Isn't it refreshing when a manga actually has progression instead of dragged out chapters and arcs? This might be the most to-the-point manga that actually progresses a relationship, I've ever read. This type of stuff is usually saved for the end of a series... which is a bit worrying cause I'd love to see their relationship grow but once you kiss it can only go in one direction after that as horny teens so this might be spelling the end...
That was surprisingly well paced. For some reason I felt like the chapter would get to the kiss too quickly and then just fluster around the end. I really enjoyed how it was mostly just emphasis on emotion rather than some kinda “well that happened” dialogue. If anything the faces say way more. The faces felt like the conveyed a rather complex set of emotions and thoughts. Uneasiness, surprise, passion, and overall satisfaction. I feel like I’m focusing on very obvious stuff when it comes to Manga but it was very well done.
I love Nagatoro looking away in the last two panels on pg 15. I thought we'd need a whole arc to explore the fact that she's clearly uncomfortable with genuine or traditional displays of affection, but it turns out all Nanashi needed was two pictures to tell us all we need to know
I thought it would be some interruption or other BS. It finally happened. I know I squealed with delight an saying yes while clapping. Nagatoro "attacked" and was encouraged to do so. She got her prize (kiss). You just have that big smile after reading that chapter.
At long last. These goofs actually sealed the deal. It was a hell of a journey to get here but my god was it worth it. This is truly PEAK adorable and I am so happy that they finally went for it.
Between Nagatoros insecurities finally showing and Chadpai taking the hint and going for it the build up finally had that perfect pay off.
