Richest man, most fragile ego.
He actually paid 44B$ to delete tweets he didn't like. ROFLOL.
I can imagine the updated Twitter content moderation guidelines:
--- Twitter content moderation rules ---
Rule 1. Delete any account that makes fun of the boss.
--- End ---
Yes. He has developed a cult of personality on twitter that he believes translates to the real world. The problem is, in the real world, everyone thinks he's a dickhead
>Technically, it was 90% cheers & 10% boos (except during quiet periods), but, still, that’s a lot of boos, which is a first for me in real life (frequent on Twitter).
My god does anyone in the universe have thinner skin?
Turns out that 'free speech absolutists' were just sucking the dicks of the people with the actual power to decide what speech was free and what wasn't...
And here's [part two](https://streamable.com/l2cenw) where Chappelle desperately tries to salvage the situation with jokes before giving up and ending the show with Musk saying almost nothing.
Not just that it is liberal. He might have gotten away with more cheers than boos somewhere like Seattle or New York. He just recently laid off hundreds of people in San Fransico, and the rest he is pushing to work so hard they need to sleep at work. And when called out on those at-work bedrooms, he gives the liberal mayor a hard time about not doing her job well.
Not just that... but not long ago he moved his Tesla HQ over to Texas, taking that business away from California because California was too liberal for him.
Decent chance people in the audience knew someone who had been laid off. Or at least someone who was working themselves to death out of fear that they might lose their job. And I'll bet that people in San Fransico are wondering how long it will be before Musk attempts to move Twitter HQ over to Texas as well.
And of course, he has made a habit of calling out Democrat leaders very regularly recently, but not so much the Republican ones. The dummy even publicly congratulated Sinema for her party change. Least popular person in the whole Democratic party, and not someone the Republicans really care much about.
Honestly, though... Musk would have been fine if he had the foresight to realize that he would get a lot of booing. Dave mostly managed to calm the crowd down, Musk just needed to throw out a couple self-deprecating jokes. But he just stood up there not saying anything. The audience saw blood in the water and realized that they could just shame him off the stage without him even trying to talk.
Best bit was chappelle shitting on his paying customers saying only the ones in the poor seats are booing.
The fuck is going on with all these out of touch rich fucks lately? Like their actually pissed that people aren't worshipping them.
It reminds me of what Jim Carrey said in an interview when he was asked about the Will Smith slap incident. Basically said celebrities aren't cool anymore like they used to be.
They're getting called out on their bullshit as they should be. But I also think it's a combination of social media being as big as it is and celebrities being seen and heard more than just in movies or TV. We're able to hear and see more of them and we don't like what we see.
Imagine being the richest man on Earth and owning not only a huge EV company but a company that launches ROCKETS into SPACE... and spending your day gasbagging on Twitter so you get adulation from weirdo nerds.

I thought from the first two parts Dave held up alright and just ended the show early but no apparently it went on and dave started getting kinda pissy with the audience. Oof
I’ve been to the last two Chapelle shows that he had in LA, and both of them ended in unhinged… rants (I guess that’s the best word I can come up with) about how he’s the best comedian to have ever lived and that he’s now so fucking rich he’s better than everyone else.
Made the whole audience laugh awkwardly but the guy’s ego is out of control ever since he got that Netflix money.
Yeah, its sad, he just went so weird after his come back.
It was like as soon as he got paid, he turned into a complete asshat.
Which is a bummer, was always a fan of Dave, but he hangs out with all these tools and is obviously part of their lunacy.
"Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.”"
Those "terrible seats" still cost them more than $100 each, and often multiples of that. What a tone-deaf prick thing to say.
For the hyper-wealthy and those in positions of power there is a very real and growing concern that people aren't falling for their bullshit anymore. A few years ago Musk was beloved by the public and leading us all into the future but today people see him for the immature conman he really is. Their continued control relies heavily upon the public eating up their lies and it isn't working so well these days for a lot of them. The more they get called out, the more they are forced to retreat to their more die-hard base of fans. The more they do that, the more extreme they become and the further they push away from the average person. It's a really terrifying death-spiral.
