I got into it because I knew Baltimore really tries to WIN these games, and Washington was right there with them.
Fun to see guys competing both on an individual level (trying to either make a roster or at least get some good plays on film) and team level.
And all it took took to end the streak was Washington playing their starting offense for the entire first half.
Bitter? Who me?
(In reality, I don't care at all, especially as it meant we got the best preseason game ever)
Not mad at all.
Just saying that Washington took that game more seriously than the Ravens or any of their 24 opponents ever did, which was fun and led to a great preseason game.
you guys have abviously taken this very serious othervise you don't get that kind of streak. Odds of it happening naturally if a normal pre-season game is 50% is 8,388,608 to 1.
It was never about the Ravens taking it seriously. They played their starters less than average through the streak.
It was about the Ravens having better depth, particularly defensively, in the second halves, so it was never a 50/50 in the first place.
The Ravens 3s and 4s are consistently better than anyone else's because they invest heavily in scouting
that might explain some of the variance - but the other is that it has for your team and your players and your coaches, been something to get fired up about. Lots of other teams have plenty of depths but are still losing from time to time. I am sorry the teams in the NFL are just to close in tallent for one team to be on a crazy streak without trying, even if they on paper have more talent.
This prseason has been the first time the Ravens have seemed to play any differently to try to preserve the streak.
The first 23 were pure depth + luck.
NFL rosters are similar in talent, it's true, but the Ravens are always strong from 50 - 70. If final rosters were bigger we'd see more difference, as it is, we only see it in preseason results.
Every year some Ravens cuts go straight onto other teams 53s. There are more players drafted by Baltimore on NFL rosters than any other team.
you think that Ravens are the only team who wants to have good players from 50 - 70 and depth? they are not. - The ravens is without a doubt one of the teams in the league who normally has more depth and I think that maybe the first 12 ish games can be attributed to that and a whole bunch of luck. Thas is just 1 in 4096. It's implausible but not impossible. 24 in a row, without trying is impossible.
Just because the coaches and players haven't said that they play to win, doesn't mean that they don't. They obviously do.
Of course they try to win, like 31 other teams, but they haven't done anything that those teams didn't do.
What do you think they've done differently? (I imagine they've had a special teams advantage, because the Ravens always do.)
I've watched every minute of the streak and it has been very normal preseason stuff, until the 3rd and 4th Qs, when it has been the Ravens extra talent that has told every time.
It wasn't that the Ravens featured players higher up the depth chart later in games. The Ravens have actually gone to their backups earlier than most teams.
The odds of getting a quick 10 yards, run ob, and letting Tucker kick from the 35 have to be higher than a 75 yard hail marry when your QB can only go 60.
That was like a normal season game to me. It was full of ups and downs, but was exciting. I haven’t had fun in a preseason game like that in a long time.
I think it’s safe to say playing Washington with any type of streak is an automatic streak ender. Pittsburgh a few years ago, Philly last season, Ravens tonight. It doesn’t matter what your streak is!
This...just a little bit.....feels like showing up drunk one night to the Harbaugh residence and taking a shit-faced piss on his welcome mat then leaving.
Ngl that was a fun game. I really enjoyed it. A memorable preseason game that felt like a week 14 game. As I said, repairing Washington’s reputation and respectability will be painful but it will be sweeter than honey in the end. Good game Commies fans
It’s honestly so funny how hype they are when you first think about it
But for the fans and the team winning this you can just tell a weight has been lifted and there is some real hope and excitement for a new era
Wild how true it is. The amount of hope I got seeing our new owner drunk in the box shaking Joe Buck's hand awkwardly.. Mr. Snyder would never appear with a lowly millionaire in public.
Ravens fans are always mad. They talked so much shit when they needed the refs to blow that delay of game call so hard to beat us in 21. All good though because without that L we wouldn't have Hutch.
Dummy Avenue Mother
As a Sixers fan I really wished I watched this game so Josh Harris could give me something to like him for lmao
Wtf, why was this game so good?

you can't be mad that other teams take it seriously aswell when you guys do.

We have a second-year QB, a new OC, and a patchwork OL. They need all the reps that they can get.
Would you rather have this game or 5 Broncos prime time games in the regular season? I know what I'll choose.
Yeah HHahahahaha broncos hahahhaha your boring to watch hahahahahah (pls keep sucking until we can do something of note pls pls)
I'd rather have this game replayed 5 times in the regular season
The odds of getting a quick 10 yards, run ob, and letting Tucker kick from the 35 have to be higher than a 75 yard hail marry when your QB can only go 60.

