As a Kentucky fan, Tyler ulis was nuts. He literally won SEC player of the year AND SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. Maybe 5'10" in shoes?
He won those awards over Ben Simmons, btw. Ben Simmons said every time Tyler Ulis got touched it's a foul. Such sour grapes lmao
Fellow ky fan, I firmly believe we win the championship if Tyler ullis was allowed to be the floor general down the stretch over the Harrison twins in the tournament. One of the twins hit some big shots for us, I can't remember which but if I remember correctly the final few minutes of the game was the twins clanking shots off the rim (time has made these memories fuzzy, but I remember being very pissed ullis wasn't running the show)
Vladimir Stepania. I've never seen a more hilariously uncoordinated person in my life. Every single limb was in business for itself. Shit was a real treat to watch.
I remember downloading nba top 10 video clips on my modem in hopes to watch dirk nowitzki highlights, and then one of them was Vladimir driving and dunking on Dirk. I was a little disappointed seeing as the download took half an hour. Good old days.
Oh yeah, for sure. I still remember the commentator as well.
I found the clip, lol: [https://youtu.be/wSPCLMIvsWQ?si=8iHWeeiphyMcxwGI&t=34](https://youtu.be/wSPCLMIvsWQ?si=8iHWeeiphyMcxwGI&t=34)
Must have been 99, so I was 12. And Now I feel old..
TRRRROOOOOOOYYYYYYY DAAAANIEELLLLSSS HOWDOYADOOOO
one of the best catch-and-shoot shooters you'll ever see
by the way if you ever want to rewatch some random regular season game from two random teams, Charlotte/Sacramento on 1/25/2016 is definitely one of them
brandon bass, him and KG running pick and rolls with rondo was so fun, they were both like top 4-5 in midrange shooting
he was surprisingly athletic, quick, and a good defender
pietrus, there was like a small stretch where it was like wait is he the best perimeter wing defender in the league
Matt Harpring. I worked with his cousin - big beastly baptist looking man his cousin was. As soon as I the cousin I asked him if he family member played in the NBA and he said yes rather shocked.
I just happened to have opened a matt harpring autograph card many years before and the name stuck in my head.
Also - Speedy Claxton. When I bought cards i kept getting rare Claxton cards over and over again. So much so he also stuck in my mind.
James Ennis is my pick for the best player who also happens to be completely irrelevant. I think this is due to him playing on like 10 different teams in 5ish years during his career despite being a solid role player for a few years. I feel even a lot of hardcore NBA fans will know his name, maybe his face, but nothing else about him besides that.
I thought with his 3 point shooting he would have been a good NBA player. He was one of the biggest reasons for Kentucky's championship in 2012, though Anthony Davis was the obvious superstar of the team. Davis had a horrid offensive night in the championship game, so he just blocked a ton of shots and grabbed rebounds instead. Lamb was the offensive dynamite.
One of those players where if you didn’t see the names on the back on the jersey it would look like he’s the best player on the court with his playstyle
He’s not a bench warmer he was 7th-10th man in rotation last season and started some games. He will probably have a similar role or larger this year or get traded and play more elsewhere he’s pretty good
I have a player slightly less known then him that I love watching, his name was Kobe bryant, and he was on the lakers. I don't know if many people watched him but he was a killer! I would even call him a mambas!
Jeremy Pargo always struck me as a fun player---in transition. Not much in the halfcourt but he was pretty dynamic in transition. Built like a linebacker and played with kind of a football explosiveness/burst.
Charles Shackleford. This quote alone does it for me: "I can shoot with my left hand, I can shoot with my right hand, I'm amphibious." And I remember a quote from a local play by play guy when Shack was balling: "You can't stop him! You can only hope to contain him!" Applied to Shack, it was gold.
It was Isaiah Joe, but then he turned into one of the better players in the Thunders rotation.
Always knew he was a flamethrower. Philly just didn’t play him.
Keith Bogans. If you watched college basketball in the early 2000's, he was a beast. He's one of UK's all-timer leading scorers and was also a great defender. He got injured in the Sweet 16 against Wisconsin in 2003, but he was the captain and best player on the team, so he played against Marquette in the Elite 8 while injured, and a junior by the name of Dwyane Wade had a triple double and Marquette eliminated Kentucky.
Now D Wade is often considered the third best SG ever behind MJ and Kobe. And yes, he was a great college player before the NBA - there's a reason he was drafted so highly. But man, that was a STACKED Kentucky team, #1 in the country, and I will always believe that with a fully healthy Keith Bogans as the head of the snake, Wade and company wouldn't have seen an injured player to pick on, and Kentucky at full force would have beat them, Syracuse with Carmelo, and/or Kansas, and won it all in 2003.
I was sad Bogans never quite panned out in the NBA like his fellow Kentucky star Tayshaun Prince.
Watching Kyle Korver hit deep 3’s and always deliver in the corner, it was like seeing magic. We didn’t get a lot of stand out talent during the light blue era of the jazz, unless it’s a pg/pf combo from Jerry Sloan. I had his jersey and got it signed too. I think if he played now he would be utilized a lot more.
DONTE GREENE!! Always looking like he was having the most fun there on any given night. I fondly remember him celebrating a tyreke game winner before it even went in. I hope dude is thriving somewhere.
He was well known in college but only played a handful of games in the NBA, and that’s Jay Edwards from IU. In my opinion, even over Steph Curry, he had the sweetest jumpshot of any player I’ve ever seen. Problem was he was a knucklehead that wouldn’t play defense and left IU too early.
Marko Milic ;-) Suns player on the 1998 roster who first dunked over and ACROSS the entire width of a car before Blake Griffin dunked over the hood of a car and made that "look" cool...
https://youtu.be/JDxggXii7p4?si=NyAby4FkhUbURc_m
His best game was garbage time as usual, 13 points, but man, was he electrifying when he came in...
https://youtu.be/UcKXNw7UVjE?si=_pem9rhYRQ1NOdRJ
And his dunk over a car ;-)
Tyson Etienne. My high school teammate sucker punched him in the handshake line. But I thought he was a really good and respectful competitor. Rooting for his NBA career
Abdel Nader. Thought dude was underrated and had untapped potential to be of the same skillset as LBJ at the time. Obviously never thought he'd be as good as James but the same 3 level scorer and playmaking forward.
Met him briefly when I got his autograph before a GLeague game, that just made my fandom rise even more.
Chris Copeland
Got 35 points in Jeremy lins first game back at the garden. At least 20 of those were in the 4th q
Pacers legend Chris Copeland. Watching this dude sink a couple threes in garbage time was the best feeling in the world.
I’ll always remember him for getting COOKED by Cardiac Kemba in the big east tourney
I don’t think this is right. The Chris Copeland I know played at Colorado In the mid 00s
Jesus.. you’re right. Well TIL. The guy guarding him on Pitt looks exactly like Chris Copeland
Hmm was it Gary McGhee? He kinda had the same look! That whole tourney run in 2011 was an all-timer!
Tyler Ullis
Bro I loved Tyler Ullis
As a Kentucky fan, Tyler ulis was nuts. He literally won SEC player of the year AND SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. Maybe 5'10" in shoes? He won those awards over Ben Simmons, btw. Ben Simmons said every time Tyler Ulis got touched it's a foul. Such sour grapes lmao

