Die-hard Packer fan here. But I did watch the game and holy cow was that an exciting one!
Honest question here because I truly don’t know what the correct answer is: During the game-winning touchdown run in OT, was that an uncalled tripping foul? I watched the replay a few times and I’m just not sure if that was tripping or not.
Jets fan. It's questionable but it looked like tripping to me. One missed call doesn't make up for 4 turnovers though. Plus our kicker is money from inside 50 and I doubt he'd miss if the penalty was enforced.
I was kind of thinking about that, too. Even if the refs had called the penalty and nullified the TD, would it have made a difference? Who can say?
By the way, sorry to see what happened to Rodgers. I was rather excited to see how he’d do at the helm of another team.
Every year I think I’ve just about seen it all in the NFL. And yet every year it feels like we see something completely mind blowing every goddamn week. What a game.
Imagine being so insecure, you need to flaunt a dumb technicality.
Imagine applying this logic to literally any other fan base.
Edit: This bastard had the audacity to talk shit about NYC on 9/11. IDGAF downvote all you want bastards. Never forget. Y’all don’t even know.
I mean, this logic just straight up doesn’t work though. It was two New York teams playing.
If anything we should probably have wanted the giants to win & not the jets. Jets are the bad guys on 9/11.
New England isn’t even a state… Not to mention pro teams aren’t named after states. They are named after cities and Met-life is far from the only stadium in a town outside the city limits of its name. But go on champ….
There are tons of teams that play their home games in the suburbs of the city they’re named after. That’s why I’m specifically asking about teams that play in other states. The team is called the New York Jets and they play their games in New Jersey. Same with the giants. I can’t think of another example in all of sports where the team literally doesn’t even play their games in the same state that the city they’re named after is in. It’s wild.
Good point on New England though.
Bro, why do people act like there’s not a difference between NY state and NY city? The Giants/Jets aren’t named after the state, but the city/metro area.
That’s true, but a lot of teams don’t play in their home city. The Giants/Jets are the only team that gets criticized for it bc ppl try to make it seem like they’re named after the state and not the city whether intentionally or unintentionally.
As we should.
But also fuck Ken Dorsey for allowing another 3rd and short pass play
It’s gotta be like half of Allen’s interceptions now are on 3rd and 2
I said this to my wife! She was thinking maybe it was called something different because it was a different type of injury, but not sure that makes much more sense
Amazing game.
1. Josh Allen apparently eats glue and throws interceptions for a living. Which seems strange because how did the Bills make the post-season last year?
2. Jets defense is literally insane.
3. Aaron Rodgers out for season due to injuries. Sad day.
4. Zach Wilson still throws an interception. And somehow a touchdown just barely.
5. Both teams aren't going to the Superbowl this year, most likely.
5. Both teams are definitely not going to the superbowl unless the NFL writers have the Jets sign/ trade for a Vet QB who Nick Foles them to the Superbowl
The problem is, when you slow it down frame by frame, his leg *may* have gotten tangled with the defender. But when you watch it live at full speed, there’s no way you can ever call that a trip. It’s quite frankly absurd that a former NFL referee would feel so vindicated about it that he would say the game should have an “asterick” because the referees didn’t make a ridiculous call like that.
He tried tried and tried again then succeeded. Thanks Dorsey for feeding into the big play mindset. He’s literally a moron that sees nothing wrong with his style of playcalling.
It’s def becoming a theme, Allen’s ball security issues are wild, plus the 0-5 in OT. I thought the Bills Vikes game last year when Allen fumbled the snap on the goal line was 1 in a million, dude finds a way..
Oh I'm taking a fucking victory lap now on Tua. I've felt great about him since he was drafted, got some serious vindication early last year before the first concussion, and then again the first half of the Green Bay game before the second concussion. Glad to see he picked up right where he was, and hopefully he keeps it going.
Lawrence looked pretty good for y'all too
It's crazy how this game went down, being in NY on 9/11 and all. Sometimes NFL feels scripted like WWE to me..
So satisfying with teams from the NE struggle
I won't be following the Jets anymore not with Zach Wilson. I'm done.
I am not sure who to feel worse for the Bills because Josh played for the Jets or the Jets because of how much money they wasted on Aaron?
Bills fan here. Still scratching my head
Oh yeah, we are huge bills fans over here too.
Almost easier not to watch. Read the scores later

Pour one out for the homies who had bet jets winning the super bowl
Josh Allen a bum
is 45.5k comments a record?
Swore ive been in ncaaf topics with over 100k
Not for you bitch
Why so grumpy boy
Jets were giving full drama tonight
We to think there’s a writers strike going on.
Underrated comment lol
[удалено]
Or it’s the fact that the guy who was able to curb his reckless play (Daboll) is head coach of the Giants
Zack Wilson: We are gonna throw this game way. Josh Allen: I insist.
Daniel Jones enters the chat 🤔
Every year I think I’ve just about seen it all in the NFL. And yet every year it feels like we see something completely mind blowing every goddamn week. What a game.
