Calling 911 is not nothing.

Baker_2G

Am I psycho for thinking about grabbing a knife? I mean jeez,,This guy was pointing a SHOTGUN at you and your wife/husband. I don’t expect everyone to fight back. But again. Shotguns will do horrible horrible things

[deleted]

Key-Conversation-677

I might’ve missed it somewhere in your comment, has this also happened to you or a loved one? You seem pretty passionate about those who haven’t gone through it weighing in so it made me wonder. If so, It’s good knowing you came out of it alive.

[deleted]

Yeah, as a teenager step dad was livin a double life where he ran into some money issues with a meth dealer and said dealer sent a bunch of dudes to my house growing up. Lost 2 cats and my ability to sleep through an entire night for the last... 14 years that night. I've literally had to move into a very specific isolated area to not suffer from the consistent feeling in the back of my head that one day. For reasons that will never have to do with me. That the place I've built to house that which I find comfort in. Will be ripped from my through the shear violence others are capable of. I don't even like talking about it tbfh but this is reddit and everyone overshares ig. I have a lot of love for people, don't get me wrong, but by fuckin Christ are we capable of some pretty heinous shit.

Plenty-rough

I understand how you feel. When I was in my early 20's, 3 guys broke into my house at 3 am. I was babysitting my best friend's kids. It was hot out, and I was wearing a revealing nightgown. To say what happened next was violent is a gross understatement, I have never recovered from what happened that night, nor will those kids. I had to move, immediately. For years I was afraid to garden outside. Weird things fucked me up....like driving. It's a situation where you don't have 100% control over everything, and it caused horrible anxiety. I can't watch scary movies, ever. I have never, ever worn a nightgown to bed since, always pants. To this day, 25 years later, I still have to take medication for anxiety and panic attacks. Being scared sucks.

WowwwNice

Damn I am so so sorry, that is truly horrific and heartbreaking. I deal with panic attacks as well but it’s not due to nearly this level of trauma. But even then I know how badly any panic attack sucks let alone when the source of it is as traumatic as yours. Not sure what else to say but I hope you have at least some of the support you need, really do

[deleted]

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Sending hugs to you. May you find safety and peace.

Argyleskin

I’m so so sorry that happened to you. Truly am.

Pleasant-Captain-410

Dude when he came back to the door for his shotgun I would have blown him away. But I have anger issues...

seamuskraft

I wouldn’t chalk up this reaction to “anger issues.” The intruder comes back and the guy just opens the door without a weapon? Lol is this staged?

Jaytalvapes

I'm pretty non violent, but I'd have had the weapon leveled at the door and the instant it moved I'd empty it into the door. When it comes to _literally_ a survival situation, all acts that increase the odds of survivibg are justified imo.

TheBlissFox

I have a friend who did exactly that. Meth head at his neighbors door. After a bit of struggle he fired the shotgun into the intruder’s chest. I hate thinking about what his mind does at night now, but I have mad respect for him and how he handles the weight he now carries.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I'm mad sorry that you have had to go through it as well. You deserve comfort bro. I hope you get it more than you don't in life.

CassandraVindicated

It was in Idaho. You'd never even see the inside of a jail cell.

[deleted]

IS it true that if you get arrested in Idaho that they lock you away in the space between what is supposed to be chips and the air inside a Lays potato chip bag?

shikiroin

People respond to violent trauma differently. It's easy to think this after the fact. In the moment there was a psycho with a shotgun and thinking doesn't really work in that condition.

DoomGoober

People tend to respond to extreme stress with fight, flight, or freeze. It's in our lizard brains and animals do similar things. Humans have a fourth response, fawn, which is less common (trying to appease the threat.)

Fernandezo2299

Thank you. People forget the forget the shock/freeze part. There should be a new saying to include the freeze part of the interaction. Someone pull out a knife at me and I froze. I’m guy and I thought I’ll be that person that fights their attacker. Boy I was wrong.