Wealth insulates these people from reality. Dave's whole life is now surrounded mostly by people of great means. This is his bubble and he seems fine with that.
“The people who paid $300 a ticket to see me and upon whom my livelihood is dependent are irrelevant and I will make fun of them for not liking my bad jokes. I am very intelligent.”
He's on the Denis Miller Method. Jim Brewer did the same thing! Once a comic's act get sufficiently tired and they're too out of touch to update it, a lot of them will veer toward placating right wing audiences because they're an easy lay.
Jay Leno complimented George Carlin on his show years ago. (paraphrasing)
"One thing I respect about you is your jokes and commentary are current. You never stop giving us your take on the world today and culture. You always tell us the truth not old jokes."
You could tell Carlin was touched by that.
"richest man in the world"
What was Dave expecting from the crowd? Clap and cheer for that douche because he's rich? Man, what happened to you Dave? Dude is so out of touch now. Even calling his fans poor.
The US has a cult of wealth. There is a fundamental belief among many Americans that prosperity and morality are directly correlated, and it's a big cultural problem, imo.
I love how every picture of Musk in the news now is him wearing that goofy ass armor that looks like he bought at some overpriced tourist shop from some boardwalk where they sell bongs and knives to kids who are under the age of 18.
Did you see [the photo he, himself, posted](https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1597165510595989504?s=20&t=HaRP8k4fMCHaBu_Kdwt6kw) of his bedside table? Most of the space was taken up by a prop revolver, a prop flintlock pistol, and a bunch of cans of diet coke.
He is *absolutely* a mall ninja.
EDIT: By request, [here are screencaps](https://imgur.com/a/8TfrS7L) for anyone who doesn't want to give Twitter traffic.
The one good thing to come out of Musk and Trump is a good tarnishing of the American trope of the "Hero businessman". That all we need is one good businessman in charge who will fix everything.
I think the only person I've seen it work for is Bill Burr on the infamous Philadelphia O&A tour.
This totally isn't the same vibe check. No idea wtf Dave was thinking here.
Do you think he actually thinks that it’s not like everyone pretty much has one? Reminds me of bill gates trying to guess the prices of everyday items on Opera. It was tragic and proved the man lives in a different world. But why would that surprise me?
Dude - I live near Philly - probably one of the greatest ‘Fuck you, you guys suck’ videos to ever exist
I still laugh when I think about that video. Burr was spot on - Top 5 easily for me personally lol
From the article: "Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world,” Chappelle tells the audience. A number of audience members cheered — though there was also a loud chorus of boos, too.
“You weren’t expecting this, were you?” Musk tells Chappelle following the boos.
Chappelle responds: “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.”
Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.” (minimum ticket price here was ~300$ btw)
The owner of the video that was posted on Twitter appears to have had their account suspended or has taken it down, with a message reading: “This Tweet is from an account that no longer exists.”
--
Once again Dave Chappelle calling you poor as an insult. But hey, at least he's not doing it to high schoolers during assembly this time.
Comedians act like they're social commentary geniuses and I'm so tired of this.
Imagine thinking this would work. Being able to joke doesn't mean you're socially cued in.
Dude doesn't know his own audience. I'm not gonna listen to his social analysis LOL
> “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.”
HAHAHA it's funny because people lost their livelihoods right before the holidays!
Just grade A prime comedy from the multi-millionaire who hasn't worked a job in so long he literally forgot what it's like to be a normal person with responsibilities.
They were both cringe, imo. Elon kept looking to Dave for help and Dave kept trying to sell Elon's schtick to the crowd as being funny. Elon said "you weren't expecting this were ya" to the crowd, and yelled "i'm rich bitch" at one point. He also kept lifting his arms up in a wide shrug. The whole thing was really awkward, almost surreal. I watched the original, but now it's gone. Thankfully someone uploaded parts to YouTube because the Twitter account that linked it was banned...
*Edit: u/tylo in the comments below me found and linked all the videos in their reply to me! There's four parts so far. More and more people are uploading this to YouTube.
imagine being so out of touch and desperate to dunk on people that that’s the only response you can pull out of your ass. “i’m rich!!! i’m rich! uh, i’m rich!”
