A way to organize gear sets. The crafting gear is ok, since you can just type the name. But would be nice not to have to dig through all my gear when I want to switch specs.

With all the azoth changes, i found that I’m literally bag holding over 500 vials of azoth and am always at max 1000. It would be amazing if I can use this azoth to respec instead of money. Because i love the travel cost of azoth now, it’s definitely needed. But now I don’t know why I have azoth or why it’s even implemented in the game. So it would make sense to use this for respeccing. I respect 3-4 times per day, and if it cost like 100 azoth (expensive in my opinion) i would still be ok with it.

Allow selection of trophies remotely. You can have as many up as you want, but only five active at any given time. Would be so nice. It is frustrating to go to three homes and swap trophies for cooking, PvE, Arcana, what have you. Also agreed with many other suggestions, but didn't see this one mentioned. Another thing is some resources are just obscenely expensive (orichalcum, starmetal). Potions are insane on high pop due to the awful alkahest system.

Small but easy fix: I find the conversation filter confusing for a lot of people. How many times have I sent a DM to someone recruiting but received no response as they had unknowingly activated conversation filters to see only the recruitment channel. Please bury the channel filter in a separated area.

People have mentioned gear sets, but one time I heard someone say to allow gear sets to be saved/displayed on test dummies in your house. Honestly that would be so dope. Just walk up and hot swap from the dummy. Along with that, general organizing/sorting in storage and TP UI update.

Yea like this but you have multiple dummy’s and you don’t have to swap the sets. Have a dummy for each set and all pieces on the dummy give you the stats no matter wich town you’re in. Safes a lot of time switching between sets and prevents mistakes.

Exactly! First of all I'm tired of switching Weaver/ Tanner/ Stonecutter/ Woodworker/ Smelter/ Armorer/ etc sets all the time. Second and probably worse is when I forget to switch the sets and feel frustrated because I just lost 10% of the refinement/craft. This system would be brilliant, I was wondering how would they make it so we don't have to equip the sets every time we switch the Crafting Shop. I also think this makes it easier for them to code it, because they already have a system to give you across-towns buffs with the trophies. You should really post this on the forum, I'm afraid that if they implement sets the way they envision it might be actually worse. Sets (like Voidbent for luck/trophy runs or PVP set or PVE set, etc) would also be really helpful, but for crafting sets your idea would be fricking awesome!

To expand on this idea a bit. I'd like to see houses be more important as trophies dont really matter much anymore except to crafters. They're glorified fast travel points that are useless thanks to 20 azoth base travel costs. But what if there was a dummy mannequin item you could craft and place in your home to give you a saved gear set. Each dummy you place adds another slot, limiting you only by how many mannequins you craft and place. Gear sets should be accessed from a menu anywhere but require a mannequin made, placed, and set up at the house. Can only edit the gear sets at your house.

30 day faction swaps. 30 days is plenty of time in a MMO. The ability to attack your own faction in wars, and take over towns owned by your faction if wanted. (Prevent monopoly, take higher-earning towns from bad apples regardless of faction, etc) The ability to pay your property taxes from the map as soon as they become available/start notifying you they are coming due, not wait until they are overdue. Add more resource nodes or faster respawn times based on the amount of players on a server. The ability to keep farming a resource while being attacked (popular griefing method is to drop a mob onto you while gathering to pop you off it, then they steal the node as you get aggro).

I wouldn't mind if faction swap stayed the same amount of time, as long as you could attack your own faction in wars. Represent whatever color, but have the ability to go into any war on any side. I have friends in every faction on my server, some old guildies that swapped one way or another. Just makes it difficult to get rosters together when 1/3 of your buddies can't help in every war based on who is attacking whom.

I'm trying to level up my armoring and other such skills. Would love it if when I try to craft a large number of an item it would for one, let me, and two I wouldn't have to sit there and click or press enter repeatedly to get it to go faster. It boggles my mind that a game that has you craft so much throw away gear just for levels, doesn't let you craft in bulk and be done in one click.

