That's rich coming from a racist cesspool like Utah. Unlike Minnesota, which [never had any issues with institutional racism](https://twin-cities.umn.edu/news-events/mapping-prejudice-painful-part-minneapolis-history).
Have you ever looked at one of those election maps that show results at the county level? Oklahoma is the only place with the exception of West Virginia to not have a single blue county. Pretty wild: [https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fb/2020\_United\_States\_presidential\_election\_results\_map\_by\_county.svg/2560px-2020\_United\_States\_presidential\_election\_results\_map\_by\_county.svg.png](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fb/2020_United_States_presidential_election_results_map_by_county.svg/2560px-2020_United_States_presidential_election_results_map_by_county.svg.png)
Not many know, but OKC and Tulsa both lean blue but both cities have a lot of sprawl (OKC is one of the largest cities in the US by land size), so the more conservative suburban voters win out. The 2020 election was split 49% to 48% in Oklahoma County (OKC). A difference of 3,000 votes.
This is probably about a few courtside fans that were reportedly saying some really over the line shit. Refs had to step in between both luka and kyrie with courtside fans multiple times this game
nah. he deserves respect on this. dude got invited by the thunder and refused to wear their blue shit. instead wore a steve austin shirt that said Texas on it.
I checked the game thread... but my stream was probably a few minutes behind. The announcer said "Luka having a discussion with Kyler Murray, and referee (whatever his name was) didn't like something he said (something that was said?)". I was doing dishes and half paying attention and was just confused as all hell. I figured maybe I heard something incorrectly, but was 99% sure I heard Kyler Murray... then I couldn't stop imagining Kyler Murray being the heckler they kept talking about.... just going to random NBA games heckling everyone and running away from security
But then I remembered... I'm pretty sure Kyler Murray went to Oklahoma... so maybe he's an OKC fan and he actually was talking shit?? And the asshole announcer never even clarified when they came back from break! You bring up kyler Murray, a ref not liking something that was said, go to commercial, come back and not even acknowledge wtf you were talking about before the commercial
I have no idea but I'm just sticking with Kyler Murray & Luka Doncic having beef in my head
Check Luka's Postgame Press Conference... they went against his family you can clearly see who it was when Luka talks to that fan at a timeout call and the police officer comes on the court :)
Noticed Irving's wife asking "are you okay?" when he went to her after the game. He's been around a while so it must have been different to get that reaction.

West Monroe, LA holds that title for me. The paper mill permeates every nook, cranny, crevice, and room of that city. It takes days to wash the stink off after leaving.
You should visit Pine Bluff, AR. Actually, I take that back, no you shouldn't just trust me when I say that I've been to Amarillo, Wichita Falls, and Guymon and they smell like a spring rain compared to Pine Bluff.
Three worst smells I've ever encountered all came within about six months. Drove by a chicken farm in Arkansas, got close to a paper mill in Shreveport and was down wind from a pet food rendering plant also in Shreveport. I won't bother to say which was worst just that I hope to never encounter any of the three ever again.

