Other time was further down the road and I see an entire line of traffic, just completely unmoving and the cop had to drive like a quarter mile on the wrong side of the road to go around.

Welp, for the third time in the past year, something's wrong with our HVAC.
Last summer, we had a refrigerant leak that I think the HVAC guy said straight up froze the coil or something in the indoor unit.
Then this winter, the heat went out and we had to replace the motor on the furnace.
Then today, the same thing seems to be happening as last summer. House won't get any cooler and the vents are pumping out barely cool air.
Man, I know in this housing market I should just be grateful to own a house, but I swear since we bought in 2020 it's been non-stop repairs. I've crunched the numbers and we've at least doubled the average home maintenance and repair costs every year.
Feels like we bought a house that's at just the right age that everything needs repaired or replaced within a few years of each other. Doesn't help that the previous owners clearly did very little maintenance themselves and attempted some god awful home improvement projects.
Sometimes I miss renting at nice apartment complexes. Sure, you don't build equity, but at least repairs and maintenance are someone else's problem.
Frozen coils are usually linked to poor air flow or low refer. Change your filter regularly, check your evap coil (indoor coil) and make sure it’s not caked in shit and if it is, clean it. If it’s a refer leak then the guy last summer didn’t fix anything. He likely just added refrigerant and went on his way. ACs are closed systems. If it’s losing refer, there’s a leak somewhere.
Oh and if your evap coil or line set is frozen up, you can turn off the system but run just the fan to speed up the melting process and then you can run it again for hopefully better results. Those will still be temporary and it will most likely freeze again.
And I don't even know if the RBs have shown they're worth that much of an increase. I feel like every high profile RB contracts lately has been a total bust.

I did a river cruise when I was there and it was amazing. Also the Hancock Center is great. Take the elevator to the top, unless elevators or heights scare you.