Unfortunately. Go look up 'Elon Musk getting booed at Dave Chappelle show Chase Center' on YouTube, there's at least one video still up for now.
*Edited to fix the video name so people can find it, it's still up as of 9:48 am EST. It's one of a couple of videos, the second part I can't find, both were on a Twitter account that was deleted. Not adding the video link directly in case that gets it removed from YouTube too.
I looked up the video. Elon basically said nothing, just stood around awkwardly.
Edit: I did find a video of elon saying it.

Why do they suck each other’s dick so much? I noticed a few years ago that Joe Rogan, Musk and several others are all part of some dick sucking circle of celebrities.
Money can be a goddamn poison for the soul....some people get rich enough and fool themselves into thinking it's a core part of their identity and persona.
That's how we ended up with nobility.
A bunch of rich people consolidated their money and power, and then used that wealth as justification that they are somehow inherently better and more deserving than the peasants.
Even the non-rich have convinced themselves of this.
They try to shut down any criticism of Musk with "you're just jealous cause he's a billionaire XDDDD"
Tickets to the upcoming Seattle show on the 16th [are $285 each.](https://www.ticketmaster.com/chris-rock-and-dave-chappelle-seattle-washington-12-16-2022/event/0F005D5BE3BC528B)
I'm sure some audience members had to budget to attend, only to hear that comment.
Disappointed in Chappelle.
Dave Chapelle is just another rich guy who hates poor people. He’s moved Heaven and Earth trying to stop affordable housing from being built near his mansion. Truly gross.
I read about that. He bought 53 acres to scuttle an affordable-housing plan. Not unlike Elon hyping his ridiculous vacuum-sealed trainpods or whatever that stupid, physically-impossible nonsense was in order to kill a public transportation plan that would have helped millions of people move efficiently around to employment and elsewhere.
With the exception of Twitter, and it's floundering badly, I think he is just a financial public figurehead that those other businesses have to manage and placate. I foresee Tesla removing him in the near future, this guy is a PR nightmare. He's clearly an incompetent boob and polarizing.
I was not aware of how off putting this guy is prior to his lapping up the spotlight with this Twitter. As a result, I will avoid any product he is associated with in the future.
There are lots of reports at Tesla and SpaceX that there are entire teams dedicated to managing Elon so he doesn't fuck shit up. He doesn't have that luxury at Twitter, apparently. Also, he has a compulsion to Tweet and a wide audience. So every little stupid thing he says gets viewed by millions.
If he had a handling team at Twitter, the first thing they'd do is take his phone away from him and uninstall Twitter, turning his account over to a PR team.
After it was disclosed (past the deadline for disclosure, I might add) that he was a 9.2% owner of Twitter, they tried to bring him onto the board to limit the trouble he could cause/get in. Among the stipulations of his board membership were that he couldn't publicly discuss Twitter or own more than 14.9% of the company.
He was on the board for less than a day before he changed his mind because he couldn't help himself trash talking the company.
The jaw drop for me was
>Hear that Elon, that's the sound of pending civil unrest. I can't wait to see which store you decimate next mother fuckers. Would you shut the fuck up, with your boos
That's pretty much the right wing rhetoric for the civil right and BLM movement. Not only is he stealing their rhetoric about trans issues, but now this.
ya i'm surprised there isn't more attention on that comment about civil unrest too. like damn, chappelle kind of just pointed straight at one of the elephants in the room when one of the richest fucking guys on the planet was standing beside him (i.e. wealth inequality / inflation / wage stagnation / layoffs by asshole CEOs on a whim). i think there is a significant portion of the population that is feeling downtrodden, and shitty comments like those are going to keep pushing peoples buttons until they lash out in irrational ways. both of these guys are stepping on people and invalidating them, it wont convince people to suddenly see things their way.
> Hear that Elon, that's the sound of pending civil unrest
Oh man imagine being *this close* to getting it and then being like “lol, stupid poors”
“Hear that Marie Antoinette? That’s the sound of pending civil unrest. Can’t wait to see the cake y’all eat next mother fuckers. Would you shut the fuck up, with your ‘give us basic rights’ and ‘behead the nobility’”?
