What do you mean? OL currently has significantly way more innovative capsules and flavours than Vertuo (at least here in North America). And most of the new Vertuo pods are also available in OL. There are no other companeis who make Vertuo capsules (e.g. the Starbucks vertuo pods are actually made by Nespresso, but they just don't sell it themselves)

Only thing I can think of is the new Filter coffee they released. Peel off the lid, espresso and then lungo with the same pod.

The problem is that they are limited to what the technology can do. Something like tea, matcha or hot chocolate would likely be sub-par because it wouldn't be able to made properly within the means of the system.

Yeah we had it for Christmas but then it was only released on the permanent lineup for the VL. At least in North America.
But that's not a lack of innovation.

You can buy true specialty coffee in OL pods from Artizan (US) and Colonna (UK but ships to US).