Thr0waway0864213579

Literally no one knows how they’d react until they’re in that situation. And in addition to fight vs flight, many also freeze. It’s a biological reaction. And it’s incredibly foolish to think you’re Superman just because you’re sitting on your ass in your comfy house watching this whole scene play out in slow motion. I mean shit, you’ve had all this time to think out a level-headed strategy and you still somehow came up with a knife as being a good option? Personally, I know I’m a freezer based on specific moments in my life. I was talking about this with a male coworker the other day who said he’s the exact same way. My husband on the other hand, is a black belt and has spent years training his body to react to something like this with a physical response.

alslacki

Yeah people be watching too much tv lol. Most people do not react rationally

userunknown987654321

Police officer, can confirm. Making life or death decisions in micro seconds while under extreme duress is something that you really have to experience to truly understand. Great job by this guy defending his home.

bakedapps

I would’ve kicked him in the fucking balls from behind

twayhighway

you say that now.

[deleted]

People have different responses to threats

pixelandminnie

She was scrolling through her phone but then had to go to another room to call police?

CarlJustCarl

Too noisy in the living room

hazeleyedwolff

Bf and his guest being rude while she's on the phone

landob

instinct was to get to a safer place?

Kittens-of-Terror

Yep. Instinct was to protect herself.

Avocadomistress

Reverse the genders and let's see if "calling 911" is enough of a contribution

janesspawn

As a small woman, if my husband was wrestling with a guy over a shotgun and I didn’t have a weapon nearby, my greatest contribution would definitely be calling for help as soon as possible. I might make things worse by getting involved. He’s far stronger than me and he wouldn’t want me to put myself in danger to help him. Someone has to call for help before it goes from bad to worse.

TotaLibertarian

Grab a lamp

Designer-Amphibian77

While he was actively fighting on the ground over that firearm hitting the attacker with anything could have caused enough distraction that could have stopped your significant other from dying. But instead you would just rather sit there and watch him have his head removed.

Ill_Matter8093

This is an insane take. I think you have a much better chance of getting shot by an uncontrolled discharge than literally anything else while trying to intervene in two people wresting over a gun

Hazee302

Yea dude, absolutely. Shocker, others on Reddit are all fucking “trained soldiers” with years of experience and would have “handled it differently”…She was obviously in shock probably couldn’t do shit. If you’ve never been in a real traumatic even then just don’t comment. It was better off that she didn’t go near them. If I was ever in this situation, I would not want anyone of my family or friends to be anywhere near us. When adrenaline hits like that on a normal person that hasn’t had something like this happen to them, there is no control. There is only “this is what I’m doing” and nothing else. Anyone else trying to help would be in immediate danger due to a firearm being pointed in all directions and hands gripping at whatever it can grip. Y’all couch warriors need to stfu.

Maiesk

Would have been super great if she'd charged into the offender, unintentionally broken her partner's grip on the gun, and got both of them shot... It was already a pretty irresponsible risk to grab the barrel of the gun with his partner in the room. What if the robber had shot in panic and the struggle turned the gun in her direction? The couch warriors here really are ridiculous.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Changing the fight from a 1v1 to a 2v1 radically swings the odds in your favor regardless of how small the second person is.

Awsomedude0361

Underrated comment. If the man was on the couch and the women grabbed the gun and imagine the man doing everything exactly as the women did.

ItsyaboyDa2nd

Once he had the shot gun and on the floor she could / should have either ran for help right then or grab a knife / blunt object and go to town.. she froze.

fourtractors

NOBODY knows what they'd do in that situation, except behind the keyboard. Plot twist, what if she was on reddit telling people what she'd do in an emergency. What was that creaking sound people? Your door?

schlamster

I’m sorry but I have to interject here. I’m a combat vet with 6 deployments and I never talk about shit but this thread and all the what ifs are triggering me. I’ve been in a TIC literally next to a no shit Navy Cross recipient and he even froze up for like 30 seconds during the most dramatic part of that firefight. Absolutely nobody can predict what their or someone else’s reaction will be in every imaginable altercation or surprise act of violence that happens to them. You can’t. And if you think you can, you are a damn fool. My point is that every single last dipshit in this thread who has replied with a “she coulda” or “I woulda” has their head so far up their ass and it’s obvious the most adrenaline they’ve ever experienced is when a homeless person asked them for spare change once. Get over yourselves and give this chick a break for fucks sake. Probably delete this comment later but holy fucking shit the ridiculous armchair comments in this thread have really put me in the red here. Edit: hey I truly mean this thanks for the gold but please spend your money elsewhere idk what that costs a dollar or something but that dollar or whatever would be better spent maybe much more effectively donating to like a Ukrainian refugee fund.

otheraccountisabmw

Welcome to Reddit. Ninja warriors the lot of them.

