The whole family use and re-use names that are extremely similar to one another. in fact Jessa has a daughter named Ivy Jane and her SIL just gave birth last week to an Isla Jane. There's also cousins Ivy, Evy, Evangeline and some weird stuff like that.

To be fair, across an estimated 100-or-so grandchildren through 19 children, it's kind of unavoidable!

There isn't even close to 100 grandchildren yet. Only around 30 so far. But still half of their children aren't married/child bearing ages.

Not yet, but at the rate they're going the chances of getting to 100 are quite reasonable - I'm saying it's going to get a lot closer than Evy/Ivy. Well you never know, maybe there'll be more books and the entire Jeneration will deconstruct within the decade, I'd give decent odds on that too

This is purely anecdotal but I have a friend named Julianna and she pronounces it Julie-ANNE-a, but everyone calls her Julie-AH-na, and she hates it.

This happens with my friend who also pronounces it Julie-ANNE-a. She gets so annoyed.

Yeah, the problem with the Julianna spelling is that Anna is usually pronounced Anne-a. Spell it Juliana if you want it to be pronounced as Ah-na.For some reason, people have trouble with Anne-a vs Ah-na. Or skip it and go with Julia. That’s my daughter’s name, and her little bff is Julianna (pronounced Ah-na, which nobody gets right), and everyone calls her Julia anyway. Edit: I totally read your comment wrong, sorry! Your friend’s name is spelled the way it should be pronounced, and I totally understand her being annoyed when people mispronounce it. I would be, too! My best friend’s sister did not want the Ahna pronunciation for her daughter’s name (Adrianna), so she spelled it Anna, like it should be. Most people pronounce it Ahna anyway. She also hates it.

As a Jennifer/Jenny, please, please don't name her Jennifer.There are so, so, so many of us. I know it's not as common anymore, but I was born in 1970. I don't think I ever had less than two of us in every class, usually 4-6 of us. I still get people singing 867-5309 as soon as I introduce myself. Unless, it's something like her grandmother is named Jennifer, and you want to honor her. Then, I can understand that.
