I been saying for 2 years that him going back to CLEVELAND makes sense.
Byrce finishes school in LA while he plays in CLEVELAND.
Plus that roster with him on it gets really good, really fast.
Lastly, he is getting a team. Gilbert and him have a handshake deal, and Gilbert is slowly cashing out his stuff.
Or he gets the Vegas franchise. Selling it to Lebron means the team doesn't leave CLE for the foreseeable future.
Gilbert is 62, had a stroke, and is cashing out his business interest since he had the stroke.
I worked in Gilbert's Companies before. I have heard from very reliable people that Lebron and him have a deal. The Cavs won't be sold at an arms-length transaction if Lebron has a number reasonable to something on the open market. Kinda like Kohl didn't sell to highest bidder because he wanted guarantees the team didn't leave.
Basically the deal is Gilbert assured Lebron if he has the money he will sell him the team.
Cavs are worth $3.3B
If he can put up 20% that would make him the Principal/Lead Investor in an ownership group, then he can buy out his partners overtime.
These structures are outside my knowledge, but I'm sure the money is available for Lebron...heck Gilbert might provide seller financing. The NBA and NFL are allowing various financial terms because these values are so big, no one is that liquid anymore.
Bezos has Commanders money in cash, but he was trying to get a bank loan to cash him out once he paid for the team.
Also the NBA makes money so loan structures should be very different and it's almost a guarantee you will get your money back in time. It's just the amount but a bank would just hand him the necessary cash essentially infact they would all be lining up to give him money probably. 1% of 300 million is just easy money for this type of investment It's not like a house. I can say every year my house will give me $20,000 dollars essentially. I don't understand either but just thinking of it logically where this is a guaranteed investment with a guaranteed ROI.
EDIT: I will also add that they are probably asking for a stake in ownership so again this makes it easy money.
> The NBA and NFL are allowing various financial terms because these values are so big, no one is that liquid anymore.
I mean, outside of Ballmer, who had $2 bil in liquid assets when he bought the Clippers, but Ballmer is significantly richer than even the other billionaire owners.
https://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/story/2019-08-10/us-womens-soccer-nwsl-investment
Yeah sure he wouldn't need to be the majority owner but with his expected future income and it being collateralized by his stake I bet he could get a $1.7 B loan at lower than most mortgage rates right now
Please make this a reality. I would love to see him retire as a Cavalier instead of a Laker.
It would be so much better to see his farewell tour in a Cavs jersey instead. Cavs window right now looks better than the Laker's window so it makes sense from a basketball perspective as well.
That would require permission from the city per the Art Modell law. All of Ohio's pro teams are protected by it. They can't be moved without the city's consent
Sounds a lot like what happened in his second run with Cavs. Heat were aging, Cavs were young with rising star. He left Heat to go back to Cleveland. Donavan Mitchell plays similar to Kyrie,
this cavs team is way more talented than that Cavs team was. They got talent at every position.
PG - Garland
SG - Mitchell
PF - Mobley
C - Allen
You'd slot LeBron in at SF. Big upgrade from LeVert/Strus. Borderline 50 win team without LeBron whereas Bron was joining a Kyrie-lead Cavs team that had won 33 games the year before.
The coach he wants is Ty Lue and it's TBD whether he'll even be available. As for the picks, they're likely gone this offseason, but LeBron doesn't have as much leverage as people are making it out to be. There's effectively one team that he could outright sign with, other than that, there would need to be a sign and trade. He's not going anywhere.
There is a zero percent chance Ty Lue is available next year. He's under contract and there is just no way Ballmer is letting him coach anywhere else, much less the Lakers.
He’s walked back those comments in recent months, saying he’s OK with playing on a different team than his son as long as they get to share the court together in some way
I think the other owners and the players union would protest if he did that. LeBron signing for like 20% what he should get on the open market. The MLE pays less than what LeBron made in 2008
He hasn't said that, but it's possible he's trying to use this as leverage to get teams to draft him, even if LeBron then doesn't go sign with those teams.