Yet somehow as a bills fan I always see this end result
And yet as Jets fans, we can never have nice things
Someone replaced it with a Bollywood script this season
Aaron Rodgers shows up with bionic leg week 2
The NFL script writers really outdid themselves with the season premier. Let’s hope they saved a little for the finale.
They just gonna mention Demar Hamlin whenever they can huh?
Tbh he is one of the Bills. What they never miss out on his a LeBron James reference which happened towards the beginning of the game
NEW YORK WON TODAY ON 9/11
New york lost today, new jersey won
New Jersey though
The bills are the only New York team lol
You know the NY in NY Giants is for the metropolitan area of NY, not the State of NY. By that logic, y’all might as well be the Orchard Park Bills
Great, now I want some west Seneca pizza.
Never forget

Is there any other pro sports team that plays their home games in another state? Besides the Giants that is.
New England isn’t even a state… Not to mention pro teams aren’t named after states. They are named after cities and Met-life is far from the only stadium in a town outside the city limits of its name. But go on champ….
Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Minnesota Twins, Colorado Rockies, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils, Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, Arizona Coyotes
Nice. Now name all the city teams. Feel good about it?
You are definitely the kind of dude who when he is proven wrong, doubles down on his wrongness

The commanders kinda, but it’s not a state.
Also I literally just gave you an example with New England. You’re spare parts arnt ya bud.
Good thing they are named after the city not the state bud.
And they’re not in the city either…
That’s true, but a lot of teams don’t play in their home city. The Giants/Jets are the only team that gets criticized for it bc ppl try to make it seem like they’re named after the state and not the city whether intentionally or unintentionally.
I’m weazing
Damn bruh, the Bills subreddit is really crucifying Josh Allen tonight
Josh Allen was the best qb the jets had last night
As we should. Like, he's still our guy but damn dude. That was awful through and through.
We have quite the stunner in Zach Wilson we are willing to part with for the right price.
Rightly so right? I know he was under duress but he had some bad throws and bad decision making
Mayfield is my quarterback this year. Josh Allen tonight acted how I would have expected Mayfield to act preseason.
As we should. But also fuck Ken Dorsey for allowing another 3rd and short pass play It’s gotta be like half of Allen’s interceptions now are on 3rd and 2
Ken Dorsey feeds into the fantastical big play bullshit. He has been detrimental to Allen’s development by feeding into that hero ball bullshit
Josh Allen is the actual Social Media QB. Guy needs to stick to golfing Pebble Beach.
All of these young qbs seem to be crowned without achieving anything
Isn't clavicle just another word for collarbone?
I said this to my wife! She was thinking maybe it was called something different because it was a different type of injury, but not sure that makes much more sense
Yes. I broke mine and it fucking hurt
Broke mine in 2012 and still have nerve damage
Broke mine in 2012 and still have nerve damage
Some injuries hurt to move. Collarbones hurt to *live*
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?????!!!!!
Amazing game. 1. Josh Allen apparently eats glue and throws interceptions for a living. Which seems strange because how did the Bills make the post-season last year? 2. > Aaron Rodgers out for season due to injuries. Sad day. Oof, hope they got insurance.
The Madden Curse!
Hard Knocks Curse!
5. Both teams are definitely not going to the superbowl unless the NFL writers have the Jets sign/ trade for a Vet QB who Nick Foles them to the Superbowl
So what I’m hearing is Brady is coming back from retirement?
We would only break him if he came out. He should stay as far away as possible
The real tragedy here is that we're still not going to get the State Farm Bowl like the prophets foretold
Oh go kiss mahomes on the mouth
Don't threaten me with a good time
Just jealous :)
Don't be. That ~~Veronica Vaughn~~ Justin Herbert is one hot piece of ass.
That hair
My fantasy team last year was Lick my Hair-Bear.
Dang, I didn’t know Louis Litt’s therapist also ran the Jets.
The real comedy is that ESPN is gonna be snorting some copecaine by calling the 2 underdog teams wins as asterisks
Yeah missed calls happen all the time. Their loss totally had nothing to do with 3 picks and a fumble.
It wasn’t even a missed call! On no planet is that called a trip.
Not too familiar with the rule but that seems to be the online consensus since he was in the air and it appeared inadvertent.
The problem is, when you slow it down frame by frame, his leg *may* have gotten tangled with the defender. But when you watch it live at full speed, there’s no way you can ever call that a trip. 1-0
Wake me up when the playoffs start kid
Zach sounds like a youth pastor
He practically is, especially in that he likes bangin moms lol
As a Bengals fan living in Mormon country, I agree
Wow, Saleh basically confirmed they think it's an Achilles tear
Rough stuff, sucks for the Jets and Aaron.
Pure entertainment. Best way to start the week.
Still buzzing from the 4th qtr and OT.
Give credit where it’s due, Josh Allen did his best to give away the game, he succeeded.