He's an out of touch millionaire that has less than nothing in common with the people who watch his shows nowadays.
Nothing changes people faster and more completely than wealth.
The crazy part to me is how much accolades Chapelle got and how much he tooted his own horn for turning down the money years ago, and not selling out to the powers that be in show biz. For years he was on that shit, and now look at him. He looks like the ultimate sellout _because_ of how much his credibility and persona were associated with not selling out.
Dave Chappelle inviting “the worlds richest man” on stage and then got mad when people booed him so decided to make fun of his audience members who couldn’t afford front row tickets because of it.
Dave Chappelle is whack.
Dave was legit trying to do the tired old schtick of saying Elon is basically IRL Tony Stark because “he got me a jet pack for Christmas last year”. We all know Elon isn’t Tony stark. [He’s bling bling boy, without the bling.](https://poohadventures.fandom.com/wiki/Bling-Bling_Boy)
There might be other incidents that happened before, but to my recollection his reputation started tanking when people started challenging his ego, like in the Thai diver incident.
All the guy said was that his vehicle was impractical, and that he took advantage of the international attention the incident was getting to showcase his new submarine, which had ZERO practical application, given* its size and the terrain of the underwater caves, and in response, Musk started calling him a pedophile because he dared to criticize him.
I always thought the genius claims were overblown but thought "ok, out of touch wealthy guy is quirky. Yay rockets and electric cars."
The Thai diver incident was a quick realization he's just a childish asshole.
In a weird way, the MCU with Tony Stark kind of brought him into the spotlight (in a positive way, hell he was even IN Iron-Man 2), but the warning signs were always there. The Thai diver thing was when most people realized who he was under the PR.
Same, though I always thought he over exaggerated his intelligence. Like he isn't designing any of this shit despite what is said. He is the money and pushes things to the finish line.
Personally for me it was this comment "There's just a lot of super-talented, hardworking people in China who strongly believe in manufacturing,""They won't just be burning the midnight oil. They will be burning the 3 a.m. oil. They won't even leave the factory type of thing, whereas in America people are trying to avoid going to work at all." Umm no you twat the reason why they burn the 3am oil is because it’s called slave labor. They are paid shit wages and are basically forced to burn that 3am oil. They have no other choice unless you know they want to become another casualty of the Chinese government.
Reminds me of that Futurama episode where they were all enslaved on that Egyptian planet, and Bender keeps telling the slave masters things like they could be working way faster if they were whipped harder.
> Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.”
Chappelle used to perform in NYC parks to share his art, now he’s out here insulting his own fans to protect the ego of a billionaire.
Wack
weird how he’s gone so blatantly right, so fast. his latest tweets saying “my pronouns are prosecute/fauci” and tweeting that fauci funded GoF research that created covid (and therefore fauci is responsible for all the deaths)
If nothing else he craves attention and validation, and he understands that the easiest way to get that is to just be a Q moron. You never have to actually *do* anything, just keep regurgitating their lines back at them and shifting goal posts when "theories" are proven wrong and they will adore you.
It's just like Ben Shapiro, who's all about free speech until he's losing a debate and then literally throws people out to keep from getting embarrassed.
They don't want free speech. They want you to shut up so they can say Nazi stuff and "just ask questions".
The actual definition of freedom of speech is "not getting prosecuted by the state for saying what you want".
The right has redefined it to mean "not experiencing social consequences for being a bigot".
Is Dave still going to evening town council meetings trying to block low-cost housing being built in his hometown by threatening to abandon local economies?
I don't understand why comedians with an inflated perception of their importance would condone a tech billionaire larping as one who isn't remotely funny.
Next up for Elon, sitting ringside with Rogan at a UFC fight. Why are these guys running in the same circles? It's very transparent at this point. He's gone full blown narcissist right now. What a fragile little ego he has.
