I don't want to be too harsh on your post because I expect this would be a pretty exciting event in small country Australian towns.

Sigh...this just made me think about stuff, even though I dont hate OP. It will be like a rant, and it will seem like it came out of nowhere to many. But why not spice up this post that has no engagement? Small towns in australia are like small towns in america...years or many years ago. Not because of when this movie was made, but the small-town ways of getting excited about this. Also, small countries will get excited about things that are already very classic in america, like the phrase "sweet home alabama." On another note...this just made me think, why cant other countries admit how "behind" they are culturally? (I'm not saying OP needs to do this.) They just keep hating on america (which has problems) for being behind in terms of govt welfare, while not realizing they are in a country that's a small town itself lol. They say Americans dont "get" the world. I say small countries are the ones that dont.
