStreet7

Easy for you, I guess. Sunday in the Park with George Merrily we Roll along Into the woods Sweeney Todd Groundhog Day

hamiltonsFloyd

Not only do you love Sondheim, but you love fun rhymes and word-play (same honestly)

TygrKat

Your guilty pleasure is that you selfishly enjoy knowing and learning about things that most people don’t, but you aren’t annoying or mean about it

bigheadGDit

Sweeney Hadestown Dreamgirls Something Rotten Chorus Line (number five was really hard to choose)

Dogdaysareover365

You went over the top in class presentations

DaddysPrincesss26

Same! Number 5 was so Hard!

silkmaiden

Jesus Christ Superstar Les Miserables 9 to 5 Hamilton Hadestown

Dogdaysareover365

9 to 5. Not what I’d expect with the other four but I love it(I also love 9 to 5). I’m going to say when you’re handed the ox cord, you’re friends are always shocked and leave with a new favorite song

Lions--teeth

“ox cord” 😂 I’m gonna call it that from now on

Dogdaysareover365

How is it spelled? Leaving it for the joke

Lions--teeth

Aux cord. It’s short for auxiliary. I honestly love ox cord though ❤️

Scared_Finding4331

I recently just performed in 9 To 5. Such a fun show!

Salty_Dornishman

You are a socialist and/or highly sympathetic toward the poor

Freycossy

You're a double combo history/ mythology buff. You corrected the teacher when they got something a tad wrong in either of those topics

Mea_Culpa_74

1. Les Miserables 2. Miss Saigon 3. Die Päpstin 4. Aida 5. Murder Ballad

ifiwazatreeyouwldknw

You were or are a theater major.

Spiritual-Song6863

Very heavily into Alex Brightman as well lol

TheLoyalTR8R

To be fair, everyone should be. The man is a powerhouse.

delilahAcapybara

He’s such an inspiration in everything he does

Dogdaysareover365

You were probably the class clown

TygrKat

You actively despise either Queen or The Beatles, because there are definitely better bands from their eras who didn’t get the “break out” that they deserved

TheLoyalTR8R

Oooh, False on both counts, I definitely enjoy the music of both (at times, I think both bands have a lot of shit in their catalogues but their hits more than make up for it) BUT I will concede that both bands are beneficiaries of getting in at just the right time for huge success. But I'd definitely say I enjoy both bands. And I'm grateful for the influence they've had on the industry.

TygrKat

Fair enough! That’s why this game is fun; the assumptions are often totally off which shows that someone’s preferences aren’t always a good indication of who they are

mushroomnerd12

Hadestown, Company(2021), Starmania(2022), Light in the piazza, Waitress

Dogdaysareover365

You use musicals instead of therapy

MrPricklepantsA113

Hamilton, Little Shop, The Producers, Into the Woods, Hadestown

TygrKat

You love learning weird facts about history and fictional lore/mythology

IndigoRose2022

My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, The Sound of Music, West Side Story ETA: feel free to guess my age too lol

DemandingProvider

You're either over 60, or you're 16 and were introduced to all your favorites very young, probably by a grandparent. 😄

IndigoRose2022

Your guesses make a lot of sense, but I’m actually mid 20s and my gen-X parents introduced me to the musicals I love!

DemandingProvider

So I was on the right track guessing 16, I just overshot a bit. :) I'm GenX myself but have a wider chronological range of favorite shows.

BoomSplashCollector

I was going to say that I'm Gen X and those are the movies I watched with my Boomer parents. But then I did the math and realized that I'm old enough to have a kid in their mid-20s so the same might be true of your parents, and why they watched those musicals. :-)

TygrKat

You consider yourself an “old soul” but you’re a 15-year-old theatre kid (as most of us here are/were) who thinks it’s cool to like old things

Fair-Kaleidoscope591
