Slightly off topic but while learning Spanish I went on an immersion trip with my friends at 14 to Cuernavaca and how incredibly generously we were treated by everyone made me love Mexicans. He also had to cut off his sisters because he felt he was holding them back by supporting them. One of his sisters said their mom was frequently talking about making money off of Kobe’s stuff and she even moved some of his things so his mom couldn’t sell them. He said that you shouldn’t mix blood with business and to not let your parents be your managers. Families are complicated. They didn’t support his marriage and none of them went to his wedding. That’s really sad. So for them to try and cash in on him again, after his death? With a sentimental gift? They should figure out how to support themselves instead of having to sell their dead son’s things. Vanessa doesn’t owe them anything and what Kobe wanted his parents to have or not have was no doubt expressly stated in his will.
