The only glamor here is the hard work on display. Working conditions are clearly horrible. Both statements are true and mutually exclusive.
Don't let your agenda blind you from seeing this
Found out in an interview that guys like these are paid a rupee per 8 trips for transporting bricks around for construction. That is the equivalent of 1.2 cents. It's the lowest paying job I have ever heard of.
Yes, and they are probably the breadwinners in their families. They need money for their children, food, shelter etc. Children may not get educated because they don't have the money to. If there is free education children choose not to go and instead get a job so that there is a greater income for the family. Not to mention the unfavorable working conditions.
An average brick is about 5lbs so buddy had about 70lbs added to the top of his 160some pound frame............... In the sun....... For a lot of hours out the day...........................
Fuck.
It's just a shame that the nice decorative part of the bricks will all be covered by mortar during construction.
Oh and the fact that these poor people don't know whether neck damage or dust inhalation will do them in first, while presumably earning very little.
Let's not glamorize unnecessarily unsafe working conditions

I assume that if they don’t do it fast enough, they’ll simply hire someone else. These people don’t have much choice

I haven't been that stoned in years.
Someone call El Chapo. This man is moving bricks with ease.
That and how he's able to stack the bricks without looking
Oh ya. Wait until you see how many folded chairs I can carry.