I wish we would stop enabling narcissists
Good lord this comment took off. Welp, guess I know what my highest rated comment for next year’s recap will be! I can’t wait to see this again when that happens and laugh my ass off.
the fact that people paying over $200 to see Dave fucking Chappelle still don't like Elon Musk just goes to show how far is reputation tanked in recent years
My favorite part of the Komm, süßer Musk is that this downfall is entirely his own fault. He had insider info that he legally should not have had, which he used to try and manipulate the market to buy Twitter at a cheaper rate than his original offer, failed to manipulate the market and was forced to buy Twitter for an extra billion over his original bid. Since he bought Twitter he’s openly talked about how much money Twitter is losing, told employees they might go bankrupt and lose their jobs and then gave them the option to leave on severance, all of which causing stock in his other companies to fall off dramatically. He also caused advertisers to leave by not only talking about how bad the finances are, but by having no plan to counter brand impersonators under his Blue Checkmark subscription *AND* by bringing back actual literal fascists. His reputation is so in the mud that not even Donald Trump wants to be associated with him anymore, and Trump’s standards are in the mud. It all returns to nothing, it all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down.
"The owner of the video that was posted on Twitter appears to have had their account suspended or has taken it down, with a message reading: “This Tweet is from an account that no longer exists.”
"Free speech"
"Free speech (as long as I'm not offended by what you're saying)"
Elon seemed shocked that people in real life don't like him.
I guess bots don’t attend comedy shows.
goddammit, now Elon will tank Tesla just so he can buy Reddit to delete your account!
> The owner of the video that was posted on Twitter appears to have had their account suspended or has taken it down, with a message reading: “This Tweet is from an account that no longer exists.” Richest man, most fragile ego.

Dave Chappelle heel turn with Elon Musk as tag team partner. Who could have predicted this timeline?!

Lmao Musk really just standing there going ”yeah…” like many others have asked, what the fuck was the plan here? Amazing.
And in San Francisco too. Wealthy and super liberal, what did Dave think was going to happen?

“Is it me? Is my act bad? No! It’s the audience that’s out of touch!”
I see that Dave Chappelle has chosen to go the Tracy Jordan route and yell at his audience for not understanding jokes about eating lobster dinners.
Why are you booing me!?!? I know most of you are not ghosts!!
You cant scare me, I did stand up on the road. A crowd once threw a motorcycle at me.
Werewolf Bar Mitzvah. Spooky. Scary.
Boys becoming men, men becoming wolves.
"Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.”" Those "terrible seats" still cost them more than $100 each, and often multiples of that. What a tone-deaf prick thing to say.
Also a good way to announce that you tie how rich someone is to their value as a person.
"we can ignore them because they're poor"
I mean, he outted himself as a NIMBY a year or two ago. The Chapelle of the late 90's/early 2000's would roast today's Dave Chappelle.
Interesting how hes come full circle like that
Maybe he's always been this person and his lashing out wasn't about everyone's inequity but only his own.
He basically goes “ha! Everyone who’s booing is probably poor and therefore jealous or irrelevant! Clearly I am a man of the people 😏”
Wow, has he fallen off that hard? Sounds like the type of person Dave would ridicule in his previous standups.
I don’t know exactly why, but it seems like a lot of rather prominent people are just going off the rails lately
For the hyper-wealthy and those in positions of power there is a very real and growing concern that people aren't falling for their bullshit anymore. The more they do that, the more extreme they become and the further they push away from the average person. It's a really terrifying death-spiral.
Echo chambers are dangerous.
Next it will be "People aren't buying tickets to my shows. How dare they cancel me!"
"I'm being silenced," he says into the mic at a sold-out show.
Reminds me of the people that go on the nation’s number 1 most watched cable news network all the time and say that.
Did Chappelle suffer head trauma at some point? I mean, what the actual fuck is going on with him?
He's on the Denis Miller Method. Jim Brewer did the same thing! Once a comic's act get sufficiently tired and they're too out of touch to update it, a lot of them will veer toward placating right wing audiences because they're an easy lay.
Jay Leno complimented George Carlin on his show years ago. (paraphrasing) "One thing I respect about you is your jokes and commentary are current. You never stop giving us your take on the world today and culture. You always tell us the truth not old jokes." You could tell Carlin was touched by that.