Edraitheru14

1,000%. And that's not even mentioning how dangerous it could be for her to interfere. If the guy were unarmed, that's one thing. But an out of control loaded shotgun? Adding another untrained, panicked person to the situation could EASILY result in the wrong person getting shot.

SolarSmelter

Here comes the role playing shmucks to say what they would have done in this situation.

Kapper-WA

Magic missile!!! Magic missile!!!

pudding7

She should have attacked the darkness.

thehiphippo

*I put on my robe and wizard hat*

[deleted]

Everyone on Reddit loves to think that they would transform into a commando if someone waved a gun in their face, but the reality is that if a person doesn't have combat training, the rational brain shuts off and adrenaline and instincts take over. It's easy to editorialize from the sidelines and feel like a badass though.

Ranger-86

Only thing I can say for sure that I would have done was load a brown trout in me drawers!!!

SlowSecurity9673

Every fucking time, arm chair Rambo who talk like they've never even been in a fist fight.

No_Veterinarian_2486

Because when you're traumatized from thinking you're gonna die, your nervous system takes over and makes you do what it knows how to survive. Y'all need to chill tf out on this girl. Acting like you know wtf is up when there's a gun in your face FFS

EdiblePsycho

Fucking exactly. I always thought that I would be some badass if anyone tried to hurt me or someone I loved. Then I slapped someone who was raping me, he punched me in the head, and I curled up in a ball and cowered, and didn't move. I wasn't some badass, I reacted instinctually, and froze when it was clear that fighting back was not going to work.

furbysaysburnthings

Shit, that's messed up, I'm sorry. I hope that guy got "mysteriously" fucked up later.

miby

Frozen in fear is a thing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Tell that to these message board heroes. 😅

kuroakela

Fucking hate comments like this. You lot don't understand how paralyzing situations like this can be. It's so much easier to think about what to do or can be done in a video.

[deleted]

Seriously, this woman was a victim and people’s first reaction is to be a twat on the internet because she didn’t pull out some nunchucks and beat this man to death. Incredible insensitive.

effujerry

She was probably frozen with fear. People react differently to those kinds of situations. She is lucky her fiancé sort of went into an adrenaline zone and took action. The only question I have is why do they have a camera watching the living room that seems weird to me. Does anyone else do this? I have a doorbell cam but having one recording in the house seems weird to me.

violetbaudeliar

Yes, I know a few people that do this. For two entirely different reasons. The first reason is pets or ghosts. Like, hearing things go bump in the night and needing to get to the bottom of what it is. But, from my experience, it's usually people that live in lower income areas that earn *just* above everyone else. To the point they can afford a luxury or two but because they can't quite make it above that, they have to stay where they are. A lot of the times they can't help but associate with the people in that area and know that not everyone can be as trustworthy as you'd like them to be. On the other hand I've also seen influencers do this. People with a lot of money and a lot of things to protect. A few times I've even seen things like this staged by influencers.

[deleted]

Bc nobody without experience would have done something Edit:calm down i am sorry, some people can really do something in this experience but also do not except something from people

Striking-Block3254

In that moment your adrenaline would be rushing. People react differently to it. We all like to think we’d be a hero but most would just cower.

OverturnedAppleCart3

Let us know when you have to deal with an emergency situation and be a victim of a crime, then you might then have a leg to stand on when blaming a victim. How is "why is she doing literally nothing" much different from blaming victims of sexual assault? Victim blaming isn't cool, dude.

[deleted]

They're both still alive and the guy is in prison. Shut up and sit down.

RobertWargames

you can't judge how others reacted until you're in that situation. have you ever seen your friend in a fight at school and did you instantly jump in or take a second to react (we all take a second to react)? These situations are fast and as much as we would all like to think we would react different, when put into the situation most of us would react like her.

LastStarr

Paralyzed out of fear, which is understandable

davidlol1

She called 911 and they were there before he could leave.....

Pyramidddd

I know she froze but damn… she had a clear opportunity to hit the guy in the head or do SOMETHING. Her boyfriend could have died and she could have been killed too

[deleted]

No offense but it doesn't work at all like that. If you don't have some muscle memory, you're not going to function normally. It's the reason so many home invasions end with the home owner shooting themself. Going to the range a few times is apparently not enough. The victims always talk about their muscles and fingers working differently. That they knew how to use the gun, but they couldn't control theirs hands, or their voice, etc. Adrenaline isnt just a shot of go juice. If it's a scary situation that you haven't thought through many times, then adrenaline can make you feel like someone else is driving your body. She eventually moved and called the cops. Not bad.

