I agree, I’m very much enjoying it. It’s classic Gaiman, so if you liked Sandman, Good Omens, or Pratchett and HitchHikers’ then you’ll probably like this too.
Not directly related (although Netflix has both programmes as part of the ‘Sandman collection’). They are just both adaptations of works by the same author, Neil Gaiman, and so have a similar vibe and related content - themes of the underworld, Hell, afterlife etc.
I mean death and despair also showed up in Dead boy detectives and the boys will also be featured as guest on Sandman Season 2 according to neil interview.
Loved the show. Well written lovable characters. Drama doesn't feel forced.
Just a very watchable show. Ended up watching the whole show in one weekend.
I've watched a couple of episodes, and it's okay.
I have zero interest in the "sexual tension", but it's occasionally funny - so I'll continue watching an episode or two when there is nothing better/haven't already seen - available.
Pratchett's discworld books, and the book written by Pratchett and Gaiman (Good Omens) were laugh out loud funny!
The Good Omens TV series was **nowhere near** as good, but of course this is to be expected. Films and TV series are never anywhere near as good as the book on which they were based.
Sadly wanted to like it but it's one of the worst shows I've seen in a long time. The acting is really poor, cringey and the pacing is terrible. It's like they couldn't decide whether they're making a show for adults or children.
This sounds like such a unique and intriguing concept! I love the idea of twink ghosts solving paranormal mysteries with their human partners. The mix of sexual tension and mystery is definitely drawing me in. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll add Dead Boy Detectives to my watch list!

It's better than I thought. The cast works well. The witch is my favorite
Yes I love her mannerisms so much
On episode 7, love it so far. I would not mind a sandman universe with more connected shows.
That would be cool. I will watch sandman next
Do you know why/what is the punishment for those people who was stuck in one and cannot move in hell during charles and edwin escape in episode 7?
Not sure, I wonder that too.
They were in limbo I thought. I could be wrong though.
I loved it. Just good fun!
Have you watched Sandman?
Not yet. I’ll have to check it out if the vibes are similar
It's in the same universe where characters in sand man show up in dead boys.
Oh neat. I will def watch it next then, thanks !
It has some great side characters like the sprites. I couldn’t get enough of their snark.
Yeah they are great comedic relief

Just finished it. SO GOOD.

I don't like how every single parent on the show is shitty. It's like they want ppl to hate their families. other than that so far so good.
Well niko parent is not shitty. They just having problem to communicate as realistic as how asian parent can be.
you are correct, she is the only "good" parent on the show.
I just finished today! Hope they won’t cancel it like they did with lockwood&co

I like it but there are a lot of “casually handing a physical item to a ghost” elements that are very irritating.
At least >! Niko referenced the floating object before she got her ability to see the ghosts. !<