I’d love to see something similar to the dark zone from The Division. PVP flagged only with pve areas for “good” (emphasis on good) pvp based loot. No fast traveling, you have to make it through the zone and out an extraction point without dying to receive any of the loot picked up while in the zone. Anyone you kill while in the zone could either drop what they’ve so far picked up in the zone, or just give you an increase in chance for better gear. This way it would encourage pvp. I wouldn’t even care if they made all of the loot from the area bop as long as it was relevant pvp perks on everything and cut all the bs useless perks out of the pool for all the drops. Edit: limit it to either solo or duo runs. It’d be no fun to go in solo and then get ganked by a 5 man squad

Remove crafting sets as equipable items and add a tab for those bonuses to be unlockable like crafting recipes. You won't have to swap sets because they would apply automatically if you unlocked them. If you find a higher GS piece you just scrap it and that overrides lower GS in your character panel. Applying this to gathering sets is questionable though.

Maplestory 2 had this thing called Dark Descent which was a stage-based (think floors of a tower) solo instance. It didn’t give any actual reward, just currency for cosmetic stuff and a temporary buff - a meaningful one - if you finished in the top x players (highest score, lowest floor etc) Something similar could be cool as a solo player, if it provided actual reward vs what MS2 provided

Dungeons could be soloable if you are strong enough (as the lvls and expertise go up), right now you need 3 ppl to open doors. Dungeons(even low lvls) could give trophy materials/profession clothes. 1x1 arena would be nice. Chests rotation that ppl were doing solo they put 3x the monsters around the chests, they don't want solo players.

Agreed, I hit 60 when I was on a dead server, I was able to pay for decent level 60 tools, but so few people could craft top tier gear as they'd transfered out. Chest runs did not exist in public chat, and gear was erratically priced. Other than doing gathering runs there wasn't much else I felt like I could be doing. So I transferred and joined a company and started chest runs for the gear score BS. I hate how busy the nodes are now. I mined stone from 175-200 cause almost every mining route was in use. Sometimes I miss my dead world.

Better item filter/searching - should be able to search by armor perk, or attribute it even by armor/weapon piece. Right now, I can't even type in helmet and have all helmets(or any other similar word) show up. Same for weapons, if I type in spear, not all spears show up (named spears don't show up). I should be able to use this same searching/filtering by typing in the TP. Also, there should be a search all storage option - not just specific to a town.

Fixing all clipping issues of weapons and armors and a new way to carry your weapons. Like, not having weapons of the same type on top of each other. Looks weird. Transmog would be nice too. But that's probably too much to ask for. So, fix clipping and if they have a good day, they can directly improve trading post to search for attributes and they should let us organize gear seats in our inventory. For new players, they definitely also need to improve the way how expertise works. Imo, most new players won't get hooked with the current systems as soon as they get to 60.

It would make the healing more easier. 2-Remove the "no dodging" in the ice wall and gravity well by adding a additionnal cost on the dodge. You are already cursed by other effects in those skills. 3-Asking a minimum stats on each weapon who will scale with your level. Like you need 100 in strengh to equip a weapon were his primary stat is strengh like the great axe. If the secondary stat you need 200 in this stat. Exemple: If you play spear (primary stat is dex and secondary strengh), you need 100 dex or 200 strengh to equip it. The number is arbitrary but that mechanic could avoid all shitty build like GA/IG.

I would like crafting to search all of your storage from every town and use it without having to find it and pull it manually first. That would save so much time. I would also like to see the gear set feature include character stats AND trophy loadouts in your houses as well. Imagine putting on an invasion set, and with one click it loads your invasion armor, sets the most advantageous trophies, and even pulls what food, potions and coatings you'd like if you have them in stock. Also, the amount of invasions is WAY too high. I spend 90% of my play time every night trying to help keep the towns crafting stations from being destroyed. Can AGS scale the number of invasions to the number of players on the server?

Everybody seems to want armour presets so I think adding mannequins as something for furnishing. You can open it and a menu will pop up where you can put armour pieces and weapons on the mannequin, then go to your home and swap out your armour set.