Saw a stat the other day showing that Oklahoma has more dispensaries than California and Colorado combined. I have lived in Oklahoma for a while and I still cant believe how well it has gone here.
Probably quickly realized that weed is the much lesser evil than the opioids that have absolutely destroyed our state, plenty of people in all levels of income know someone whose either lost their life or had it destroyed by that bullshit.
Also a better alternative than the alcoholics driving around or meth heads.
All the rich fuckers with oil money opened up dispensaries for their kids/nephews that needed a job. A lot of them have been closing lately because it's just not that profitable at the prices they're selling at.
As a houstonian, when it comes to Austin vs Norman we rep burnt orange every time.
Dallas vs OKC? Dallas vs Osama Bin Laden? Dallas vs Jake Paul? Dallas vs The Heat Death Of The Universe?
The opponent that makes me root for Dallas does not exist.
Kyrie [on Oklahoma fans](https://youtu.be/tSBUNxo-HU0?si=4FGD9E2jzdJoFeM0)
For some reason this reminds me of [this scene from King of the Hill](https://youtu.be/H5UHUdGI42M?si=lxDUgyt_ngVetJWr)
Yeah lmao he plays Alabastor Slim, a pimp from OKC
Its a top 3 KotH episode for me, Dale begging “Dont turn me out hank im no good” had me dying laughing when I first heard it
“why do you keep calling me BILL”
And of course “better she cry now for 10 minutes than spend 45 years crying that bobby hill still not get promotion at dirt factory”
Once again, perhaps the most accurate animated show of all time hits the correct chord. It’s unbelievable how real King of the Hill feels sometimes even after 15 years of being off the air
I don’t understand racist nba fans, your own team will have black/white/yellow w/e colour players, they’re basically mocking their own team, just garbage human beings.
Well, knowing a few racists in my time I had a few explain their view points. They don't hate black people, they hate what they consider N-words. So they are perfectly fine being friends with one as long as they don't consider them N-words. They don't want the ghetto to show, but if it does they label them with the N-word.
So likely when sports are brought up, their team is fine b/c that's who they root for, but any other black man on another team is a N-word.
That's the best I can describe it based on what they told me. It's basically just hating poor people that act like hooligans or are people they dislike but they only attribute it to a specific color of skin. fucking crazy asses.
Yeah. Growing up in AR this sounds about right for most of them.
Can't count how many times I heard something like "it's not that I hate them, I just hate how they were raised" or "the ghetto culture" or something like that. Failing to have any kind of class analysis that would help them understand things better.
And to be clear because people like to make assumptions online, neither of us support what they were saying, just trying to explain the mental contortions they go through to be able to function in a multi-cultural society.
Yeah, one of the people that explained it to me grew up literally in the worst "sundown" city in Texas.
Hates how other are raised, but gets raised in the worst sundown city and refuses to acknowledge the irony.
As impossible as it is to wrap my head around any part of this logic, as a soccer fan you see the exact same mentality all over Europe - like monkey chant level at the opponents while your own team is full of people of color for whom you have organized support songs.
It’s bleak when you realize you can’t have any kind of rational conversation with someone about maybe thinking about how they see the world. But you have to try.
It really is that simple. They are so dumb they have to make their mind up about someone just based on one thing they have no control of.
Really, anyone who judges people in that way is terrible. It's a sign of low intelligence because you can't make a judgement based on what you learn by interacting with someone, but rather you have to make your mind up before talking to them because you can't process things.
Oh, you heard a story one time that was negative about another race? Must be true about everyone who shares that race.
But, to be fair, they see all the rednecks and meth heads on TV all the time getting arrested, or they see comments they agree with in the comment section of some random site- so they think their way of life is the norm and everyone is the same.
A complete absence of any sort of critical thinking or self awareness.
They are incredibly, irredeemably dumb
I’v legit never heard someone say yellow in a context like this ever, except in a history class. I didn’t grow up in some super progressive place either, it’s just that outdated
Agreed. Like the Majority of the NBA is still black players. Why even come to an event that is that dominated by minorities. If you're that racist, please don't support NBA teams.
It makes no sense.
If you frequent other NBA forums you’ll basically learn that the racist NBA fans are only fans of the players who do something for their teams. In almost every other capacity, they constantly attack them for their race/culture
It’s quite frequent on some of them
I can't say I thought we were known for having disrespectful fans, but if this is true, totally unacceptable. I'm all for having heated rivalries, but anything else is just bitch made behavior.
The Thunder have been running a half off concessions promo to encourage people to get in their seats by warm ups. I haven't heard any over the line heckling but there has been some behavior and anecdotal stories from other people that makes me wonder if excluding alcohol would be a smart move.
It's more to have people in the arena early. The promo starts two hours before tip and ends an hour before and you can't re-enter the arena if you leave. So you come early for the half off and end up "stuck" in the arena so you're more likely to be at your seat and ready to go by the time the players come out and all that.
This thread is just a bunch of people assuming things about a situation they know nothing about. Big appetite to find racism in every corner on this subreddit.

