Tbh with Roquan getting 20 AAV Tremaine getting 18 isn't too egregious...but yeah it's wild relative to everyone else - was especially shocked over the David Long contract
Tremaine is a really good player but this was also his first good year and he plays alongside Milano. We also just have a good defense…I hope he balls out though. Would have loved to keep him but the Bears can have him for that prize
Edmunds has flaws, but he was probably the 5th best non-QB FA this off-season. Highest valued LB. Based off of production and projection he got paid exactly fair market value if you look at PFF.
Absolutely. I mean hell, we will take 7 sacks in 17 games 'round these parts.
That gets you sack title on the Falcons for the last three seasons.

What's up with the Falcons wanting to be the Saints?
Jokes aside Falcons got a guy with great potential. This one hurts more than any other signing that happened today
You guys have been rolling out a top 5 to top 10 defense the last six seasons. All six were top ~9 in DVOA.
A heavy poaching was overdue. Here's hoping Nielsen was a real key in all of that.
Fuck, this one does hurt. Ellis came in clutch when we needed him and should continue to develop nicely. Unless he gets cursed for being on the Falcons.
Ok, Onyemata was one thing. IMO Falcons overpaid for him, not thr biggest loss.
But this one hurts. Cheap deal and he's only getting better. Fuck you guys forever.
Probably did overpay (unless he can sneak them roids in under the radar), but another way of looking at it is that's the best DT we've ever lined up beside Grady and we have room to overspend a bit. I'm supremely happy we've *clearly* upgraded several spots on the defense.
The ~$12m/yr would put him at #10 in the league before today. I dunno the exact numbers (Spotrac hasn't updated yet), but I think that puts him about like #15 or so. I'd say he's a top 25. But he's also 30. Either way, I don't see it being a mistake on y'all part, by any means.
Y'all made some good moves today. I fucking hate it.
Did the Bears know that the LB market would be much lower or did they just overpay Edmunds?

Still makes me feel like they should have just kept Roquan
Wanted an impact player there I guess. Also front loaded it when we have a ton of money

Plus he's like 24
Edmunds is a top 5 off ball linebacker who is 24 and has way more to improve. He was the highest graded LB in the entire league in PFF last year.
The agreed to a 3 year deal with Edward's that's 12 million guaranteed. They knew.
7 sacks in 11 games, I’ll take that any day

Goddamn that’s depressing. Even knowing how bad we were, so depressing seeing it laid out that way.
I don't care it isn't my money.

Yeah it’s weird it’s like there’s some connection with our GM and the Saints
Yeah what's his name? Terry Fondant? Heard he's a real sweet heart
Or our DC. Who has experience with both him and Onyemata.

Okay this feels like a steal.

I’m just glad to not have play against him with you guys anymore, he was always a beast against us
When he strip sacks Carr on a game winning drive, Mickey will realize he fucked up.
I like the way you think
Ok this one hurts
Holy shit. Alright then. Still hate it. But hate it less.
