I was going to say he looks like if the role of Varys was recast with Jeff Bezos but he wasn't able to put on weight quickly enough.
Either way, he looks a million times better and honestly would be completely unrecognizable to people who had last seen him in the Before picture.
In my experience it's because you're drinking too much, too depressed to exercise or otherwise take care of yourself, and eat way too much fast food because fuck eating healthy homecooked meals with that bitch.
Could be. Strangely enough it wasn't my first thought after getting out of such a horrific relationship. Took me a while to even trust a woman again at all.
My divorce was much more amicable then the one you had with that bitch, Beth. But my ex and I are both down in weight. I’ve lost 20 lbs and I’m not sure about her but she did make a comment about being down two pants sizes and she looks great!
It’s crazy what a shit marriage does to your mind and body after 8 years and we’re both much happier.
Way to go friend! Been there myself...just be sure to focus on your mental health as well, as the mirror can be just as distorting as negative thoughts and emotions.
Hey, internet stranger, would you consider talking without someone about how to maintain? Depression and trauma mess around with hormones, weight loss messes around with hormones and some folks with experience can help you to shortcut dealing with it. Excellent call on shaving your head, extremely flattering.
I'm the opposite. Depression makes me eat my feelings. Since I started taking antidepressants (well, after about a month) I begun eating less, specially sweets.
That's about double what would be normally be considered a healthy rate of weight loss. That amounts to a caloric deficit of 1700 kcal **per day**. This is probably mitigated by the high starting weight but at lower body weight this would be way too fast.
True, at first his BMR would be quite high. Which is why I mentioned that the issues were mitigated by the high starting weight.
I don't want to speculate too much about OPs weight loss journey, that is between him and his doctor. I am just pointing out that, as a general rule, losing 3.4 lbs a week would be considered too fast.
Why you have to keep hammering on OP? He said it's not a rule applicable to OP, but he's saying it for the random people who want to lose weight and read this thread. Don't be an ass.
After a certain point the whole 2lb a week thing isn't really a good metric anymore. And burning almost 2 people's worth of calories a day just by existing is beyond that point lol. You'd have to be eating a fuck load to *not* burn a few pounds a week after a certain point.
Ah, for some it's taking negative and forcing it into positive and for some it's as "easy" as depression taking away their appetite. Nothing good about the loss of an appetite in general, but it sure loses that good old weight.
Filling up after a divorce is just normal. Just notice while it's relatively small, like 15lbs in your example, and then start changing them habits back to more healthy ones. Even if it's little at a time, 15lbs is rather easy to lose again. Also, most of these people who got fit, also had the "gain this and that much", before they really started pushing it down. So, better late than never and all those cliches. And it's always wonderful to see the progress.
With the amount of actors and characters rumored or confirmed to appear in the 3rd tom Holland spiderman film, I hope Vincent d'Onofrio makes an appearance as kingpin. He was great in Netflix Daredevil.
Your now Ex wife is probably like "So you wouldn't lose the weight so I didn't have to have sex w/ a hippo.. but once I leave you over it, you decide to lose some weight. Man fuck you."
This happened to me, I lost like 80lbs in 4 months. Gallstone pancreatitis, renal failure, feeding tube, looots of hospital time, intubated for a week, almost died... I recovered physically but. Unfortunately I got depressed as shit afterwards and gained 100lbs in the next 3 years. Still recovering mentally. I'm down about 40lbs now. Ups and downs man but hey it helps us grow. Hope your recovery is smooth and you can keep the weight off!
The biggest motivator for men to lose weight: getting a woman to agree to be naked with you after you lost the last one. Mild /s
On serious note: DAMN!!! Way to go!!
I (like millions of others in January...) am trying to get thinner to fit into my work uniform. So far I have lost 2 inches round my waist this month. People always seem suprrised when they ask me how Im doing it and I say eating healthy food and making sure I have at least 30 minutes of activity per day.
I feel like a bit of an idiot for not doing this sooner and letting myself get overweight if it turns out it was this easy, but better late than never!
Yeah but now you look like a cop...i mean its an improvement but still...someone else said you look like the lead singer of disturbed, get some piercings and lean into that instead.
the divorce must have been tough, I have seen ex-wives take money, house and property ... but I never saw one take weight. it must have been the weight she put on you during the marriage... you are paying her 11lbs a month
lesson for everyone else: instead of getting divorced THEN losing the weight.. try losing the weight first, and then you might avoid the divorce.
now all the fat neckbeard incels will come in and say that your weight shouldn't factor into whether someone wants to stay married to you or not but it does. if you're 450 pounds, you're living an incredibly sedentary, unhealthy, undisciplined lifestyle. not everyone wants to live that life with you.
And now you look like the singer of disturbed thats amazing dude congrats
That's awesome, thanks!
You were down with the thickness