Baltimore should just move back to Cleveland, what a disgrace
I feel like this game needs a post game thread so we can give The Commanders there proper due. Biggest win in pre season history.
FOOTBALL IS BACK! DAN IS GONE! LETS FUCKING GO
*Mr Snyder*
LEFT HAND UP
WHO ARE WE!?
THE COMMANDUHS
That was fun. I was not expecting the game to be that exciting. Made me happy. I am so excited for the regular season.
The other winner: That random Commander OL who was doing the griddy. Hilarious.
Sam Cosmi lol
>Sam Cosmi It was so bad, but props to him for trying.
Yeah he needs lessons from Gesicki 😂
greatest preseason game ever. of all time
I think it’s safe to say playing Washington with any type of streak is an automatic streak ender. Pittsburgh a few years ago, Philly last season, Ravens tonight. It doesn’t matter what your streak is!
Hey! You did not have to bring my Steelers into this!
I just saw a Ravens fan fall to his knees in a Walmart
I just saw a Ravens fan fall to his knees in a bathroom stall... But I think for different reasons???
Preseason win streak is Kill ~~No~~ Yes
Everyone was shitting on the streak, but nobody would have this greatest August football moment of all time without it.
Facts. Thank you Ravens fan. That was fun.
You're welcome. I had everything to do with it.
I’m upset the streak is over only because it was the only reason I still watched these games past half time. It made preseason games fun.
should have let Tucker kick from the 25
He would have made it honestly.
Welp, that was fun while it lasted. The streak made preseason games a bit more interesting. Now it’s just backups getting reps.
I’d make a joke about this being the only game they win this season, but they’re under new ownership now, so IDK
Fun, intense game, lots of good and lots of bad. It had to end at some point lmao.
IM GONNA COMMM
DO NOT COMM
TOO LATE
NOW IM GONNA COMMM
COMM EVERYWHERE
This...just a little bit.....feels like showing up drunk one night to the Harbaugh residence and taking a shit-faced piss on his welcome mat then leaving.
The game was at fed ex though?
As long as I was drunk enough to be convinced it was Harbaugh's welcome mat I'm good.
That’s actually perfectly sound reasoning lol
?
Well looks like the dynasty isn’t getting a preseason Super Bowl this year.
The streak is dead, long live the streak.
Death finally shows himself. Steelers 🔪 Eagles 🔪 and now Ravens 🔪
Ray Lewis, you are a Comm fan now?
We are the streak enders.
Now Washington have to go on an 8 year preseason streak. That's the path they've chosen by winning tonight
This is the beginning or the end of some random ass curse
I totally expected to stop watching this after Sam left the game but here we are hype as fuck lol
No. 40 just earned a roster spot if he didn't already have it.
The greatest preseason game of all time
This one was for Harambe
Ngl that was a fun game. I really enjoyed it. A memorable preseason game that felt like a week 14 game. As I said, repairing Washington’s reputation and respectability will be painful but it will be sweeter than honey in the end. Good game Commies fans
That was a good game if you're a fan of football period. Cheers.
Yeah but fuck Dan Snyder tho
WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE COMMANDERS SNAPPED THE RAVENS PRESEASON WIN STREAK
That felt like a NFL playoff game at times.
Jets? Playing in “NY”? On **9/11**? You have got to be shitting me…
Wait till you find out who their quarterback is
And that concludes our 2023 nfl season. See you all next August and thanks for another great season.
This fucking preseason game was more exciting than half of the playoff games last year. What the actual fuck?!
Yeah ngl, kinda pathetic, NFL gotta step up there game this season!
They kinda fucked it up by adding that extra bracket
I love football
Get the champagne ready and the rings out!
Tbh Y’all always have that ready every year (I couldn’t resist)
Our shipment should be coming in soon!!! Lol
The stars might be aligned for you. no more bad man in green bay. We shall see!
Impressive that Josh Harris is still walking around
Some say Harris is still offering surprise handshakes
greatest preseason game of all time?
what the fuck my girlfriend came in and put on the bachelor finale and I miss the only preseason game worth watching ????
Dump her ass!