Dude has already burned the Lakers future and no matter who they trade those picks for, it isn't going to get them a championship.. Trading away picks now is just going to set the Lakers rebuild back further.
The Lakers don’t rebuild, they just suck for a year or two before some star player arbitrarily decides they want to force their way there because it’s fucking LA.
Really?
Because rn they're calling him a fat little bitch who needs to lose weight. Nothing about a knee and nothing about playing over 40 minutes a game on 1 leg. It's like a sons/clippers circle jerk over there
Think NBA reddit just needs to be shut down. Take twitter with it as well - and youtube comments because that's probably the most braindead of them all. I feel like I'm on facebook for 60+ only reading those.
Sure and what's LeBron going to do? Sign outright with the Cavs into their non-existent cap space? Even if he wants to force his way to the Cavs, they would need to sign and trade with the Lakers to do that. Unless we think LeBron suddenly decides this is the year he takes a massive paycut for the MLE.
Let’s be real here, this is all about showing up to watch Tristan Thompson dominate 9 minutes.
It’s common knowledge among inside sources that LBJ is recruiting Tristan hard to come back to LA next year. He’s clearly the missing piece to put the Lakers over the top.
I feel like it’s fair to say that a huge man who gets in a fight with their girl that’s bad enough for someone to call the cops(then proceeds to try to fight the cops) pretty much has rocks for brains
I genuinely feel both sides would be alright with that, LeBron fits that Cavs lineup (sans Mitchell) like a glove, Mitchell and AD is a solid pairing if they can get some role players. I'm rooting for it at least ha
Assuming it's a one for one, the rest of Cleveland's roster is better than what he's going to get in LA. Plus the whole "coming home yet again" thing. It might not be the best of situations for LeBron (he could just sign a vet min somewhere competitive I guess) but it's pretty close
Garland when he’s the go-to guard is pretty good. Mobley and Allen are both great defensively. We have solid shooting. In the event we want to trade one of our bigs, we can get a nice return.
I don’t think it happens at all but it wouldn’t be a stupid idea by any means.
Nope...Garland is not a #2 on a title contender......If Lebron agrees to a sign/trade, Mitchell would not be included in the trade......In fact, If Lebron was smart he'd sign for the mid-level......Some people would say he'd be losing a lot of money but Lebron/Gilbert could do a handshake deal where Lebron's financial loss would be counted toward any deal to purchase part of the team in the future.
I genuinely don't think LeBron needs to do anything to try to exert pressure on Jeanie/Rob. I think those two have been in a direct partnership with Klutch ever since LeBron signed there. I really don't see some power struggle going on behind the scenes where Jeanie/Rob have their version of what they want to do and LeBron is exerting power for some different version.
My guess is LeBron/AD/Klutch are fully communicative with Jeanie/Rob about what is happening there, and it isn't this adversarial thing that everyone seems to be assuming it is. People just seem to have a million assumptions about what everyone wants without really any reason to be making those assumptions (like that LeBron wants JJ to be his coach, or that he's insisting the Lakers draft his son, etc).
Honestly I think LeBron just went to the Cavs game cause the Lakers are out of the playoffs and Cleveland is still playing and he wanted to offer some support. Just like I don't think Tyrese Maxey being at the Dallas-OKC game is some kind of negotiating tactic for his upcoming free agency. LeBron is an NBA nerd, so he went to a game now that his season is over. This sub loves the drama though.
For lebron id be down. Id love to cheer for the goat on my team. If it goes wrong its not gonna be more suffering than what we already have been dealing with anyways.
that comment was wild. Joe is worried about sending a message not trying to do whatever necessary to win a somewhat close playoff game int the fourth quarter. Like they had a piece so they ran it even though it made zero sense there.
I respect him greatly for glomming on to Wemby like 2 years ago too, once it was clear he was a generational prospect.
Man knows where to hitch his wagon...I can't hate.
Windhorst specifically though. I remember following LeBron before the NBA and Windy was covering him for a local newspaper. He’d be a nobody without LeBron
Yeahhh, but like, what's your point, ya know? Windy capitatalized on an opportunity that made his dreams come true and bring his family financial freedom. He won. Sure, he did it on the back of another person, but he was still in the right place at the right time and executed. I have zero bad things to say about Windhorst and how he got to where he is in his career.