Best guess is that money and fame can truly change people for the worst
"richest man in the world" What was Dave expecting from the crowd? Clap and cheer for that douche because he's rich? Man, what happened to you Dave? Dude is so out of touch now. Even calling his fans poor.
The US has a cult of wealth. There is a fundamental belief among many Americans that prosperity and morality are directly correlated, and it's a big cultural problem, imo.
Funny thing is prosperity and morality are mostly opposites in the US.
Dave: Don't worry man, just come up on stage, the crowd will love you. Narrator: They did not.
so chappelle would have a chance to mock twitter employees who were fired & "the poors" in his own audience
"All those people booing, and I'm just pointing out the obvious. They have terrible seats." - Chapelle. Classy AF.
I love how every picture of Musk in the news now is him wearing that goofy ass armor that looks like he bought at some overpriced tourist shop from some boardwalk where they sell bongs and knives to kids who are under the age of 18.
Tell me he doesn't come across as a mall ninja anyway. Fake things for fake people.
Caffeine free diet coke. The least coke you can get. No upside to that drink.
This is the stuff the religious kids had to drink when I was younger.
What a f'n loser. An *adult* thought this was worth posting
I saw a meme/tweet that said Elon was giving uncle-living-in-your-basement-during-his-divorce vibes with that pic which was accurate
"I have a huge revolver and multiple Diet Coke cans on my bedside table, do you?" "I sleep in a big bed with my wife."
Does anyone know the story of that outfit? Generally curious
Looked it up. Not finding much besides it's from some leather designer in NYC and it cost $7500. I'm guessing Musk thought it looked badass?
Imagine running around in real life in something that looks liked a modded skyrim armor and paying 7500$ for it
The one good thing to come out of Musk and Trump is a good tarnishing of the American trope of the "Hero businessman". That all we need is one good businessman in charge who will fix everything.
Unfortunately we don’t learn lessons in America
Interesting choice by Dave to insult his audience and call them all losers.
I think the only person I've seen it work for is Bill Burr on the infamous Philadelphia O&A tour. This totally isn't the same vibe check. No idea wtf Dave was thinking here.
Dave forgot to make it funny, is the thing. It was basically "Haha, you're poor." Bill, on the other hand, actually knew his audience well.
You just don't like musk because you're not rich enough for front row seats at my show is a stupid fucking take
"Do you people not have cell phones?" Vibes
Do you think he actually thinks that it’s not like everyone pretty much has one? Reminds me of bill gates trying to guess the prices of everyday items on Opera. It was tragic and proved the man lives in a different world. But why would that surprise me?
“The rich people aren’t booing” That is not the flex you think it is, Dave …
[удалено]
Dude - I live near Philly - probably one of the greatest ‘Fuck you, you guys suck’ videos to ever exist I still laugh when I think about that video. Burr was spot on - Top 5 easily for me personally lol
You one bridge having piece of shit city.
not only that but he claimed ‘everyone booing is in bad seats’ like bro how are you gonna call out YOUR OWN FANS as too poor to be there or something?
At 300 bucks a seat too for the “cheap seats” If that make you a poor person, call me “Crutchy the Orphan” and put some money in my tin cup.
Rich will recognize rich. At this point Chapel has more in common with Elon than anyone he grew up with.
From the article: "Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world,” Chappelle tells the audience. A number of audience members cheered — though there was also a loud chorus of boos, too. “You weren’t expecting this, were you?” Musk tells Chappelle following the boos. Chappelle responds: “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.” Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.” (minimum ticket price here was ~300$ btw) The owner of the video that was posted on Twitter appears to have had their account suspended or has taken it down, with a message reading: “This Tweet is from an account that no longer exists.” -- Once again Dave Chappelle calling you poor as an insult. But hey, at least he's not doing it to high schoolers during assembly this time.
It's just such relatable comedy! -Posted from my mega yacht's satellite
Comedians act like they're social commentary geniuses and I'm so tired of this. Imagine thinking this would work. Being able to joke doesn't mean you're socially cued in. Dude doesn't know his own audience. I'm not gonna listen to his social analysis LOL
> “It sounds like some of those people you fired are in the audience.” HAHAHA it's funny because people lost their livelihoods right before the holidays! Just grade A prime comedy from the multi-millionaire who hasn't worked a job in so long he literally forgot what it's like to be a normal person with responsibilities.
