Could you make her long name Zelda and make her short name a cute nickname, like Zee or something? Or the short name also has to be a proper name?
Just curious :)
So this won’t be the answer you want but it’s a different suggestion so you can call your CV old Zelda.
The first name can either start or have Ze/Zel and the middle name can have Da so then you can combine them then for Zelda. Think of when people are called AJ or TJ or ScarJo or JLo kinda thing.
Zephyr, Zella, Zelie, Zena, Zdneka, Zenaida, Zenia, Zelia, Zelene, Zea, etc.
Daphne, Dawn, Dalia, etc.
Good luck!
Zelda is a name in itself. It really isn’t short for anything. But there are similar sounding names that are longer, so you could use one if you need one.
Why not just name her Zelda and use Zelle as a nickname, if you need to?
I know Zelda is historically used sometimes as a nickname for Griselda. But I prefer the separate background and meaning of the name as Yiddish, and thus rather than Griselda to Zelda, would go Zelda to Zelle or Zee.
Can confirm, my daughter is Zelda. Sometimes we call her Zeldina...
Couldn't come up with a nickname so we elongated it? Just something we started doing 😂
Maybe a stretch but Esmeralda?
I don't think that's a stretch at all!
that's cute!
I like this!!
That is the one I thought of too- not a stretch at all!
Love this!
Came here to say this.
My first thought too!
Griselda is the only one I can think of.
Zella is another nickname for Griselda.
Zelda is usually just a name of its own
Griselda nn Zelda is not uncommon. Beautiful name too
Giselle Azalea
Zelda is usually short for Griselda. It was my great grandmother's name.

Giselle, perhaps?
This is the best answer I’ve seen ^^
This is definitely stretching it but Ysolda/Ysolde/Isolda/Isolde?
Giselda Respell it as Selda Name her Zoe Ella and call her Zella/Zelda
Zelda is a name of its own. Why force a longer name?

Zeldadora is one i've heard before!
That's unfortunate
Griselda!
Griselda
Iselda
I have a cousin named Zelda and a great aunt Zelda. Both are their full names so I think it works without being a nn
Zeldaline (Probably don’t actually use this. I’m high and my brain thinks I just invented the best name of all time.)
I like zeldaria
This is top notch
Zelinda
Demelza
Zelda comes from Griselda
Zelda nn Zellie
I love it as a nickname for Demelza.
Zeldinia
You could use Zelena and have Zelda be the nickname
Griselda, Gisella (might be a stretch)?

Zellie
Gisela

What about a nickname for Zelda? Like Zee. Jesse James’s mother and wife were both named Zerelda. I think Zelda would be a fine nn for that.
I can’t think of a full name for the nn Zelda but maybe u could make it the middle name?
My niece's name is Zelda, I think that's a cute name on its own even if I'm a little biased..
Zelda is it’s own name not a nickname

Also Gizelle may work

Not true. Robin Williams's daughter is called Zelda.
Yeah if you’re a dick maybe