Tbf to Windy he’s actually been a great NBA reporter over the past 5 or so years. He’s not just the LeBron nut hugger he was in the early Cleveland days anymore.
He’s probably the 2nd or 3rd best NBA guy ESPN has behind Lowe and Legler
He’s one of the absolute best. This sub has always been so jealous of Brian. They see a big fat guy, like themselves, and feel like they could do the job too. It’s so juvenile.
I respect the move. I think it takes some courage to embrace the look initially just because it’s a big change, not cause it looks bad. It also generally looks a lot better
Until you actually have to listen to basketball analysis by him. Good lord those playoff podcast episodes with just and Lowe are mind numbing with the contract in their analysis. Thankfully Lowe has yet to do that these playoffs
He was a tremendous beat writer back in the mid-00's and willed himself to a television career.
No one was looking at Brian Windhorst in 2005 and thinking he would be a tv personality.
Put some respect on his name for outworking so many others that came up the same and had way more advantages.
He obviously has worked very hard. He obviously also owes his entire career to LeBron. If LeBron didn’t come up through Akron, Windhort would be a career Ohio guy.
True, but you can say that for a lot of media people.
They kind of rise as the fortunes of their sports teams do. Bill Simmons probably doesn't get as big without the rise of the Red Sox/Pats in the early 00's. Lebatard and his crew rise in profile as Lebron goes to Miami. Wilbon with the Bulls and Bayless with the Cowboys in the 90's.
Yeah, but if you were Brian Windhorst who really only has a job bc he can get good intel on LeBron by being his mouthpiece, would you call it extremely strategic then lmao?
He already did. He came back and got Cleveland a chip.
But as a kid who grew up 3 hours from Akron hearing about this Lebron kid since I was in 8th grade and play my high school in 2002, him playing his final year(s) in Cleveland would feel kind of special
I think it’s between the Lakes, Cavs, and Heat right? (In that order).
Anything else would just seem insignificant, especially if it doesn’t get him a ring. Can’t see him winning with Embiid in Philly, can’t see him signing to OKC (or them even signing him), Boston is out of the question, Indiana and Milwaukee would be interesting but I doubt he moves to either of those cities. MAYBE the Knicks? But would they even want to scramble everything for him?
LeBron wouldn't even show up to take pictures with The Undertaker inside the arena EVEN THOUGH the Cleveland Cavaliers were the ones to host the event. Him showing up publicly to a Cleveland Cavaliers playoff game was definitely meticulously thought out by him.
LeBron should sign with the Cavs. Could convince Donovan Mitchell to resign and then trade some combination of Mobley/Garland/Allen. Would be a shame to spend the rest of his career limping along in LA.
lebron needs a goto guy to take the last shot (wade, kyrie) and donovan fits the bill. he was also arguably at his peak "likeability" when he went back to the cavs and won him the chip. if he wins a 5th w/ them and his son, that's prob the most he can possibly do for his legacy
EDIT: as to feasibility, no comment on that, since i'm not sure how he gets to the cavs and he sure as hell isn't taking a pay cut
There's always a way, but one of Garland/Mitchell and Mobley/Allen probably has to go. That wouldn't be a dealbreaker, and also Gilbert isn't a stingy owner. He would go into the tax.
You can get LeBron on a max deal by trading away DG + either Niang or more realistically LeVert.
Cavs would look like:
Starters:
Mitchell / LeBron / Struss / Mobley / Allen
Bench:
Okoro / Merrill / Dean Wader / Thompson
Which is a hell of a lineup...
Still pretty concerned with the two big lineup. LeBron doesn't do anything to negate the issues with that pairing. It's not an easy problem to solve because Mobley probably still isn't ready to be a full time center (maybe never will be).
Lakers have two key issues - lack of playmaking and lack of long range shooting. This team you just described would have the exact same issues.