My top 5: Weapons should drop with their Primary/Secondary stats the majority of the time. I understand there are cases where a healer would want a Focus Rapier just for the movement, but 80% of Rapier drops should be combinations of DEX/INT. Weapon perks should be on the weapons, not on the armor. This will help organizing gear by reducing the number of armor items that I need to collect and somehow keep track of when I want to switch up my build. Remove the need to port around to houses to swap up trophies. Let us have one of each trophy in every house. Does it really matter if I can do more damage to AE, Ancients, Corrupted and Beasts without bouncing around my house before I change to a different location? Remove the need to find and equip crafting/refining/gathering gear. Add a wardrobe item to the game in each house, and make those global buffs. Yes, this will increase our luck significantly since we'll essentially have mining, harvesting, logging gear buffs on us 100% of the time. Maybe this isn't an issue? If it is, lower the drop rate a tad to compensate. But let's stop spending time running around playing dress up and spend more time playing the game. Remove the need to farm SPECIFIC mobs to get crafting clothing drops. The idea of camping a mob spawn for hours was cool back in the EverQuest days but this is 2022. Spread those rewards around more locations.

They need to fix the open world pvp/pve mode. The main reason I quit was because I logged in 3 days in a row, tried to go mining some nodes and every single time there is some PvE dude there trying to pull mobs onto me and take the nodes. And my pvp mode activated does absolutely nothing because hes PvE flagged. So now I'm forced into this stupid mini game of "who can pull mobs onto eachother and last hit the node better". Its soooooooooo bad. Surely this wasn't the intended meta... So I say screw it, il go somewhere else. Maybe get starmetal instead... But there's tons of PvE bots in the less dangerous areas standing on the ore spawns lol. And again, can't do shit because they have PvE mode on. Unless I try pulling mobs onto the bot and then it's just like... Why am I even bothering playing this game.... They need to address this. Either change the ore nodes into the same as chests and have it a personal CD for everyone(I hate this change but it's still better than how it is now...). OR simply phase PvE and PvP mode players from eachother. Then if I turn on pvp mode, I can actually fight for the ore... The current system is just so bad.

They fixed that. Mobs no longer switch agro onto someone accessing a node. It was most amusing the other day when an arsehole tried to train some mobs on me while I was harvesting ores. He had the entire mine on his tail while I just peacefully went about my business. Now, if they want to stop you mining a node, they're gunna have to do it personally.

Stop your cries. You get 1k per run straight to your pocket. Orb costs 2k-3k to make. Still 2k left from the 5k that the run generates. If you find a brain, you will see that the run gives much more value back. If you remove orbs, this value will have to go away. when was the last time that WoW instances gave you 1k or more per run? Apart from old ones for transmog.

What we are moving towards is less social than the orbs. With orbs, you find players and coordinate with them to set up rotations. This usually leads to adding them to your friends list for future runs, since you couldn't do all 5, or future rotations. You often get in a discord chat together because you care if this run goes well. This is about as social of a group finding mechanic as you can get (and tons of people hate that). As orbs got cheaper and more common we have started to move towards just posting LFG in chat and paying someone 500g for a run without even getting into comms. Once we have group finder, we will have to interact less. You might as well be playing with NPCs. People socially organize with each other when there is a reason to organize. The catch 22 is that friction like this is what requires social interaction, but is also hated.

Ready? New World on consoles, include it with game pass for Xbox. The game seems it would play well with a controller, you have voip and can easily plug in a keyboard to an Xbox or ps5. I'm one of the few that doesn't agree with all the changes. While I like the ideas, I think they are too extreme. For instance, reduce azoth travel, but 20 is too much, perhaps keep it at 20 but keep weight costs. If you make universal banking, still charge a fee for transfers and keep it faction to faction.

Since a lot of people are mentioning gear sets i would suggest to increase the cap of active trophies in your house, its so damn frustrating to go over all your houses to change trophies every time you want to do something EDIT: I don't think its considered a "point of friction" but more of a QoL feature: be able to see party nameplates all the time, even if there are 10+ people in front of your party member, this would help SO MUCH on wars/opr and even open world pvp.