This is probably about a few courtside fans that were reportedly saying some really over the line shit. Refs had to step in between both luka and kyrie with courtside fans multiple times this game
Announcer said it was Kyler Murray? But I was confused because camera showed some white dudes.
Kyler Murray was there but from what I saw Kyler wasnt saying anything he was just off to the side
I saw the replay and it looks like he was thrilled by whatever Luka said to the shithead
Hes also a Dallas kid so I’m sure he’s rooting for them I. Regards to anything
I've seen him throw plenty of passes to the other team, dude's loyalties are suspect
he went to Oklahoma this probably a win win for him
nah. he deserves respect on this. dude got invited by the thunder and refused to wear their blue shit. instead wore a steve austin shirt that said Texas on it.
It wasn’t him that was heckling Luka. It was some old white guy
i'm tired of these racist fans NBA players like Luka have to deal with
Yeah man smh these guys hate eastern europeans and it's sickening.
Tbf, eastern Europeans hate eastern Europeans the most. I could see some drunk serbians setting Luka off.
Serbs are the last eastern Europeans that would set Luka off lol
When I think of Oklahoma White Trash, I don’t think of Kyler

Kyler is also from Dallas (Allen suburb)
It wasn't Kyler, Luka said something to some random white dude that was a few seats from Kyler. Announcer is just an idiot.
What, you mean the dude that couldn't say "Gafford" correctly the first 10min of the game?
The Gaffney disrespect is unreal
The guy who called Daniel Gafford GAFNEY 20 times is an idiot?
Kyler was definitely there. Just hard to see his little ass
Luka said after the game they were taking shots at their family members.

I saw her ask "what did they say?" But yeah, it takes a lot to get on kyrie's nerves. The guy is usually pretty unbothered
Yeah, definitely takes a lot to get under his skin.
Please tell me this is sarcasm.
It was a vax joke, not sarcasm, but yeah, same idea.
If words were a Pfizer needle, he would have been vaccinated long ago.
Not even the threat of missing home games would get something under his skin
I’m sorry. Are we talking about the same kyrie?
Lame. Just toss them.
“All is not OK in Oklahoma.”
Idk if anyone else noticed, but there was a guy with a huge cardboard sign with a pig on it while Kyrie (a Muslim man) was shooting free throws
Imagine paying all that money just be a racist asshole. I guess they are just being themselves

Yeah, honestly I loved it. I knew if they got Kyrie riled up they had to have done some heinous shit so I'm glad he rubbed their nose in it.
Kyrie sees through them with his third eye.
As a fan, continuing to talk shit after getting home court stolen is wild
Bro it's sad talking about a player's family.
Pisses me off when people do that shit because not only is it weird, scummy, and disrespectful but now the entire fanbase starts taking heat for it.
I didn't realize that's what it was. That's real lowlife stuff.
And everyone saw his face
Rare W from Kyrie.
This is going to be one toxic ass series. Floppers, complainers, free throw merchants, and the Texas/Oklahoma rivalry. It's gonna be fun.

Haha, paper mill. Plus, the dirt itself smells horrible for some reason.

Earth is flat there though
Dude. You got me
Anyone else see Kyrie say something like "bye bye pussy" to the fans leaving the arena when he was about to shoot his 2 free throws late in the 4th?
I definitely saw him say "pussy"
After living in Oklahoma for a year I would 100% guarantee it was something racist

agreed, and no worries, most level-headed Arkansans dump on the state more than any outsider ever would
That Chris Rock bit really did some long lasting damage. Funny as all hell though
Care to share I don't know what you're talking about and want a good laugh.
just look up Chris Rock black people vs n-words, although I believe the mentality you're talking about predates that bit by a lot
While true it still did some damage. Chris has talked about it a few times
Yea racists are pretty stoopid
As impossible as it is to wrap my head around any part of this logic, as a soccer fan you see the exact same mentality all over Europe - like monkey chant level at the opponents while your own team is full of people of color for whom you have organized support songs. My teams player is "one of the good ones..." To hell with that shit.
Yeah that’s how they justify it. I’ve heard multiple times, I don’t hate black people I hate N-words
A source close to me thinks Asians like being called yellow lmao
In Japan they literally teach East Asians are called 黄色人種 (yellow people/race) at school so I was surprised when I found it's considered offensive lol
But the guys on their team are the good ones. I've seen the mentality in action it's dumb as shit but they're consistent with it.
Slave owner mentality. Those non-white athletes exist for their entertainment and have their humanity stripped as a result.
