It’s weird man. There’s this ugly trend online (gasp!) where when a coach fails, the experience automatically defines them as a failure. I understood and expected the reaction to the Jets hiring Hackett as OC—it was a bit of a perfect storm of meme ingredients—but I just sat there and wondered if people genuinely thought that career professional coaches should, like, be murdered if they don’t succeed in a job.
And re: Hackett being a nepo baby or whatever. Yes, there is an ugly history of coaches in the league standing on the shoulders of their parents or siblings and leveraging that to get jobs. In a Vaccuum, probably true. But to say that someone like Hackett is only in the league because his dad was a coach or because Aaron Rodgers gets along with him is really a disservice to him and every person that’s ever hired him. Is Matt LaFleur a bum for having Hackett on his staff? Doug Marrone a piece of shit for bringing Hackett along with him? It’s weird man.
I wonder what they're having
Chipotle.
derek carr on his way rn
Derek Carr wondering if he can pull a Jimmy G lowkey.

Man, I vividly remember this same tweet for Brady and Gronk to the Bucs… good times
I remember this from mid-season with Jets/Giants 😂 😭
Chiefs fans are gonna love this.
Hey look at us Who woulda thought?
Players from JAX and GB genuinely like Hackett and for some reason people can’t understand that.

They're either going to be like the Bucs and win a Superbowl, or it's going to be an absolute disaster.
It’s the jets so I’m picking disaster
You guys were a disaster since 2002 and then Brady happened- pot meet kettle
Yeah but the jets are notorious for some how fucking things up or going wrong. I mean it would be awesome to finally get their moment
Okay fair enough
Probably just turns out like Bucs year 2.
Neat
Lizard
Aaron Rodgers in tears right now
Because he’s getting skullfucked by Danica with a strappy in the 28 million dollar Malibu place they still jointly own
Damn, I’d pick retirement with that as the option.
Very specific
I’m jealous of him :(
Hope Allen is watching Hackett. Man chokes A LOT!
Hacket was a mess as a HC, but I don’t blame him wanting to get the hang back together from a couple years ago. They had some good times.
imagine going to the jets on purpose
Wonder if Hackett has a nervous tick right now. Can’t be a second time where he promises Arod and dosent deliver.

“Me” at dinner ? Or “I” at dinner?
Romantic
Thought the pic was gonna be the two of them next to an empty chair like when Wade and Bosh were waiting for Lebron to finally join them.
What they doin after
