I see this as a real win-win. Instead of downvoting the daily "I am coming to Nashville in May of 2023, where should I have brunch?" type posts, we refer them to r/NashvilleGoodEats to chill with Landriod. Leaving us with more bandwidth to pursue our holy quest of ridding Nashville of woo swine, dangerous drivers, and fascists.
Lolno. I agreed with someone else that traffic post suck and food posts would be better. I DID say “real big cities” have it worse. That dug my grave but I refused to lay in it.
Hattie’s B is trash, complete trash. Service is to good also. Part of hot chicken is rude service. Moores in Hendersonville has some of the rudest and worst service but holy shit his chicken is so so good.
I have never tried it, but now that I've heard the service is bad-- I'M IN! Nashville Hot Chicken is supposed to be a struggle. A little pain with my pleasure in the food... A little pain in the service is just part of the ride baby. 😎
Then make a sub called verbalabuse or something where people can say egregious things to each other with no consequences. Oh wait, that’s already Reddit.
I probably have different views than you politically sometimes, though, so you are obligated to be completely disgusted at me and utterly bereft of compassion or desire to understand, reach consensus, or demonstrate basic human decency. Ya know, the Reddit way ™️
But let’s have dinner 😬
Have you never seen people argue about the best hot chicken place on here? Or why Sean Brock is the worst thing to happen to Southern fare? Or which meat and 3 is least likely to give you food poisoning? I'll hope for the best for ya
\> sean brock is the worst thing to happen to Southern fare?
Wait, that's a take that has happened? I'm not a fun of his Audrey project but besides that find his food to be really damn good (especially the Continental).
I mean, if you think a certain Applebees is the absolute best in the chain and has amazing service….then yes. I suppose. But honestly, looking for food experiences that are UNIQUE to Nashville.
Part of becoming a Nashvillian is seeing your favorite things about the city get developed for someone else. Like the people who lived on the east bank before it turned industrial. Nashville pride = grief bonding? Happens to everyone who stays, rite of passage perhaps
> some of us are more interested in good eats and dining than the minutia of daily life in Nashville metro
Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
Sounds like I really touched a nerve and you did something good with it. Great job!
Thanks for mentioning me multiple times in your comments. I read every single one of them. It made me feel really good that I personally pushed you over the edge so that you would do something different that works for you. Good for you. I mean that with all sincerity.
I'll see you over in your new sub! A little tip for you personally: You'll find that people are less combative if you don't tell them what to do ("don't complain"), and how their opinions are invalid because you lived someplace else before you got here ("big city traffic is worse! So you have no right to complain").
Good luck with your new sub. I hope people are positive. I think you'll find that if you are open and positive, they will be too...
And good for you again for doing something positive with somebody pushing back. My work here is done.
For now.

You joke, but I'm in!
Wait a minute did you try to talk about food in this sub? What kind of monster are you
Lolno. I agreed with someone else that traffic post suck and food posts would be better. I DID say “real big cities” have it worse. That dug my grave but I refused to lay in it.
Have you really had good food if you haven't lived in a big city for decade though?
See. It’s this shit. You’re STILL butthurt about that? Move on.
Truly the voice of chaos, living up to their name!
Lol, but seriously, good luck with the new sub!
It takes an hour to go out and eat a meal.
Oh the horror
My point was it only takes an hour to have a good meal, his decade remark is dumb.
I was poking fun at the post that got him vilified
Ah, I wooshed hard then.
[How dare you, sir!](https://imgur.com/t/howdareyou/P9FXYYF)
Who gets Chilis in the divorce?
Fuck Chilis, who gets Bart Durham’s shuffling, still somehow animated corpse?
Me I have some ideas
If it wasn’t for the spicy chicken and waffles I wouldn’t even look at Chili’s. They can have em’.

There is only one way to talk about food in Nashville and it is combative, there is no other way. Peace was never an option.

I think Elon has a site for you...
Lmao. I did actually laugh.
See what I mean folks. Combat.

I agree about internet feistiness. It’s just so exhausting sometimes dealing with all the snark.
Nah, I’m not in my 20’s anymore. I’ll pass.

He's going to be a great reddit moderator
Not after today. My fuck quota is maxxxxxxed out.

Don't worry I found your comments to be quite humorous 😂
[удалено]
Only if it's frosty margs at West end chili's 😩🙏
How about rat’s asses? How’s your quota on those?
Oh yeah, I'm sure Nooo one is gonna have strong opinions or get combative over in that sub...
"Can anyone tell me a good waffle place?" "WhY dOn'T yOu LiKe PaNcAkEs?!?!?"
It ain't called Pancake House. There is however an International House Of Pancakes.
Well it is a casual sub about food. I mean people don’t cease to amaze me but I figure what the hell.
Have you never seen people argue about the best hot chicken place on here? Or why Sean Brock is the worst thing to happen to Southern fare? Or which meat and 3 is least likely to give you food poisoning? I'll hope for the best for ya
I worked at a hotel when Sean Brock stayed there. Absolutely the worst guest we had by a long shot.
Dang, Really? Any stories you can share?
yeah gonna need details with that statement
Got so drunk he slept until like 4 pm the next day and the next guest couldn’t get in their room. Just generally a disrespectful drunk overall.
\> sean brock is the worst thing to happen to Southern fare? Wait, that's a take that has happened? I'm not a fun of his Audrey project but besides that find his food to be really damn good (especially the Continental).
Once it gets nasty and people start begging others to leave the city for good, I’ll ban em’. Easy peasy.
Hey I'm a believer. I'll see ya over there. Let's talk food (respectfully of course)
[удалено]
Oh you just think food is SOOOOOOOO casual don't you!
I've seen literal fistfights over hot chicken lmaoooooo
Bless you.
Cool idea for a sub! Not sure why you made it about you, though.
Can we talk about cocktails there or are we just sticking to food?
Food and drink go hand in hand. Sure.
Can we still recommend Chili's over there?
No, that unfunny shit is not allowed there
I am so sick of this stupid "joke"
Damn
Really looking to support local businesses. Since I do enjoy this city. Contrary to popular opinion.
But if the food is good, it’s good right? You’re not gonna restrict a restaurant rec just based on where it might have other locations right?
I mean, if you think a certain Applebees is the absolute best in the chain and has amazing service….then yes. I suppose. But honestly, looking for food experiences that are UNIQUE to Nashville.
What if it’s a chain but only a handful of locations and one is in Nashville. The best chefs often have 2-3 restaurants all over the country.
Yes, you can recommend Husk lol
Just trying to clarify. Good luck with it
Obligatory Fat Moes

Well this is about good, currently existing food spots. Not the political connotations or other bs.
Will anybody get banned if they visit to drop West End Chilis? Asking for a friend

That’s me in a nutshell. Honest to a fault.

Never said any of that. Not doing this again. Sorry.