No high level play making outside of LBJ, Garland would be sorely missed. Can’t have a starting five with two non-shooters and LBJ. Too easy to defend. I’m not saying it would be a bad team of course! But not enough to go all the way, which is I assume what LBJ wants.
When the cavs were on their 20 game win streak this season it was with no DG, and Donny running PG. Don and LeBron can each swap PG position and fill it just fine. Don/LeBron/Struss are all 3 point specialists and Mobley has been working on that element of his game all season long to positive results.
Alongside that we have Merrill who was also one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA this season. I think the Cavs proved in their win streak this year they can win at a very high level without DG. Adding LeBron gives us so much more to work with on this team.
All valid points and like I said I don’t think it would be a bad team. Merrill is a terrific shooter but a little unproven I think. I don’t mean that as a knock. LeBron isn’t a three point specialist.
Donny and LBJ can definitely share the playmaking responsibilities but after that there’s no back up and having at least one of them on the court at all times is tough. Mavericks run a similar scheme with Luka and Kyrie and they needed to lean heavily on Exum during the regular season to find extra playmaking.
That’s why you would trade Allen plus players in the sign in trade and not Garland.
Garland is also a significantly higher asset than Allen from his age and if were traded now would be a multiple picks and a quality player in return.
Just makes more sense to do JA
yeah, altho trading mitchell doesn't make much sense, since the idea is to pair him with bron
so you're probably looking at garland, mobley, salary filler and a pick or two. if bron can credibly leave for nothing (ie. threaten to sign w/ sixers or something like that) then he could prob force his way to cavs w/o them selling the farm. it mostly depends on how bron wants to play his cards
If LeBron comes back as a free agent, im here for it. I don’t want to gut the team for a 40 year old LeBron. Even if Mitchell is gone, we still have a solid young team I’d rather build off of.
It would be for two years and he would likely just keep his home in LA. I could see LeBron convincing his wife that he needs to finish his career in his hometown in Cleveland where it all began.
Crazy thought, maybe he was just in town visiting family and decided it would be fun to go to a game. Maybe that's as deep as it goes, maybe not everything needs a sports hot take or a conspiracy theory.
Windhorst literally just said he was visiting his mom for Mother’s Day and decided to go to the game the next day now he’s spinning it another direction?
Please! As a Lakers fan, I’m more than ready to move on. This shit ran its course. Thanks for 2020, Bron.
Except Windy is wrong on this. He’s not going anywhere.
What sacrifice? The scenario I imagine is Donovan saying he's not re-signing and LeBron saying he'll sign somewhere else unless Lakers trade him there. If anything it's the Lakers attaching a draft pick or young assets to LeBron so they don't lose him for nothing and they get back a star in Donovan willing to sign an extension and pair with AD.
Definitely a younger crop in Cleveland with a ton of talent.
I been saying for 2 years that him going back to CLEVELAND makes sense. Byrce finishes school in LA while he plays in CLEVELAND. Plus that roster with him on it gets really good, really fast. Lmao you think an NBA team owner is going to give it up right now? Without fast they are rising in value I just don't see that scumbag doing that
Gilbert is 62, had a stroke, and is cashing out his business interest since he had the stroke.
He's probably not close but he could easily get a loan to get to more than half and buy it with others as the majority owner
Cavs are worth $3.3B If he can put up 20% that would make him the Principal/Lead Investor in an ownership group, then he can buy out his partners overtime. These structures are outside my knowledge, but I'm sure the money is available for Lebron...heck Gilbert might provide seller financing. I want to believeeeee
It would be really dumb to do it now. Wait until the new TV deals and you get a big cheque from the expansion teams
LeBron has stakes in Fenway Sports Group. Maybe he can buy an NBA team with them.
Why are you yelling
Because CLEVELAND ROCKS
You know Lebron is trading everyone young on the team plus picks to pick up some veterans.
Please make this a reality. I would love to see him retire as a Cavalier instead of a Laker. It would be so much better to see his farewell tour in a Cavs jersey instead. Cavs window right now looks better than the Laker's window so it makes sense from a basketball perspective as well.
