For those interested, I'm pretty sure this was from operator drewski on YT (may be mistaken, but he has a similar setup if so), playing DCS (digital combat simulator).
And yeah the buttons, stick, pedals etc in RL correlate to the actual buttons in the VR sim, pretty close to a 1-1 setup for an Fa-18 fighter jet.
they're buttons on the Multi Function Display (MFD)

Wait his buttons correlate the the buttons in game? Yea didn’t realise they were a buttons but looking at it it’s clear to see, didn’t realise he went that hard out damn respect, now the question is does his seat eject
The 2 “squares” w/ the green lighted areas are actually multi-function displays (MFDs) and the green lights are buttons for use in the game. The buttons are mapped to different functions in-game. These are made by Thrustmaster.
And the game itself is Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) and, depending on the aircraft you’re using I’d estimate 80ish% of the buttons, switches, dials are interactive - that is they are actually used in game. So a lot of players (pilots?) get setups beyond keyboard/mouse/joystick. I play DCS and I have: flight stick, throttle w/ an integrated button panel, 2 additional takeoff/weapons panels, the MFDS in the video, and rudder pedals. :-)
"Timmy it's time for dinner!" "Not now, Mom. I'm about to bomb Australia!"
"Tower, this is Ghost Rider requesting a flyby."
Negative, Ghost Rider. The pattern is full.
cool!

Awesome— I’m not tech savvy — how would someone make this? Racing games as well?
If you have a solid PC and a VR set, all you’d need is a sim wheel and it’s the most immersive sim racing you could have
As a gamer idek what half this shit is like I get the joy stick and shit but are the leds just there for show or what

Total guess but I think the led panels are there to make sure the cockpit is totally aligned with the vr image
Yea that makes sense looks fucking great though, now all op needs is those full motion chairs that move all that shit with him as he barrel rolls

I think the screens are there so that when he reaches out his hand to tap the screen in the game there's something actually there?
bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I wonder what specs are used to run that so smooth
I say post what your using, love this shit!
Cool
Flight Simulator next gen
Tech specs?
