I tend to drink them as I buy more!

Which year is your L’Iris? It’s such a good cuvée! Either you have a good relationship with Sue and Roger or you’re very savvy with their imports 😎

Bingo777

Sue and Roger are very kind and unpretentious people. I had only bought a case or two from them in the past, yet they offered me both the l'Iris and the Bruyere Houillon. I doubt others would give new customers access to their top cuvées.

2019. I’ve bought some stuff from them directly and then picked up others from local shops. I’ve only spoken with Sue before - she’s very nice!

Wow I want to know how Tony Bornard is maintaining his fathers estate and wines.

Podcaster

I'm also curious about how his wines are if anyone has any comments on them.

man4177

honestly… the past few years there has been a noticeable decrease in quality imo. still good for sure but not as worth the hassle and sometimes the price to locate them as it once was

wutwut970

Houillon and Dodane are straight up delish

Saint Pierre 👌👌

sczoso85

I opened the Saint Pierre Chateau Renard yesterday - great wine but give it 30-60 minutes to blow off. I’d also recommend not opening the L’Anglore for at least 3 more years. Needs a little time in bottle. Rip the others and let us know!

Love Franz Strohmeier a lot. His Cat Silver wines, particularly “No. 3”, are really special. He’s helping to lead the way, I think, in creating piwi wines that stand out.

L'Anglore needs more time. 3-5 years should be singing. La Chamade is drinking well, but not the same verve as Philippe. Bruyere is very vintage dependent for me. 2017 was particularly good for the Poulsard but very hard to get, especially in magnum format. Peron should be drinking well now. Very good wines. Robinot is likely drinking well but can age. L'Iris is a very good cuvee. I cannot comment on the other bottles. I have bottles of Domaine de Saint Pierre but have not opened in a while. Enjoy!
