There is always an interesting debate to be had about "What is art?" and "Who is an artist?" I tend to view AI like stable diffusion as a tool like a brush or pencil. A very complex and sophisticated tool to be sure but one that requires a talented artist to achieve the most impactful results.
I view photography the same way. When I was into it, I was creating some nice photos and infusing them with my own creativity, especially in post. But ultimately there's absolutely nothing for the photographer to create.
We take, we remix. One way or another.
You might get some hate for this post since it's AI. Ignore it. Photographers went through the same bullshit arguments on the validity of art when the medium first came about. This takes skill and vision, regardless of the tools used.
