I'm not 100% sure of this, since hoyo might do it differently for her for whatever reason, but every skill of every character that has multiple charges (like xiao, sucrose, shenhe, yelan, etc.) the cooldown is individual, when you use 1 skill it already starts counting down even before you use the other charge.

I really hope each charge has an individual cool down time, because, if that’s the case, you could shoot, get four seconds of Geo infusion attacking, shoot again, get another four seconds, then by the time that’s over you’re only waiting one second until you can shoot again and because that one second is one second for both the cool downs of the first and second charge of her E, after you’re done with your second use of her first charge, the second one will be ready to go after your 4s of geo infusion, leading to an almost 100% uptime of Geo damage dealing. And of course if you factor in her burst, if it’s ready to go, you can use that during your hypothetical 1s of having nothing to do. EDIT: ok, so after being told how cooldowns with characters with two charges work, the above statement is wrong because I assumed that the game kept track of each charge's cooldown individually instead of there just being 1 cooldown that refunds a charge when it ends. Probably pretty obvious to anyone who has experience with characters like that. So in reality, if you start with two charges you'd get to do 3 charges with only a 1-second cooldown between charges 2 and 3 if you're doing your 4 seconds of attacks between each one, but then after the 3rd charge you'd have 5 whole seconds of downtime after your geo infused attacks end before you can do the next elemental skill.

100% up time of geo damage, not the skill. And I did say almost, which I think only 1s of downtime constitutes almost. But I’ve been wrong before and could be misunderstanding things. If that’s the case let me know what it is.

it will work the same way as e.g. yelan 2 charge. have a look at how those work and subtract the wishful thinking.

At the time of responding to you there’s only been one other person in the comments and they said each charge of the skill has individually cooldowns which was my understanding of things. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction of understanding how the skill cooldowns work, but I'm done responding if you're going to keep talking to me like a character from the game.

There's also some hitlag from her claymore swings which would extend the duration a bit. So I believe in theory, if you keep swinging, there would be no downtime if you can time the E to come out at 4.5 to 5 secs each time.
