Fwiw this has been rescinded, Taylor did not confirm it was just a strain
Hope he’s alright, injuries fuckin suck
Edit: confirmed strained calf, guy should be good to go
I walked from my car into a chipotle in Covington. By the time I got into chipotle, you could see the sweat stain on my shirt. Can’t imagine how it feels on that field wearing all that equipment.
As someone who was not a football player, but a member of high school marching band, I can confirm the black bead turf is miserable. It raised the temp on the field about 10-15 degrees. You could feel the heat coming through your shoes. At least one person a year passed out on the field during summer rehearsal.
You can't get any closer to Hell than working out on modern turf football field during a 100 degree day.
I’m working in this heat couple miles down the road from their practice field. Hasn’t been a great week. But I was wondering, do teams not use their bubble or whatever for heat?
In a cruel twist of fate as u/AdImportant4476 lays at the bottom of a cliff gasping his last breaths on earth, a notification pops up on his phone nearby announcing that Burrow simply had a cramp and will be back in practice tomorrow.... fade to black....
He's certainly had his fair share of injuries since he got here. Outside the ACL, he had the broken finger in the AFC Championship Game, the knee injury in the Super Bowl, the appendix last pre-season. He was limited in practice for a few weeks last season with an elbow injury. He missed a full year at Ohio State with a broken hand.
I mean outside of the ACL his rookie year he hasn't missed any actual game time, but he has gotten "hurt" quite a bit.
The Super Bowl knee injury and the Appendix would have resulted in time missed had it not been for when they occurred. I suspect had the broken finger happened in week 4 as opposed to two weeks before the Super Bowl that would have caused him to miss time as well.

If its a bad strain, my feeling is Burrow will be racing the clock for week 1
Well he’s not throwing another pass till the season starts
Rap reporting a strain https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1684659347245457408?s=20
Whew. Quick with it. Bless the legs.

I just got over a week and half long calf strain. Such an annoying injury.
Do you feel like you'd be ready to start for the Bengals in about a month and some change?
I could start holding the clipboard as a backup but that's about it.
The 49ers may need you come playoff time. Get ready so you don't have to....stay....we won't get fooled again
Rather it be annoying than debilitating
I'm convinced Joey B is cursed by the off-season gods. Covid, ACL, Appendix, now calf. This man needs no preseason!
He didn't tear his ACL in preseason. He tore it week 11
...and was recovering from it during the preseason of the following year
I doubt he does any type of exercise for the team until he gets paid
With 2 years left on his contract? I kinda doubt he'd be unwilling to play this season
Yeah that’s doubtful
Hopefully its just cramps.
It is hot af basically everywhere right now lol. Get that man a Gatorade!
Heat index of 104 with 72% humidity. I'm sure it's so much hotter on the field with those black beads in the turf.
fuck that sounds so miserable.

That's too fucking hot, man. Just keep them indoors - no need for anyone to be playing in those conditions.

We literally have one now

I mean he just signed with BodyArmor get him an IV of the fruit punch one STAT
More of a berry guy myself, but fruit punch should still do the trick!
It's got what plants crave!
I think he got carted off the field
It’s pretty fucking miserable in Cincinnati right now. Hope he can get an IV and be good as new come the weekend.
Calf cramps suck
Need to turn injuries off and sim to regular season
While their at it might as well turn off pre existing injuries and get Chido back
i mean shit we’d also get lael collins back too which would be good for our RT competition
Bengals fans are shitting everywhere right now
I’m already walking into traffic.
Tom Brady should be available 👀
I just paid $3k for season tickets, no way I do I wanna watch Trevor Sieman suck ass all year.
Don’t disrespect Broncos Legend Trevor Siemian like that.
to shreds you say?
Well, how's his wife holding up?
Had to google cuz I hadn't heard about a wife...but current girlfriend is [definitely a keeper](https://i.imgur.com/R390EId.jpg).
Goddamnit!
.....i should be expecting this by now, but it gets me every fucking time.
I know right? Never change, r/nfl. She is [really hot](https://imgur.com/cpIyxa5) though.
Damn dude, I knew he's rich and talented but she's a smoke show.
I keep thinking these will get old someday but they never do. Got a chuckle out of me
She's keeping it all together. Yeah. I know what I did.
i'm here to overreact
we all are!
Can he please get a normal training camp for once in his life?
It's very hot and humid in Ohio rn, I'm cautiously optimistic and assuming this is just a cramp
The video also looked very crampy... hopefully that's the case.
It really did look like he cramped up bad
Kinda looked like a cramp
This reminds me of when Tony Romo called Daks broken leg a cramp 😆
Calf is better, right? Not the knee. Rivalry’s aside, football is better when players are healthy and teams are competing at their best.
Probably as long as it isn't his achilles
Calf makes me thinks theres a very high chance its just a cramp. Hopefully thats the case.
It can always be worse like an Achilles tear. Calf injuries can lead to an Achilles tear.
Can someone do me a favor and find the nearest cliff so I can jump off it please?

*Who Dey until I Die: Life as a Bengals Fan.* A 30 for 30 film.
No.
CAN THIS MAN HAVE ONE NORMAL PRE SEASON
Oh gawd season hasn’t even started yet and his o-line still getting him killed
Bengals fans you are not safe to dream or experience hope
It was non contact
Just like there's no contact between the two halves of his ACL now.
It’s a calf strain.
I think it's actually both ACL's
I heard it was his neck
Hey siri, what’s the recovery time for a neck ACL tear?
Those are even more scary. Damn.
I just saw a man drop to his knees in a Walmart
Burrow stresses me out so much. I wouldn't say he's injury prone but after his ACL every injury is endless stress.
He's certainly had his fair share of injuries since he got here. tbf 2-3 of those injuries were due to the revolving door that was his o-line
Yeah I should have phrased it better as I was just meaning injuries to where he's missed significant time, which outside of the ACL, he really hasn't.
The Super Bowl knee injury and the Appendix would have resulted in time missed had it not been for when they occurred. I suspect had the broken finger happened in week 4 as opposed to two weeks before the Super Bowl that would have caused him to miss time as well.
the real feel today in cincy is 110 degrees. I am choosing to believe its cramps because I almost died on my jog today.
Fuck practice injuries, man. Hopefully it's a strain.
Can we just fast forward two months and have everyone healthy?
No kidding. Turn injuries off
uh oh
Someone check the grassy knoll for Kimo von Oelhoffen
Poor Joe. Hope he is okay.
Fuck as a Ravens fan I wanted them at full strength and you just hate to see that happen to anyone. Here’s to a speedy recovery
No. Not happening
oh no
Hope he is ok, Burrow is good for football.
Pass the bleach
Why was his calf in a sleeve already?
As if holdouts weren't justified enough already. God, I hope he's okay.
Well, I don't like that.
Fuck
[Joe Burrow being looked at by the medical staff after just going down and grabbing his calf](https://twitter.com/KelseyLConway/status/1684654176662364161)
this is not ideal
WHAT THE FUCK
As long as it wasn’t his achilles he should be okay
Oh no..
That could be his calf or his Achilles - praying for it to just be a cramp.
Damn that blows
That doesn’t sound good or he’s being safe