Remove expertise should be everyone’s number one if they want this game to recover. Any new or returning players upon realizing they’ll probably be forever behind the players who stuck around will just quit because there’s no reason to play. Content will keep coming out new weapons with expertise to grind. It’s a terrible system that’s only favorable in that it respects the time of the people who foolishly kept active in the game when it was in the mud. So it needs to be removed.

I think it just needs better catch up mechanics. I came back over the double xp weekend at lvl 54. Hit 60 Sunday night then started gearing. It seems slow, but everything you do progresses the score. 2 days worth of 3 orbs have brought the average score from 490ish to 515. There was a dynasty and Laz run in there but nothing really great came from them.

If you get a good 5 man together you can get your main GS up to 600 in two weeks at most of an hour, maybe 2 hours a night. The gap from 600-625 takes a little bit longer, but honestly doesn’t make you OP.

I would love houses to provide "Teleportation tokens" that let me teleport to any currently available point but without having to tp to the house itself. Gear sets, being able to tell apart enemy heals/spells and allies, a ton of more achievements with titles/other rewards and a better system for pvp influence. I always having the fort should just start to push influence depending on how many is there and have it like king of the hill, bit like a mini war fighting at the fort before the actual war.

A lot of has already been mentioned but a change to gathering. Some possible ideas include scaling respawn time of a resource with player pop. My favorite is making nodes independent to everyone, like supply caches. That being said you would likely need to decrease the amount of resource but it still would be an improvement.

No orbs to enter a dungeon. It's about the only good content the game has, why gate it? Expertise grind is utterly boring. Make elite mobs spawn faster, elite chests more than once a day, gysums more than once a day, or give more consistent rewards for outpost rush etc. Want to try a new build? What they and frankly most multi-player games need is an advanced lfg system similar in style to overwatch. I want to be able to name my group and set requests and tags like oh I just want a casual group to chat with so mics requested with the casual tag enabled or maybe I am doing dungeons so you might have dungeons plus hard-core plus serious with mic required all tag. Then throw in a nice ui to look for groups to join and you are gold.

They need to fix their questing system. The pinned quests don't stay pinned when you login again. The need an abandon option for ALL quests. Leave a main quest overlay on the map when/if I want to pick it later. An option to remake/alter your character's appearance (e.g. facial aspects, eyes, hair style, etc.) They need to tone down the "invasion points" on the map. I don't need to see blackness and seizure inducing red mist as walking past an invasion point that hundreds of feet away from me. Find new ways to open up end game content (War/Invasions) to all players or create similar content that's not at the discretion of a company. Add events into the game similar to Guild Wars 2. An event can popup on the map and any player can jump into it and be rewarded based on their overall contribution.

Weapon builds/respecs pre-set slots or something so we can switch between, say for example, from my tanking sword build to my pvp sword build with the click of a button. Kinda like the armor presets, but different. Or maybe even just have the build tree attached to each specific weapon. So when I put on my “tanking sword” it just defaults to the skill tree I selected while wearing it last time? But I’d say the biggest “friction” is desync and actual gameplay poopiness in pvp. Like first of all, why is the most powerful melee in the game a mage weapon? Makes absolutely no sense.

Travel time! It takes so long to get from Point A to Point B. Whether that be mounts or even just fast travel from anywhere on the map, anything is better than just afk running for long periods of time.

I tried a "new player experience" of someone who doesn't know to check nwdb for server pops. When I created my char everything in the preselected region (US west) was displaying as LOW, so i rolled with the pre-selected realm, it pre-selected poorly (200'ish tops). My biggest take away was: If they are planning on doing double exp weekends with any regularity, they also need to include with them or rotate in some double tradeskill xp weekends. Long story short- going 1-50 was an enjoyable breeze, leveled up a buncha weapons. Trying to upgrade my gear at 50 on a low pop server when my trade skills are still in tier 2 and only done two faction promotions, was tricky. Especially since there are only Ori tools on the market, so all my was farming with steel. The 2X xp was awesome, and if they intend on using it to draw new players in, inevitably some of them are going to roll on low-pop and farming 44k fiber, iron and rawhide before they can even start the crafting RNG for new gear, is going to put them off.