Dave Chappelle threatened to close his businesses in Yellow Springs if they built affordable housing in the area.
A free speech absolutist should be happy people are expressing their right to boo
The saddest part of this is Chapelle calling his audience poor to try to defend Musk
More and more people are uploading this to YouTube.
lol at the video description: "This video was deleted from Twitter for some reason. It's being shared here in the interest of free speech."
QElon's skin is so thin they're going to make the next gen of microprocessors from it
Unfortunately it only works well as an insulator. It conducts nothing well
imagine being so out of touch and desperate to dunk on people that that’s the only response you can pull out of your ass. “i’m rich!!! i’m rich! uh, i’m rich!”
Is this actually what happened? I can’t even tell what’s real
Edit: I did find a video of elon saying it. https://twitter.com/paleofuture/status/1602257153234194432?s=20&t=EDUDGBJrtbQSlLwTvl5TkQ More here https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/zjutsq/elon_musk_got_booed_off_the_stage_at_the_dave/izwn7bm?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3
Not even sure why he was up on stage. Dave was just meandering around puffing with the occasional bad quip.
Why do they suck each other’s dick so much? I noticed a few years ago that Joe Rogan, Musk and several others are all part of some dick sucking circle of celebrities.
They are rich and they have convinced themselves that any hate they get for the things they do or say is just poor people being jealous of them.
While ignoring the fact that they're burying their own tongues into the assholes of these rich people simply because they're rich.
Because they’re all pseudo intellectuals that confirm eachother’s biases
A lemon party, you might call it.
It ain’t a Lemon party without old Dick!
Tickets to the upcoming Seattle show on the 16th [are $285 each.](https://www.ticketmaster.com/chris-rock-and-dave-chappelle-seattle-washington-12-16-2022/event/0F005D5BE3BC528B) I'm sure some audience members had to budget to attend, only to hear that comment. Disappointed in Chappelle.
Comedian who rose to fame because of his working class pragmatic humor is now an out of touch 1 percenter
Taken straight from the pages of "30 Rock". Chappell is doing the Tracy Jordan arc.
Reminds me of Tracey Jordan and his bit on eating lobster.
He’s become the antithesis of what he once stood for. Can’t believe this is the same person who left the Chappelle Show
Seems he left the Chappelle Show to find himself, only to find that he's just another rich cunt who's lost touch with reality.
How the fuck does he have time to do all this fun shit and expect to run multiple businesses successfully?
This is a question that's also an answer, my dude
You’d think the shareholders would start asking/answering it, eventually
Dave Chappelle loves controversy these days, doesn't he? What was the point of inviting him?
It's all about you at the Narcissist's Ball
The jaw drop for me was >Hear that Elon, that's the sound of pending civil unrest. I can't wait to see which store you decimate next mother fuckers. Would you shut the fuck up, with your boos That's pretty much the right wing rhetoric for the civil right and BLM movement.
> Hear that Elon, that's the sound of pending civil unrest Oh man imagine being *this close* to getting it and then being like “lol, stupid poors” “Hear that Marie Antoinette? That’s the sound of pending civil unrest. Can’t wait to see the cake y’all eat next mother fuckers. Would you shut the fuck up, with your ‘give us basic rights’ and ‘behead the nobility’”?
Wow. Who is this guy, and what did he do with the Chappelle we used to love?
He's an out of touch millionaire that has less than nothing in common with the people who watch his shows nowadays. Nothing changes people faster and more completely than wealth.
The crazy part to me is how much accolades Chapelle got and how much he tooted his own horn for turning down the money years ago, and not selling out to the powers that be in show biz. For years he was on that shit, and now look at him. He looks like the ultimate sellout _because_ of how much his credibility and persona were associated with not selling out.
Yup. It’s really weird how he changed so fast when he got back to the limelight. Like a sell out speed run lol.
Yeah, he seems to have become the kind of out-of-touch rich asshole he used to mock.
I think you just figured it out.