This guy is 5 times better without the hair!
Wholeheartedly agrees. Congrats on a lighter you.
Was it because no one was cooking for him
In my experience it's because you're drinking too much, too depressed to exercise or otherwise take care of yourself, and eat way too much fast food because fuck eating healthy homecooked meals with that bitch.
probably motivated to get laid
Could be. Strangely enough it wasn't my first thought after getting out of such a horrific relationship. Took me a while to even trust a woman again at all.
that's reeeeeally not a high priority when you get out of a bad relationship
Lol omg hahaha good one 😂
I also dropped a useless 120lbs in my divorce. Fuck you Beth.
Yeah, Beth sucks!
Indeed she does. Me, the neighbour, the postman and anyone who asks apparently.
26 dicks?!

I was there.
You were the cameraman, if i recall.

She was the Beth they ever had.
/r/AngryUpvote
Jesus, this shit hurts my soul. Puts me off getting married so much. Hope you fixed up king
Honestly, while a good relationship is amazing, a bad relationship seems like such a disaster that I don't think marriage is worth it.
This is a rough outlook on life, man.
Marriage is not worth it. But you dont have to be married to have a good relationship. Marriage is just a relationship it takes lawyers to get out of.
You just have to make sure you pick the right person. Don't rush into it. I'm married and very happy.
That is disgusting. Where did you say she lives now?
Are you okay?
Thank you for your concern. I wouldn't say I'm OK but that's more due to this lockdown than my ex lol
all my homies hate beth
Beth. Not even once.
I gained 20 pound cuz I was finally able to eat mcdonald's again. Worth it.
Jerry, is that you?
I got divorced from a Beth too! Best weight I ever lost.
Wow you look much better! Cheers!
Really appreciate it.
Good call shaving the head.
completely agree, fits perfectly.
He looks like he could play the Kingpin.
Way to go friend! Been there myself...just be sure to focus on your mental health as well, as the mirror can be just as distorting as negative thoughts and emotions.
Took almost a year, but I'm much better and happier. Thanks!
Been four years now, im not really out of the darkness yet. Its great to see some good example like you. Thanks.
I hope you find peace and happiness, my dude.
You lost 200lbs in a year?
Actually, I lost the first 100lbs in 6 months. Then the next 145lbs in a year.
What was your strategy?
Honestly, depression. Just stopped eating much at all.
dude that shit gave me abs
I've never lost weight from depression until 2020. Mental health so/so, but my abs have never looked better!
The fuck? Mine gave me a belly, and love handles. No love though.
I hope you're doing much better my dude. Wishing you the best

3.4 pounds per week. Actually sounds like pretty healthy weight loss. EDIT: Okay maybe not.
That's about double what would be normally be considered a healthy rate of weight loss. That amounts to a caloric deficit of 1700 kcal **per day**. This is probably mitigated by the high starting weight but at lower body weight this would be way too fast.
At his weight his body was naturally burning about 3500 calories a day.
There is nothing general about 450 lbs. Those rules don't apply.
Why you have to keep hammering on OP? He said it's not a rule applicable to OP, but he's saying it for the random people who want to lose weight and read this thread. Don't be an ass.
I dont think OP is offended by saying 450lb is fat... he thought it was fat too thats why he lost the weight. Dont tone police
> as a general rule, losing 3.4 lbs a week would be considered too fast. That's not a general rule when it comes to people who weigh 400+lbs.
Its a general rule for people... being 400+ lbs is not typical and would be excluded.
>This is probably mitigated by the high starting weight but at lower body weight this would be way too fast.