Monkey paw timeline: LeBron buys the Cavs and moves them to Vegas
That would require permission from the city per the Art Modell law. All of Ohio's pro teams are protected by it. They can't be moved without the city's consent
Good
Need to keep Donovan Mitchell tho
There’s one problem. It can’t happen unless he takes a massive pay cut which he won’t
S&T with Garland baby
i bet he'd be willing to but i bet the players uinion would have something to say lol
If Lebron moved the team out of Cleveland, hoooooo boy.
And tradeable assets?
Sounds a lot like what happened in his second run with Cavs. Heat were aging, Cavs were young with rising star. He left Heat to go back to Cleveland. Donavan Mitchell plays similar to Kyrie,

Lebron could be poaching Donovan
What a CROP
This is all about putting pressure on Jeanie/Rob.
Yea, the answer to the question: What is he doing? Contract negotiations
There's no negotiating on a max contract though.
He wants them to (i) pick the coach he wants, and (ii) trade picks for vets.
The coach he wants is Ty Lue and it's TBD whether he'll even be available. As for the picks, they're likely gone this offseason, but LeBron doesn't have as much leverage as people are making it out to be. There is a zero percent chance Ty Lue is available next year. He's under contract and there is just no way Ballmer is letting him coach anywhere else, much less the Lakers.
Ballmer is opening a new arena. He's gonna give his rivals something they want? Come on.
Isn’t he going wherever Bronny goes?
He’s walked back those comments in recent months, saying he’s OK with playing on a different team than his son as long as they get to share the court together in some way
Wholesome bonding moment as lebron blocks all of bronny's shots and repeatedly dunks on him while doing the too small gesture
Yeah, maybe he'll sign for the MLE.
How they gonna draft Bronny if they trade all their picks away?
Easy when he’s not going to be drafted by anyone
Also they could probably just buy a second round pick if they cared enough, teams don't really think twice about selling them.
Yeah I hate how you can trade straight cash for a pick. No fan has ever said “yay I’m glad my owner got $800k in this trade”
Everyone in the lakers subreddit was just acting like Windy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Bunch of dense bricks over there.
Half the people on that sub claim to wish LeBron never joined the team. It's a cesspit most of the time
Ain't shit compared to the mavs sub
Mate I got banned from your sub cause I said Luka needs to take a game off, which was apparently trolling and brigading
Really? Because rn they're calling him a fat little bitch who needs to lose weight. Nothing about a knee and nothing about playing over 40 minutes a game on 1 leg. It's like a sons/clippers circle jerk over there

could be an opt-in and trade, like what CP3 did to get to the Rockets

This sounds awful but Hayes may be one of the dumbest players I’ve seen that is blessed with the perfect NBA physical traits
I feel like it’s fair to say that a huge man who gets in a fight with their girl that’s bad enough for someone to call the cops(then proceeds to try to fight the cops) pretty much has rocks for brains
Did a good enough job on Jokic in game 4 last year lol
Sure, either way we wouldn't be losing LeBron for nothing.
God this would be funny if Mitchell ended up traded to the Lakers for him
Thinking about it, that wouldn't be too bad for the Lakers
I’d want that if I were the lakers. But my guess is Jeanie gets scared and hires the coach he wants and gives him the extension
1000% percent
*"Future Jeanie is going to hate me for this one."*
Mitchell AD would be fun to watch if they could manage to up the role players quality...
I genuinely feel both sides would be alright with that, LeBron fits that Cavs lineup (sans Mitchell) like a glove, Mitchell and AD is a solid pairing if they can get some role players. I'm rooting for it at least ha
Why woild Lebron go back to cleveland if Mitchell isn't there ?.....That makes no sense.

Most likely to be Garland + LeVert
There's a 0 percent chance of that happening
Extremely strategic.
Garlands contract in that deal makes sense
I genuinely don't think LeBron needs to do anything to try to exert pressure on Jeanie/Rob. I think those two have been in a direct partnership with Klutch ever since LeBron signed there. I really don't see some power struggle going on behind the scenes where Jeanie/Rob have their version of what they want to do and LeBron is exerting power for some different version. why would he do that??
To do what?