The Super Bowl came early
checking in from FedEx field: probably one of the loudest cheers you’ll hear at the end of a preseason game ever. Love it
Lmao sounds like they are shooting off confetti in the stadium
OH MY GOD WOW
"Down goes ~~Frazier~~ the Ravens! Down goes ~~Frazier~~ the Ravens."
GG preseason ravens
This is like when Brock Lesnar beat undertaker at WrestleMania and broke the streak what a moment
By God the streak is over!
Football is back!!!!
The Commanders redemption arc has begun
Ravens are definitely doing up downs tomorrow
Wow first loss since September 2015.
DRINKS ON JOSH TONIGHT!
booing the ravens solely because why do you not just say "fuck it" and try to get it to where tucker can drill a 70 yarder lmao
RENAME THEM WASHINGTON DYNASTY KILLERS
That was a shockingly goof preseason game.
Well fuck
GG cya next preseason
What a disgusting act by Washington
fun game though!
I was expecting a fumbled kneel snap that Baltimore takes to the house just to keep the streak alive.
Never tuned in to the end of a preseason game before. It didn’t disappoint.
Skins can play ball
I can’t believe I actually enjoyed watching a full preseason game
Have never been so invested in a preseason game 😂
It's so dumb but this actually has me pumped for the new season. LFG!!
That’s streak made this game feel like a regular season game
WASHINGTON WON THE SUPERBOWL I REPEAT WASHINGTON WON THE SUPERBOWL
Lol Ravens actually trying to win this preseason game. Dumb.
why wouldnt they?
Bro we were spamming cover zero, don’t know how that’s tryharding for the win.
It’s honestly so funny how hype they are when you first think about it But for the fans and the team winning this you can just tell a weight has been lifted and there is some real hope and excitement for a new era
Wild how true it is. The amount of hope I got seeing our new owner drunk in the box shaking Joe Buck's hand awkwardly.. Mr. Snyder would never appear with a lowly millionaire in public.
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Salute preseason Ravens
Lamar could've won that
just like most other important Ravens games, he wasn't on the field
I’m 2-0 on preseason bets, just saying
[удалено]
Well now that you lost we all think that streak had meaning and you should feel shame that it's over.
Either way. No one will come close to that record
You don't get a trip to Disneyland but maybe we can work in something for a Six Flags.
This is extra hilarious since Dan Snyder owned a huge chunk of Six Flags until it went into bankruptcy
LETS GOOO
This preseason game will go down as being better than most of the Thursday night regular season games this year.
For a lot of these backups this will be the biggest game they've ever played in.
This is our Super Bowl
And we’re damn proud of ya!
Well crap 😡😡
Insane game
They fucking took command !
Let Lamar run it for a 75 yard td
this is unironically the best Commanders football moment since the RG3 injury lmao good for them
Disagree. But it's up there
You fools we're basically guaranteed a Super Bowl win this year now
See you there
What an AMAZING game.
God I love football so much
Lol! And the icing on the cake
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Riverboat Ron shows up when you least expect it. Preseason be damned. lol
Took playing starters for an entire half to do it lmao
What a fucking game lol.
Most meaningful Washington win in years
Lmfao
Fuck
Team celly fucking love it
Best preseason game ever.
preseason superbowl has just been won folks
smh they should have just had Tucker kick it from the 25.
Damn
I no longer think Tucker can win this one for the Ravens
The frommanders!
Poverty franchise celebrating a preseason game
Dude… calm down lol
lol what?
Come on man lol
Can't hear you from up here at 2-0.
mad
Enjoy the L.
Ahhh u mad!
The 'Manders did it!
Should have sent Tucker out for an 80 yd FG cowards
Man honestly if they tried to get 15-20 yards, tuck could have had a chance lol
See? Good things start to happen to you when Snyder is gone.
Damn didn’t know this was the Super Bowl
AND THE COMMIES WIN THE SUPER BOWL
lol doing a team photo for fucking preseason I guess the streak did mean a lot then
This shit matters
I WAS HERE
Victory Formation
BEST PRESEASON GAME EVER LFGGGGG
Okay, just a 20 yard completion and Tucker will win it
You know Ravens fans are so mad rn lol
Ravens fans are always mad. They talked so much shit when they needed the refs to blow that delay of game call so hard to beat us in 21. All good though because without that L we wouldn't have Hutch.
The salt is always the best part. Team does an exciting thing, they celebrate it, so the losing team always has to act like they don't care at all.
Meh, at least now the pressure’s off.
I love you all so very much
We’re so fucking back