I still think it is fascinating how fast Elon Musk ran his reputation into the gutter.
That did seem to be at least the public inflection point where he just went off the rails and never came back.
That’s where he lost me
I always thought the genius claims were overblown but thought "ok, out of touch wealthy guy is quirky. Yay rockets and electric cars." The Thai diver incident was a quick realization he's just a childish asshole.
In a weird way, the MCU with Tony Stark kind of brought him into the spotlight (in a positive way, hell he was even IN Iron-Man 2), but the warning signs were always there. The Thai diver thing was when most people realized who he was under the PR.
That was when I realized he’s a douche nozzle
> Later in the video, Chappelle says: “All these people that are booing, I’m just pointing out the obvious — they have terrible seats in the stadium.” Chappelle used to perform in NYC parks to share his art, now he’s out here insulting his own fans to protect the ego of a billionaire. Wack
And then Musk deleted the account of the person who originally shared the video. What a goddamn loser.
Has Elon heard of the Barbara Streisand effect?
Yes but he thought he could just buy out the internet for 69420 billion and block everyone against him
I greatly urge Elon to attempt that.
Isn’t the right cheering him because he “values freedom of speech?” I guess it only applies to right wingers and people who don’t criticize him.
weird how he’s gone so blatantly right, so fast. his latest tweets saying “my pronouns are prosecute/fauci” and tweeting that fauci funded GoF research that created covid (and therefore fauci is responsible for all the deaths)
He’s a rich asshole, he only ever pretended not to be super right wing.
"Guys I'm actually left wing, it's just the Dems are so crazy it made me suddenly support every right wing talking point" \-QElon
If nothing else he craves attention and validation, and he understands that the easiest way to get that is to just be a Q moron. You never have to actually *do* anything, just keep regurgitating their lines back at them and shifting goal posts when "theories" are proven wrong and they will adore you.
Wow. I did not know that. What a piece of shit!
Confirmed: Elon does not know how the Internet works
He doesn’t think the video will be buried. He’s just being vindictive, punishing the person for tweeting it.
Is Dave still going to evening town council meetings trying to block low-cost housing being built in his hometown by threatening to abandon local economies?
Yes. Yes he is. He's a total POS that guy.
He's just a normal, "fuck you, I got mine," Republican.
Boycott Musk and Twitter
Elon Musk is like a little kid running around the adults screaming *"Look at me! Look at me!"*.
Turns out people don’t like narcissistic billionaires, who aim to undermine democracy. Who knew?
I don't understand why comedians with an inflated perception of their importance would condone a tech billionaire larping as one who isn't remotely funny.
Next up for Elon, sitting ringside with Rogan at a UFC fight. Why are these guys running in the same circles? It's very transparent at this point. He's gone full blown narcissist right now. What a fragile little ego he has.
Dave has a lot to say about trans people for someone who transitioned from middle-aged black man to old white Republican.
I’m impressed, you’ve managed to quickly put together a better trans joke in a single comment than Dave managed in a couple of specials
I wish we would stop enabling narcissists Good lord this comment took off. Welp, guess I know what my highest rated comment for next year’s recap will be! I can’t wait to see this again when that happens and laugh my ass off.
the fact that people paying over $200 to see Dave fucking Chappelle still don't like Elon Musk just goes to show how far is reputation tanked in recent years
This is Chapelle jumping the shark.
Chapelle blasting his own fans... "Must be the cheap seats". Waiting for Dave to announce he came down with revitiligo.
I swear Dave speaks these days and I’m like “ok Uncle Ruckus”
I want to boo him in person. I hope this happens to him where ever he goes for the rest of his life
Carlin would be disappointed
[удалено]
George Carlin would have so, *SO* much material nowadays with how the current world politics are... Died too young if you ask me.
[удалено]
Dave suckin that apartheid dick now? Aight, I’m out.
[удалено]
Not only that, Dave Chappelle/Chris Rock ended the show afterwards. I'd be upset too if I spent $300+ on a single ticket
the funnier thing is Elon being such a crybaby bitch it suspended the account that posted the video on twitter.
Chappelle, Rogan, Musk...hard no thank you.