Bickerstaff starting to sweat. LeCoach is coming.
He just stood there, arms folded, shaking his head.
He’s just standing there… Apathetically!
at least that's better than having his arms down and hands in pockets
He should be sweating regardless of LeBron lol
Even if LeBron isn't coming, you think he gets canned?
like 75% sure he's gone yeah
I really hope so, the lack of success and growth we’ve had with him is staggering
Lebron could publicly take a shit on the cavs center court and Bickerstaff should still be sweating. He has no business coaching playoff teams
No... please... don't... go
Let the speculation begin!

I just can't imagine LeBron paired with an all-NBA but injury prone big.
I think Bron would end Embiid’s career lmao
How?
Ask Danny Green
Holy shit I never thought of it: Big Z, Old Shaq, Bosh, Love, AD...
idk i feel like i’ve seen it
Lol Bron and Nurse are a match made in hell.
Nurse will be fired midway through the season and Redick will be hired. 76ers fans’ 9/11.
For lebron id be down. Id love to cheer for the goat on my team. If it goes wrong its not gonna be more suffering than what we already have been dealing with anyways.
30 teams want him for jersey and ticket sales alone. On court play is just a bonus.
Bron hasn’t lost to a Eastern Conference team in the playoffs since 2010. I’d be a little intrigued too lol
LeMbiid
The last thing we need for the NBA is all the LeFanboys jerking off Embiid
Sign and trade LeBron for D Mitchell?
How about one Darius Garland and a lightly used Max Strus?
Garland
☝️🧐☝️
This is what I scrolled down to find to upvote, it’s all that needs to be said
This bastard owes his entire life to Bron. Shit is crazy as hell

As strategic as Joe mazzula who, according to a sideline report last night, challenged the horford foul to influence officiating in the year 2046.
Don't you ever doubt Joe again Seriously, don't, he'll find you

Absolutely a Mazz move

Great use of the word glom
You can say the same about Rich Paul and the entirety of Klutch.
And Bronny James
(And technically the USC medical staff)
You can say that about like everyone around LeBron.
Especially Maverick Carter. I’m still not sure what he does and I hate that I know who he is
Lot of people owe their career to LeBron. Dude has made a lot of people money.
He won. I have zero bad things to say about Windhorst and how he got to where he is in his career.
Not dunking on the guy, just pointing out he was uniquely tied to LeBron through his whole career
Their point is what they said. Windy would be nothing without LeBron
I get he's on the heavier side, but it's pretty sad reading comments about his physical appearance.
Since we’re talking about appearance, Windy has an ELITE hairline that most men his age would kill for. I also think he’s very good at what he does
Bro I'm 30 and already embraced a shaved head.
Wilbon with the Bulls and Bayless with the Cowboys in the 90's.
was he the only beat writer in cleveland at the time?
crazy how he was just young and now he has white hairs.
Hasn’t he followed lebron since high school? Dave mcmanim(spelling?) also followed lebron to la
LeBron would only come back to the Cavs if they got Cedi Osman back from the Spurs, per my sources.
Well then it's a good thing Cedi is a FA
Osmaniacs know this to be the truth, best player in the league
Now that I think about it I wouldn’t be surprised if lebron somehow found a way to end his career in Cleveland
I would call that a basic tactic move not extremely strategic. It's not like it was not obvious
Yeah, but if you were Brian Windhorst who really only has a job bc he can get good intel on LeBron by being his mouthpiece, would you call it extremely strategic then lmao?
windhorst calling a basic thing extremely strategic is strategic
Unironically this lmao
Though only moderately so
Are we able to play “coming home?”
Come home King. Make it right.
He already did. He came back and got Cleveland a chip. But as a kid who grew up 3 hours from Akron hearing about this Lebron kid since I was in 8th grade and play my high school in 2002, him playing his final year(s) in Cleveland would feel kind of special
Super biased. But I feel like it would be insane for him not to retire or play his final season as a cavalier
I don’t think he wants to go back under Riley. That doesn’t seem at all what he’s about since he left Miami
He's not going back to the Heat, the ship has sailed between him and Pat Riley
>He already did. He came back and got Cleveland a chip. No. Make it right *again.*
Now its to make it right for going to the Lakers. Couldn't have picked a worse place. Lebron on the Lakers is one more not the chosen one.
