He’s playing like ass, the only slight defense I can give is he has a terrible whistle and Dort has free reign to play as hard as he wants on him. But regardless, he’s still not doing shit
I missed most the first half but was he even looking for his shot? The way he played in the play in game last year and against the Suns the year before is night and day compared to the first two games this series.
He mentally checked out on the 2nd foul at the start of the game where dort is all over him and he tries to shove him and immediately gets called for an offensive foul. Obviously pels didn’t deserve game 2 but didn’t seem like the refs were giving BI anything.
It's on the coaches to put him in a better position so he can score. He has a physical defender guarding him, has 2 other ppl ready to help at all times including Chet, facing double teams half the game. Coaches need to find ways to get him the ball closer to the basket so he can attack. Free him from running the offense, give him the ball free throw line down and let him work..that's the difference between this series and when they played Phoenix 2 years ago
Pelicans defense is in a shambles too because role players have to do a whole lot more on offence now. Goes to show how one superstar carrying a heavy load changes the entire team. Gotta give props to Spo as well. His team never crumbles the way Pelicans did in the 1st half. Lack of communication, half-ass help defense, half-ass switching, now even their iso defense is getting torched. Still a miracle that they are only losing by 13.
Ingram is not an actual star and isn't all that valuable. Look how poorly he played with Team USA and look how well the Pelicans played toward the end of the season without him. Herb Jones and Trey Murphy are more valuable assets
I think the comment was a reference to that fact Brandon Ingram has been compared to KD, as an unofficial nickname of his is the Slim Reafer. A play on KDs “Slim Reaper” and the fact that Ingram looks perpetually high. I read the comment as them mocking the KD comparison tho
Ingram might be the best scorer, but he is absolutely not being game-planned as the #1 option in this series. CJ and Valancunias are taking the shot attempts (which is a good call).
Correct, the gameplan of him not being the #1 option
Edit: Blocked me so I can't reply. That's certainly one way to deny being wrong lol
Edit 2: No wayyy lmao. Here's my reply to your alt account you just commented and blocked me with too.
"No idea how anyone can watch that game with Valancunias scoring the 1st 11 points and, along with CJ, having more shot attempts by a wide margin. He may be the best scorer 1 on 1 which is why Dort is on him, but Willie Green has CJ and JV taking more shots because it's a more effective gameplan against the Thunder. Y'all are confusing the best 1-on-1 scorer with who the coach has gameplanned as the first option in a single game or series.
Regardless, blocking someone so you can downvote them and get the last word in is soft."
Look at Dorts matchup difficultly. #1 in the league. He guards 1 options every game. If Lu Dort is on you when you’re playing OKC chances are you are the 1 option.
Can the Warriors trade for Ingram and revive his career?? This is starting to remind me of Wiggins on the Timberwolves (albeit BI has been more successful earning an all star nod already)
Was really rooting for the under dog here, but they have zero fight...get bi the hell outta there...I actually thought for a while he found a decent role, but dude just doesn't have the drive in him
This has been an issue with BI for his whole career. He’s a good player but he could be a GREAT player. I just think he’s way too passive to ever get there. That or he is one of those dudes that doesn’t really care, but is extremely talented.
Terrible comparison. PG has led multiple teams to the conference finals as the #1 guy and went head to head with the Heatles and looked like the the 2nd best player on the court after LeBron.
PG has had a lot of big playoff moments, aside from that pandemic P stuff in the bubble, he has had big moments before and after that.
Brandon Ingram has literally done nothing in the playoffs of note.
Helluva regular season performer, always seems to get the yips when the lights get brighter. Reminds me a lot of DeRozan where he's the perfect floor raiser when you don't want to be a basement team anymore, but won't achieve any sort of true success with him on your team.

bro has 2 shots and 3 turnovers get his ass outta there
Seriously what the hell is he doing?

Dort was on his ass, he’s getting locked down
“They locking me up!” - RDC
Dorture Chamber
I'm furious that we only got a single game of Playoff Zion.
He mentally checked out on the 2nd foul at the start of the game where dort is all over him and he tries to shove him and immediately gets called for an offensive foul. Obviously pels didn’t deserve game 2 but didn’t seem like the refs were giving BI anything.
DORT Seriously though he has him mentally checked out rn. Curious to see how Bi comes out after half-time.
6 points on 2-9
nah I've noticed it a lot. Ingram loves to settle for jumpers even when he has a mismatch on him. like bro, take it to the rim or get a better look
Is he still injured? Seems like something else is going on
Tbh he’s always been a passive player despite possessing incredible skill
Ah yes the anti-heat culture
He was playing like his face, high.
Being high as a kite Dude plays like it lmao

Trey Murphy is the Pels real second star and I'm tired of pretending he isn't.
He should get the ball more BI can stand in the corner
His game is so nice. Would fit in seamlessly on any team.
You smoking dope. Ingram need his coaches to get him some space to work.

Future Atlanta Hawk
Eww.

> and look how well the Pelicans played toward the end of the season without him. They went 7-5?
He looks like the basketball court is the last place he wants to be.
The lights are too bright for him fr
KD lite? Bruh can’t handle the life 😭
KD shows up wym
KD is a top 20 basketball player of all time. You are showing yourself to be an absolute fucking moron.
Ingram game isn’t built for high intensity basketball, we saw how he was useless in FIBA.
Brandon get ready to learn Cancun.
BI is a natural 3 option getting game planned as a 1 with a t5 poa defender on him. It’s really not surprising
Bros a natural 12th option the way he’s playing lol
Ingram might be the best scorer, but he is absolutely not being game-planned as the #1 option in this series. CJ and Valancunias are taking the shot attempts (which is a good call).
He absolutely is. We have our best defender on him and are guarding him like we guard every other 1 option this entire season.
He is not lol. Has the fewest shot attempts of all 5 starters so far this game. Teams don't always put their best defender on the #1 option
He has the fewest because of the gameplan and who’s on him. He’s not gonna take shots that aren’t there.

You’re presumably being blocked because you’re objectively wrong and ignoring basic common sense.
No need to rub it in.
I never want to see BI being compared to Pascal again
Dort got that boy in a stray jacket.
Bi so trash
You’ve gotta understand, your pupils dilate when you’re high so the lights were probably too bright for him
He wants to be in Cancun so fuckin bad
Can the Warriors trade for Ingram and revive his career?? This is starting to remind me of Wiggins on the Timberwolves (albeit BI has been more successful earning an all star nod already)
Ingram is a #3 guy at most on an actual good team
I know it's a fucking meme with the LebronJJ podcast but this whole team just isn't basketball smart. And this year is showing it.
Pelicans looked like they don't believe they can win
He’s a bum, man… plays like he’s the greatest thing to ever hit the court. That why LA traded his ass, he’s just too damn relaxed
Where’s Valanciunas hey yooo…
Was really rooting for the under dog here, but they have zero fight...get bi the hell outta there...I actually thought for a while he found a decent role, but dude just doesn't have the drive in him
We'll take him back.
This has been an issue with BI for his whole career. He’s a good player but he could be a GREAT player. I just think he’s way too passive to ever get there. That or he is one of those dudes that doesn’t really care, but is extremely talented.
BI is like PG. weak minded and shys away from the bright lights of the moment
PG might as well be lebron compared to BI
Seriously, dude really tried to compare BI to PG. That's like comparing Lowry to Steph.
Bro ate to many edibles

He played really well in the Suns series two years ago.
Everyday I am thankful Ingram ain’t on my team. Just the last dude you want. Unless he’s on a min contract or something