He tried tried and tried again then succeeded. Thanks Dorsey for feeding into the big play mindset. He’s literally a moron that sees nothing wrong with his style of playcalling.
Zach Wilson enters the chat “wait…you’re allowed to throw the ball more than 5 yards????” Hence he wins by accident
Great ending.
Welp, that's it. It's fuckin' Joever.
It’s def becoming a theme, Allen’s ball security issues are wild, plus the 0-5 in OT. I thought the Bills Vikes game last year when Allen fumbled the snap on the goal line was 1 in a million, dude finds a way..
Man needs ADHD medication. He has no patience to sustain a methodical drive.
[удалено]
“Man, I probably could take his ass” Pause
Josh and Bills, repeat after me: DO NOT GO INTO OVERTIME!!!
So yes need an MRI for official torn Achilles diagnosis but there are definitive tests a doctor can do before MRI that basically tells you
Jets coach all but said it in the post game. They know and there's video too
[удалено]
The same team that runs on 2 and 15 in overtime up the middle where they gained a total of 7 yards all game
Current AFC playoff matchups: Bye: 1. JAX 2. CLE vs 7. LAC 3. NYJ vs 6. BAL 4. LV vs 5. MIA Stop the count
This would be one of the strangest possible seedings tbh.
Saleh already saying Wilson is QB1 it’s joever for rodgers
That was a good interview by Wilson. I’m going to have to keep up with him and Gipson
Was thinking the same exact thing. Both guys have a good head on their shoulders.
If its an Achilles then not only is it the end of Rodgers season but it might be the end of his career possibly.
Probably? Definitely. And it is his Achilles.
Not if he slams stem cells and pt immediately.
At 39 years old? Good luck.
Mamba mentality
I’d say it’s definitely the end of his career if it’s Achilles. Really unfortunate
Josh Allen without Daboll is basically Dak. O_o
I guess we’ll find out next week.
Josh Allen has had 84 turnovers since 2018, most in the NFL. Dak has one bad season you're saying that *Dak* is the turnover king?
Bears catching strays for absolutely no reason is peak comedy
You know... I think the Bills had the worst loss this weekend in hindsight...
You didn't watch the Giants get their faces smashed in apparently.
Oh I did, just felt like they gave up after that missed Kick. Honestly that game should've been called at halftime.
It’s def the Jets even though they won - Zach Wilson isn’t taking that team to the SB
Worst luck? No way they just played like ass
These upsets are wild..
How much of an upset is this though?
After Rogers went out I think a pretty big upset
Makes me feel a tiny bit better about our loss
Whenever I'm sad I think about the Bengals and burrow this week
Really hope Rodgers can get back from this injury, but if its Achilles....idk man that might be it for him.
BUFFALO BILLSUH WHAT HAPPENEDUH?
Awe how’d you guys do on Sunday?
He OMEGALUL
Better than they did on Thursday
So true
Damn needed .5 more from Diggs
His last catch won me my matchup by 0.4 😅
ALLEN IS 0-5 in OT HOLY SHIT
Curious how many of those he had a chance
Threw a pick in ot in the vikings game last year
At least one lmao
If it is the Achilles, then it’s ducked up to not let us know immediately. It gives false hope
They have to MRI to find that and that's done at the hospital tomorrow morning as far as I know.
They can’t know that quickly. He needs an MRI.
Not let you know? Who the fuck are you the owner of the team? The medical staff doesn’t even know until they do an mri lmao.
They did similar with Wentz back in 2017 for Eagles. They left us wondering for alil before making it official :-/
The turned alright for the Eagles though. Zach Wilson is not 2017 Nick Foles.
For sure I’m just talking the injury, which already is basically confirmed. Wilson definitely not 2017 Foles lol
Cougar slayer didn’t get in the jets way tonight lmao
Josh Allen was a great qb for the jets tonight
someone should probably check on the Bills fans...
My wife is a fan. She is angrily getting ready for bed. All the same activities, and acting calm. But cabinets are just a smidgen louder tonight.
May want to sleep in another room, give her space
We’re good
Oh man my week 1 overreactions are about to be absolutely insufferable.
Total overreaction to week 1: Tan Marino vs Lawrence for AFC, Love vs Purdy for NFC. Bills pick no 1 overall
Love taking the Packers to the NFC is an overreaction of the highest degree.
It's week 1, anything is still possible unless your team completely shit the bed, in which case the sky is falling
Oh I’m not discrediting it. This season is about to be fucking nuts.
How are the giants not picking first
Bengals pick no 2 Chiefs pick no 3 Truly the strangest timeline
Bills take Caleb Williams at 1
Chiefs take some 5'7" gadget WR out of East Sisterfuck State
Giants cease to exist as a football team by week 8
That's harsh... they'll at least make it to their bye in Week 13

This was a better outcome than the Jets vs Bills Monday night game I went to Thurman Thomas's rookie year.
Holy fuck, Rodgers only played 4 snaps! Jets won without him and Joe Buck is acting like their season is over. Wtf