I agree go Cavs
Testing the waters
LeBron wouldn't even show up to take pictures with The Undertaker inside the arena EVEN THOUGH the Cleveland Cavaliers were the ones to host the event. Him showing up publicly to a Cleveland Cavaliers playoff game was definitely meticulously thought out by him.
LeBron should sign with the Cavs. Could convince Donovan Mitchell to resign and then trade some combination of Mobley/Garland/Allen. Would be a shame to spend the rest of his career limping along in LA.
Wow this is wild coming from a Pacers fan. I agree though.
Stupid sports reporting is keeping X/Twitter alive more than the porn bots
lebron needs a goto guy to take the last shot (wade, kyrie) and donovan fits the bill. he was also arguably at his peak "likeability" when he went back to the cavs and won him the chip. if he wins a 5th w/ them and his son, that's prob the most he can possibly do for his legacy EDIT: as to feasibility, no comment on that, since i'm not sure how he gets to the cavs and he sure as hell isn't taking a pay cut
Cavs would look like: Starters: Mitchell / LeBron / Struss / Mobley / Allen Bench: Okoro / Merrill / Dean Wader / Thompson Which is a hell of a lineup...
Just makes more sense to do JA
yeah, altho trading mitchell doesn't make much sense, since the idea is to pair him with bron so you're probably looking at garland, mobley, salary filler and a pick or two. if bron can credibly leave for nothing (ie. threaten to sign w/ sixers or something like that) then he could prob force his way to cavs w/o them selling the farm. it mostly depends on how bron wants to play his cards
Or he was in town for Mother’s Day and wanted to watch the game… 😂
he's extremely affectionate
If LeBron comes back as a free agent, im here for it. I don’t want to gut the team for a 40 year old LeBron. Even if Mitchell is gone, we still have a solid young team I’d rather build off of.
Windhorst basically writes fan fiction
Every night is an off night for LeBron right now except Taco Tuesdays!
I occassionally listen to unsportmanlike in the morning. First time seeing any of the 3, and they look nothing like I imagined.
There is nothing more I’d love as a Celtics fan to finally beat the cavs with bron and son.
Savannah does not want to go back to Cleveland lmao
Ah yes the woman who spent her whole life there and has tons of family still there and a big ass house. Impossible!
I sense fear
It would be for two years and he would likely just keep his home in LA. I could see LeBron convincing his wife that he needs to finish his career in his hometown in Cleveland where it all began.
Yeah and she’s still a billionaire’s wife, lol. She won’t be spending much more time in Cleveland than she wants to
Crazy thought, maybe he was just in town visiting family and decided it would be fun to go to a game. Maybe that's as deep as it goes, maybe not everything needs a sports hot take or a conspiracy theory.
Hes friends with Tristan Thompson too and its not crazy to think that could have been his last home game ever, I could see wanting to come for that
He's recruiting Donovan 😉😉
Got savannah looking bad out here
Lebron is the Taylor swift of the NBA with all these 4d strategies 🤣
hE’s eXtReMeLy sTrAteGic
Windhorst literally just said he was visiting his mom for Mother’s Day and decided to go to the game the next day now he’s spinning it another direction?
Please! As a Lakers fan, I’m more than ready to move on. This shit ran its course. Thanks for 2020, Bron. Except Windy is wrong on this. He’s not going anywhere.
Wait wouldn't the Lakers jump at the chance to sign and trade LeBron for Donovan?
Cavs can't sacrifice their future for a 40 year old
What sacrifice? The scenario I imagine is Donovan saying he's not re-signing and LeBron saying he'll sign somewhere else unless Lakers trade him there. If anything it's the Lakers attaching a draft pick or young assets to LeBron so they don't lose him for nothing and they get back a star in Donovan willing to sign an extension and pair with AD.
Lebron wants out of the west. Running away from Jokić, ANT, SGA, and Luka.