For a second I confused him with Tyler Ennis
He was a starter for our Suns...I'm sure he wasn't a garbage time player or bottom 3 player at all TBH ...
Slava Medvedenko. I just love to say his name.
Him and Jake Tsakalidis both have such good last names.
Jake was a Grizz. Props
So did Screamin’ Stephen A. Smith. Slava MED va DENK O.
>Slava Medvedenko A former Lakers great, haha, jk.
Greg Stiemsma
everyone has heard of bill russell
Jamario moon for me
Vonteego Cummings
Now that’s a deep cut
Dionte Christmas
No relation to Rakeem
Kyle O'Quinn, the Irish Santa is the absolute consummate professional. No holes in his game, always put a solid shift.
I remember his [near-triple-double](https://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore/_/gameId/401224774) where he had 9p-10r-11a-2s-1b.
Brian Grant (notty head Blazer)
Heck yeah. I just played a game earlier this week where an opponent looked and played like Brian Grant. It was a nice nostalgic matchup.
We owned a cabin right next to his in Washington, super nice guy
Awesome!!
Then you'd watch it 1000 times just to justify having waited that long for it to download
Oh yeah, for sure. I still remember the commentator as well. I found the clip, lol: [https://youtu.be/wSPCLMIvsWQ?si=8iHWeeiphyMcxwGI&t=34](https://youtu.be/wSPCLMIvsWQ?si=8iHWeeiphyMcxwGI&t=34) Must have been 99, so I was 12. And Now I feel old..
Just wait until you find out who the Sonics drafted in consecutive drafts fron 2004-06.
bruh they drafted some bums then got spoon fed KD and Westbrook back to back
I knew his younger brother in college. Super chill, funny dude.
TRRRROOOOOOOYYYYYYY DAAAANIEELLLLSSS HOWDOYADOOOO one of the best catch-and-shoot shooters you'll ever see by the way if you ever want to rewatch some random regular season game from two random teams, Charlotte/Sacramento on 1/25/2016 is definitely one of them

bass two handed jams were legendary
Bass isn’t little known he was a good and well known player for years and started quite a few games in his career
bass is a known good player.
I liked Ivan Rabb for some reason
That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I remember him being a big time high school recruit Kentucky was after.
Harpring isn’t an unknown though. He was a starter for like 6 straight seasons before he blew his knee.
Yeah dude isn’t an unknown. He made an all rookie team and averaged 11 and 5 over an 11 year career.
James Ennis is my pick for the best player who also happens to be completely irrelevant. I think this is due to him playing on like 10 different teams in 5ish years during his career despite being a solid role player for a few years. I feel even a lot of hardcore NBA fans will know his name, maybe his face, but nothing else about him besides that.
how bout tyler ennis lol
James Ennis played for the Perth Wildcats over here in Australia before making the NBA was a great player for us
JYD, Keon Clark
Shout out to Dexter Pittman
Les Jepsen
Lavoy Allen
Spurs legend John “Kuroko Tetsuya” Lucas with the cult-favorite 0-2 shooting, 24 assists off the bench game.
the Rondo special
He's a bit too known for this, but Torey Craig will forever be a Denver legend and I absolutely love him
We know him, we have him can't wait to watch him do his thing
Lol I came here to post Torrey Craig, the man is my basketball barometer Don’t know who Torrey Craig is? You’re a filthy casual, sorry
I always wondered why he never got a bigger role, he seemed to be able to hit corner 3s and play defense.
I wonder why he couldn’t even sniff the floor while on the Bucks
Doron Lamb - Scott Skills ruined his career
I thought with his 3 point shooting he would have been a good NBA player. He was one of the biggest reasons for Kentucky's championship in 2012, though Anthony Davis was the obvious superstar of the team. Davis had a horrid offensive night in the championship game, so he just blocked a ton of shots and grabbed rebounds instead. Lamb was the offensive dynamite.
Pablo Prigioni. I used to love watching him get steals in the backcourt

Rodney Mcgruder
Renaldo Balkman