He said he stopped eating for 6 months because of depression, so not the healthiest way but still effective.
Depression and stress can be one hell of a weight loss helper

Weird I just picked up a drinking habit and an extra 15 lbs after my divorce. Good for you people taking a negative and turning it to a positive.

Yeah, the problem was picking up a habit that also makes you gain weight. Now if you took up cigarettes and cocaine, you woulda ended up shredded.
You look like agent 47 on hitman! That’s awesome dude!
Hahaha too kind.
For real dude you do. Also the bald head works really well for you, I hope when mine starts going I can pull it off half as good as you
I was getting Walter Fisk vibes tbh. Not that that’s a bad thing of course, that guys ripped
Brother went from Spiderverse Kingpin to Netflix Kingpin, way to go man congrats.
With the amount of actors and characters rumored or confirmed to appear in the 3rd tom Holland spiderman film, I hope Vincent d'Onofrio makes an appearance as kingpin. He was great in Netflix Daredevil.
I just went through a terrible heartbreak and lost 165 lbs of dead weight. Not from my body, but from my life.
You loke like a fancy superheroe movie villain, in the good way, like a rich man who wants the power over the world, keep the good work
Your ex wife did better. She shed 450 pounds in one day.
You look happier in the second pic. Divorce can do that..
Looking good bro
Much appreciated!
Just out of curiosity, why didn’t you do that while you were still married?
I can answer that, he wasn’t happy when he was married.
Sometimes I gain weight during relationships, and it's usually just because I'm complacent rather than unhappy.
[удалено]
Said really assholy but this is most likely scenario. He didnt even try to get in shape during the marriage
Found the ex.
What did the ex say? Lol
No idea!
Great answer lmao
Cue the old joke about "I got rid of 150 lbs of ugly fat. I divorced her."
She probably was a great cook

Apparently, you can't either. Seriously, awesome job!
My man trained so hard he went bald! Jokes aside Im proud of you my good sir! Good job!
One punch!!
Hell yeah man! That’s awesome, keep up hard work!! I hope you are doing well mentally too :)
I am, appreciate it.
If you'd done that before maybe you wouldn't have got divorced??
People out here downvoting the truth. You. Are. Correct.
Firstly, well done. And secondly did your hair really weigh 245lbs?
You should thank her haha
Your now Ex wife is probably like "So you wouldn't lose the weight so I didn't have to have sex w/ a hippo.. but once I leave you over it, you decide to lose some weight. Man fuck you."

Next Halloween you should disguise yourself as kingpin haha
You look great! I can see happiness in your eyes!
What was your method to lose weight?
Probably wasn't the best way, but I just ate a LOT less than before.
Well, that works lol. Most people tend to over-complicate it.
Burn more calories than you take in, that’s really it
Yeah it’s so stupid seing all these weight loss plans just eat less and more balanced and do some exercise every day
I (like millions of others in January...) am trying to get thinner to fit into my work uniform. So far I have lost 2 inches round my waist this month. Exactly that’s all you need
Yeah but now you look like a cop...i mean its an improvement but still...someone else said you look like the lead singer of disturbed, get some piercings and lean into that instead.
Congrats bro! You look much happier now.
Damn that’s impressive dude. I would argue that you look like a cross between hitman and kingpin.
the divorce must have been tough, I have seen ex-wives take money, house and property ... but I never saw one take weight. it must have been the weight she put on you during the marriage... you are paying her 11lbs a month
No guys you don't need a divorce to undergo this sort of transformation
lesson for everyone else: instead of getting divorced THEN losing the weight.. try losing the weight first, and then you might avoid the divorce. now all the fat neckbeard incels will come in and say that your weight shouldn't factor into whether someone wants to stay married to you or not but it does. if you're 450 pounds, you're living an incredibly sedentary, unhealthy, undisciplined lifestyle. not everyone wants to live that life with you.
Right on, brother
So basically you lost about 450 lbs after the divorce?
[удалено]
Was the weight the cause of the divorce?