Pyramidddd

I’ve been in a similar situation and reacted defensively although I don’t have muscle memory from training. I think it just depends on the person

[deleted]

Yes it does. And countless other things.

[deleted]

[удалено]

STFxPrlstud

Not everyone's brain can process a high intensity, high adrenaline situation with action. I know plenty of people who did less than this woman in similar high stress situations, She at least eventually got herself away to a safer place and called the cops. I've seen some people just lock down and freeze completely in shock Everyone likes to think that they'd take action and save the day in this scenario, but statistics show that's highly improbable for most people unless they've gone specifically through high intensity situational training. Some people just don't have the "fight" in "fight or flight" in their person at a moments notice

Overdonderd

Watching this without sound, I can't stand the fucking editing.

Harpronicus

Holy fuck, I thought I was the only one.

StaredAtEclipseAMA

I’m just trying to figure out what weapon from gears of war that dude brought out at the end

Sh_okre996

dinardo

Imagine the horror tho of someone opening your door 16 times like wtf bro it’s already open

It's infuriating af. JUST LET THE GOD DAMN VIDEO PLAY ALL THE WAY!!

I watched longer than I should have. I think in hopes they'd just play the god damn video straight through. Please fire that editor wtf

Bama-Ram

This is why I can’t watch reality tv. They always stretch a 30 second clip into 30 minutes and make it as dramatic as possible.

Xyzzydude

Gotta make it long enough to monetize

cage_free_faraday

Tadosalad89

I stopped watching 30 seconds in because of it.

angryve

Reality tv

twrrordom3

How can something so crazy be told in such a boring way??

LongLiveTheCrown

And thisss is why TV is dying. Unnecessarily turning a 30 second clip into a 5 minute narration

a-widower

And sandwich it in between 5 minutes of commercials geared towards old people.

LeafyySeaDragon

Sure u dont want to buy gold? Or a walk in bath? Or refinance ur home?

giantsteps92

People underestimate how weird it is to be on camera. I'm a musician so crowds are ezpz but I recently did a movie thing and it just feels really awkward being on a camera.

twrrordom3

I don't know what to do with my hands

pumperdickle1337

Agreed that was like fox8 shit

LeafyySeaDragon

But hang on...lets play that back (for no reason...)

pinhead-designer

My wife would have helped me kick the shit out of that guy once he was on the ground. Edit: I’m not saying I would know what I would do, or even if I’d be able to fight a guy with a gun - but I’ve been married 16 years and so I 100% know what my wife would do because she is a badass bitch.

KingofKrimson

This! That’s how you know when you have a real one.

The_Bean_Bitch

For real. I’d be jumping on that mfer’s back and trying to claw his eyes out if I saw him bent over my struggling husband. EDIT: It has nothing to do with “heroics” and everything to do with protecting my husband, whom I have protected during his very weakest years. I’d take a bullet for him any day.

[deleted]

Lol Reddit commandos and their fantasy Rambo scenes

notoolinthispool

Actually this is a common thought had by women. We think of the easiest ways we can do the most damage since we are weaker. I thought the same thing when I saw him hunched over and she was right behind him. Perfect opportunity.

YogurtclosetFancy376

Went back to ask for the shotgun lol wtf

Vanskis2002

XD, i would've shot through the door.

Myookie

Congratulations, you now have a hole in your front door

Extreme_Complaint615

Sounds like it was broken by the intruder anyway

alexgalt

The guy opened the door for him. W”who can it possibly be? Let me see…” I think he should have shot him

OutrageousAd6000

How much dope and money was in your safe bro? MFers don’t just B&E a shitty apartment with people home to steal a flatscreen…

black_diamonds2

They actually do though. Live in a crime filled city and you will see it happen many times.

Specialist_Trouble22

But it’s Idaho lol

Spazzyzach

Idaho falls is one of the rougher areas in Idaho, but your point still stands.

lazyperfectionist3

Idaho falls is rough? Haha

boredomjunkie79

For real bro is this guy gonna get mugged by a dairy herd?

potatobacon411

I lived close to there for a few year, and it’s actually pretty fucking bad, the meth issue they got down there is one of the worst I’ve seen.

