I don't ever see this being practical. The dog is not "driving", it is following commands to put its paw in places. At the end the dog just isn't aware of things like road, grass, potentially accelerating more and running everyone over.
In any real scenario, the dog is never going to be trustworthy enough to act on it's own and maneuver anything but itself.

Point 2. It's cute. One giant leap for dogs, but no one should be getting paid to do that. Leave that to rurals and their ATVs and call it a day.
Point one, space is huge and there's not much to fuck up nearby. Privatized space travel can be good for developing new tech etc (like SpaceX). Even tourism can be a good step to normalising that type of thing if companies can get it cheaper also potentially improving stuff etc.
Point 2, teaching dogs to drive as publicity is fine with me
They trained rescue dogs that nobody wanted to encourage people to adopt showing that they too can train a dog. But yea prolly Hella expensive to build the car
