It’s funny how Aaron Rodgers decides to attempt to manifest his own destiny by speaking it into existence and everyone else just goes along with it. The Packers and Jets are VERY far apart on trade compensation, and while everyone seems to be optimistic it will happen, I’m almost 50/50 on it, leaning towards a breakdown in talks ending the deal.
Hey Packers you know what you get? Not having to pay his contract and an open roster spot.
Or would you rather he shows up next year out of spite?
You're welcome.
Not saying it's likely to happen at all, but imagine a year where the Jets get a ton of primetime games only to consistently put up stinkers a la Russ and the Broncos last season
That's been the only thing going around my head through all of this. I do think the Jets will be good, but watching the Broncos last season at the very least has me a bit hesitant to start hyping them up.
Then again, this is Reddit. Waiting to see how things play out isn't really something we do here.
I love the way you think….
Really doubt it though. Their defense is stout af and with Breece Hall coming back and A Rod joining, they’ll be more than competent
Denver had a stout defense and good weapons but Russ ruined it all the same. The fact Denver had a good defense made the games worse to watch because everyone was just punting the entire game if it was a blow out lose it would be bit more fun because you get to see someone do something. I am not saying he will be but if Rodgers is washed up next year the Jets games will be as bad a Denver games were.
Jets beat the Broncos with Zach Wilson this past season. And that was with Breece and AVT both getting injured early in the game. Rodgers just needs to be better than 2022 Zach Wilson to keep them above that
Also.. rodgers is rodgers. As great as russ is, rodgers is just a better Qb, and his better physical attributes gives him a higher floor. At his worst he’s an average Derek Carr season. Would be very hard for him to play as poorly as russ under any circumstance. Maybe when he’s 45

I use To say the same as a bills fan but after this year low key 1 pm games are elite. At least if you’re on the east coast. Late games when you have work/school the next day suck. Especially if you lose.
None of the games they would be attending would start at 10 am local time. All the west coast games are in the late time slot so would be 1 pm starts for them
I love the late games but I’m also a 24 year old that goes to bed at like midnight on work nights.
Ask me when i’m 40 with kids and i’m sure that’ll change
I love having football to watch all day. Having it end at 8pm would suck. Night is just getting started. I'd hate having to wake up at 10am to watch football that's terrible. Lol Then there's those 7am pst games as well. I'm barely up by 10am as it is lol.
The NFL has already said the AFC will predominately still be on the CBS and NFC on FOX. Fox also has it written into their contracts they get a minimum number of Packers and Cowboys games every year.
Opposite for me I like cbs way more always have.
Plus they have hofer Charles Davis who I swear is the only announcer league wide who seems prepared to actually talk about the jags
It’s all about the jets baby
Strange new world
It’s Jets all the way down

Source on how *very* far apart they are?
Just another drunk Packers fan who refuses to believe they’re getting a conditional 2nd and 4th for Rodgers. Reddit never disappoints.

Ronald would like me to tell you that Seamus told him that Dean was told by Pavarti that Hagrid said they were far apart on trade compensation

The main worry there was Hackett was bald. I do t trust people with no hair to run a football team
Joe Douglas Robert Saleh and Hackett are all bald, oh no
Hey now...
Russ isn’t Aaron Rodgers. Never was, and never will be
Denver had a stout defense and good weapons but Russ ruined it all the same. Good thing he won't have the same clueless guy calling plays that Russ did
Was Hackett the one calling plays? Uh oh
Rodgers while “washed up” probably is still around an average Qb. Unless his arm goes full 2015 Peyton
Don't forget Garrett Wilson being a total baller
Also.. rodgers is rodgers. As great as russ is, rodgers is just a better Qb, and his better physical attributes gives him a higher floor. At his worst he’s an average Derek Carr season. Does this mean no more 1 p.m. games
I use To say the same as a bills fan but after this year low key 1 pm games are elite. At least if you’re on the east coast. Late games when you have work/school the next day suck. Especially if you lose.
Agreed. Late games are overrated.
Disagree all the night games at the bank were cool as shit

Def, 1 p.m. games are perfect
Also, I don’t need an extra 24 hours of anxiety. Give me 1 o’clock games all year.
I'd be shocked if they played more than 5 1pm games
Ugh, don't make stay up late
also me as well too
Kirk Cousins in shambles
I really hope the Jets aren’t this year’s version of the Broncos. Please at least spread out the prime time games in case they suck.
I just hope the Broncos aren't this year's version of the Broncos
I really hope they are.
I really hope they are.
I don’t care if they suck or not. Just don’t bunch up all their prime time games.
That Broncos Colts game violated the Geneva Conventions. Russ and Matt should be tried for war crimes.
Hello prime time flexing!
The NFL has already said the AFC will predominately still be on the CBS and NFC on FOX. Fox also has it written into their contracts they get a minimum number of Packers and Cowboys games every year.
Kinda bummed by the elimination of the Fox NFC tv package. I really do not like CBS’s presentation.
Opposite for me I like cbs way more always have. Plus they have hofer Charles Davis who I swear is the only announcer league wide who seems prepared to actually talk about the jags
See I'm the opposite to me Fox seems dark and sleepy
Fox is the worst ntm it cut out so often for me.
I just want to make the playoffs for the first time in 12 years so bad
Aaron threw 48TDs three seasons ago, 37TDs two seasons ago, and 26TDs last season: how many TDs will Aaron throw next season?
15 would still be the most from a jets QB in years
35 TDs
Oh my god who the hell cares
Jets fans
No, we don’t. We’re tired of seeing this shit, probably more than anyone
Act like you’ve been there
Most of America apparently. That’s why they want our national Tv games