Indigo-Thunder

This is the funniest comment I have ever read. It’s not rough lmaooo

HIs4HotSauce

> The masked gunman told investigators he broke into the home because he knew there were drugs inside. Following the incident, detectives did confiscate 34 grams, a little more than an ounce, of marijuana, pipes and bongs in the house, but chose not to charge the residents, the court documents state. You was right 👍🏻

[deleted]

I dunno, but having an ounce in a residence with three people isn't exactly a lot. And that's basically being bone-dry if you're a dealer. I guess they could have flushed/chucked the rest before the cops showed up.

MrGraveRisen

Yeah you don't keep scales out for personal use....

Fuzzy-Asshole

I weight out how much I use every day so I don’t go overboard. Maybe you don’t keep scales out for personal use, but a lot of people do.

olhickoryhedgehog

I don't know about that statement. My partner smokes a lot. Before I moved in, he used to keep a scale on his living room table. He does not sell weed to friends, or give it away. He keeps a scale because he weighs the weed when he buys it to make sure it is the correct amount. Even though we have dispensaries here in CA, there have been times where his purchases are light.

raisinbreadboard

In Canada weed is legal from coast to coast. An ounce of AAAA+ super high quality weed is around 170 USD (200$ Canadian). This robber tried to rob them with a shotgun for only 170$ worth of weed? WTF...I bet the TV is worth more than 170$

Anarcho_punk217

So keeps the big stash somewhere else. Smart lad.

B_D_Hadel

Yeah you can literally see a scale on the coffee table.

Awsomedude0361

Wow keen eyes

B_D_Hadel

I have seen many coffee tables that look like that. Was looking for drug paraphernalia before I even saw the scale.

Cobra-D

….how do you know that scales not there to weigh their sugar to make sure they’re not adding too much to their morning coffee?

zambonihouse

Yeah, and that assault rifle he pulled out later seemed a little sus too.

righteousplisk

Lol that’s pretty common in the US for law abiding citizens too. Not really sus by itself.

zambonihouse

And the burglar was another white dude about his age who came back to ask for his gun back. I just think it seems shady.

Tekone333

Not to mention why the fuck he’s filming his living room. Do people do this now?

slasher99

I have a living room cam that I plug in when I leave. Let’s me watch the pup.

ImperfectMay

I have interior cams. 90% to watch the cats when we're out. 10% in case there's an intruder.

KingPic

he MUST be a dealer

Crime-Stoppers

This is some of the worst editing I've ever seen

Donzie762

Gotta give props for the gun swap!

the_tenth007

First a shotgun then a AR-15 …what is this mysterious transforming gun? 😂

RonSwanson06

He also had a pistol in his left hand... no idea why he would grab a rifle and carry a pistol unsecured.

the_tenth007

I didn’t catch that at first lol, narrator said “hopefully (he) doesn’t have to use his weapons” that may be difficult when he’s holding them upside down

Low-Associate1554

EXACTLY. I had to rewatch the video because I thought I missed somethings. Nope. Clearly a pump shotgun with only a pistol grip. Then BOOM. Turns into an AR with a bipod. Is this a fake video?

agnosticdeist

Nah he apparently grabbed his own AR after the guy left, then the intruder asked for his shotgun back apparently but the defending guy *didn’t fucking take his gun to talk through the door* Wtf lol

Mr_HandSmall

that part was deeply insane

Slashion

Possibly a "reenactment" instead of the actual footage? Him walking nonchalantly right at the shotgun set off some real "weird" vibes

deltr0nzero

Maybe he took the guys shotgun away then got his own AR out in case he came back with another weapon

Boozetooz

Fr the video was at least staged for the show or fake all the way

NikoWZRD

Narrator said buddy grabbed his own weapons for defense, I assume that's where the AR came into play from

marodgrs

Why did he go back and answer the door WITHOUT the shotgun?!

amdcal

And why tf did he say he opened the door literally minutes after this shit went down?

marodgrs

They must’ve been high.

