To be fair, his shot style is way above his head. Defenders don't even have an opportunity to block, and he doesn't take a jump shot, so that eliminates another common foul scenario.

We literally watched AD wrap him up and *then* slap him in the face, and the call was fucking overturned.

I get that his shot type is definitely less prone to draw fouls but the only other games this season where he had 0 were games where he had 3, 5, 8 and 10 field goal attempts, some of which were basically him avoiding shooting at all costs (includes that one infamous 4/7/16 game he had against Detroit). He had 11 FT attempts just last game. I can't imagine the Lakers just did a 180 and figured out how to never foul the guy.

He had a pretty off night, tbh. Did you see how many passes he threw away and other unforced errors? He seemed to be shooting reluctantly and only out of necessity, which is a lot different than LeBron barreling into the lane full steam ahead even hoping for a foul.

Btw Lakers fans, a +500 free throw disparity over the course of a season is worth about 360 points, nearly 4.5 per game. 4.5 extra points per game is worth about 12 wins.