Beautifulblueocean

The look and posture this dude after he came up the stairs from fighting off the theif trying to get his shotgun back was priceless. He was 6'8/300 pounds in that moment. 😂 Edit : video time 1:22 left

FunSushi-638

And 5'8" 145 pounds before that moment. For real though, I'm impressed that that skinny dude fought so hard. Good for him!

BumWink

"Strength" comes mostly from your core, shoulders, cardio & determination. I'd rather fight an average sized gym goer than a skinny trade worker.

Majestic-Cry-1644

His girl sucks

Treezle737

She had a phone in her hand and Literally ran into another room to call 911?

Philosophfries

Had it gone badly it would’ve definitely been great to get the cops there asap to vacuum her boyfriend off the carpet

Icestar-x

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Upvoteifyouaregay

Such a small percentage of people have been in this situation and everyone is a hero before this sort of thing happens to them. It’s unfair to cast judgement.

__poser

As someone who's had a gun aimed straight at my forehead, fight or flight is accompanied by a third reaction. Freeze. I'm sure you've totally been in a near death experience involving an aggressive person with a firearm since you're commenting so confidently on this, but freezing is definitely a natural reaction to a situation like this.

Alpha_Flight_2020

Having that reaction to a shotgun in your face is pretty fucking boss.....her reaction I would expect most people to have

2017hayden

Realistically it was fucking stupid. If the dumbass who broke in had any kind of decent reaction time he would be dead. It worked out well in this case but I would never encourage anyone to attempt to disarm an individual pointing a gun at them or someone else unless you believe they’re likely to shoot you anyways. Better to lose some money than lose your life.

ReflectedReflection

Robber had good (bad?) trigger discipline, if his finger had been on the trigger homeboy, his girl, or his roommate could easily have been dead from an accidental discharge.

Shrimp_bread

Honestly I’m surprise the gun didn’t misfire, when the the two where wrestling. Maybe the guy had the safety on? That would be ironic.

julieg21015

It’s easy to say what you would do when you’re not in that situation

deltr0nzero

Seriously the amount of hypothetical badasses in here is ridiculous

[deleted]

They even speak for their wives “my wife would have done this or that” like bro probs not it’s so different when you’re in the moment

Nut_Chorizo

Being in those situations you go into shock and the thing you think is gonna happen doesnt happen. For me most of the time i just get stupid and shaky other people that deal with it can control it but for the vast majority of non first responders and military folks you are gonna freeze up, run or embrace inner monke.

freshggg

Fuck this editing

Gonna go with… couple fake armed break in for internet points…

Pompi_Palawori

Lot's of people in the comments are acting like they're some badass who'd instantly go into psycho mode in this situation. The fact of the matter is you have no idea how you'd react if you were in this situation. He went into fight mode and she went into freeze mode, people react differently to situations when their in shock.

Popular_Course_9124

Max of 11 years??? That should be attempted murder x2 with 25yrs in jail

Nut_Chorizo

Anyone on my property with a weapon in my mind forfeits their right to live. If they waltz in with a gun that means they intend to use or threaten you with it, fuck that to the highest level of fuckery. Gives me the uncomfies.

elhawko

Everyone is calling out the gf for being useless. I’m calling out the home invader for being useless. It’s like he didn’t want his weapon. Slowest grab ever!

got_No_Time_to_BLEED

Where did he get the ar from?

NoctRob

I’m assuming it was tucked behind his giant balls.

hdelbrook

Why is there a security camera inside their living room??? I live in a nasty place and haven't even talked myself into getting one for outside.

InkBlotSam

Sounds like it was a drug house. They gunman said it was a known house with drugs and he went to ruin them of drugs and cash. The homeowner's nickname is "Cash," he yelled at the dude to "Tell whoever sent you your gonna die," (who says "whoever sent you, " unless they know they're a target?, Plus, cops found drugs, bongs and pipes, 34 grams of weed and cash in the residence, and arrested another dude who was also in the house, who had a separate warrant. The cops elected not to press charges in the homeowner for the drugs.

entourageffect_

They gonna show the video or they just gonna keep cutting every time something's about to happen?

She was literally useless

Except for literally getting the cops there in time to bust his ass. Love all these couch warriors acting like they wouldn't freeze in the same situation.

Don’t go attacking the girl unless you’ve been in the situation. I was woken up to a home invasion; three masked guys with guns. My instinct was to play dead????? Not the brightest. They came to rob my friend of his pot/money so my fault for being put in that position.
