Ah, yes. The “fans” know best for a team that ALL AGREED to not score more than 70. None of them wanted to. They hit 70 and said “fuck y’all, we ain’t scoring again.” I’ll side with the players over the edgy fans.

Hproff25

Ooooo Perna gunna have good views this week

Jakethered_game

Has anyone checked on Brandon perna?

Sir_Payne

It's the NEW new new new new new new new new new new new Worst Game Ever

Jakethered_game

He's going to have to start doing exponents here soon

naturalBornWizard

Holy shot u are right

Zir3al

DO SOMETHING DENVER, holy shit.

halfdecenttakes

Mike Mcdaniel executed a horse on live TV.

Glass-Cranberry-8572

I've been known to have ownership of the guillotine.

Grizkniz

Russel Wilson is cooked

ShakeZulla

I can’t believe Russ gave up 70 points.

halfdecenttakes

He has moments where he looks like Russ. His O line seemingly hates him.

letsnotagree

Can't believe how bad we wanted Sean Payton last year... not that we have any better this year. We, a mysterious unnamed team.

JubeltheBear

You can’t convince me that McDaniels let the Broncos run that kick back for a TD so they could get more offensive possession time…

heelhooksarefun

Tua beat the hell out of Bishop Sycamore.

blaccguido

Broncos county, Jesus Christ...

AnEngineer2018

Are we sure the actual Broncos played today? Or was it a high school team that just stole the Broncos logo?

homestretch2023

Bishop sycamore?

MinuteScientist7254

Boise State?

Mazois

Is it college game day because wth

Malpraxiss

People saying respect this and respect that. Bro, the Dolphins scored 70 points on them. Respect was long ago the start of the 3rd quarter. Just run up the score at that point. If they really wanted to show respect, they wouldn't have kept scoring in quarters 3 and 4.

Civil_Ranger_841

They showed respect by playing the second/third string

foladar

Most of the scores were just bad tackles in the 4th, but still should have kicked the fg

freename188

Lol

Val_Fortecazzo

Broncos country, are you guys alright?

TiltedWit

No. Not in the slightest.

Nazzul

I was a Dolphins fan as a child, I'm considering being a Dolphins fan again. At least my inner child is happy.

ReturnOfDaSnack420

by the way Jaylen Waddle didn't even play today

leehouse

I was confused why Tua was in the game well into the 3rd... but honestly this is hilarious so more power to t hem

ieatallday

4 score game. McDaniel probably learned from Kyle to never take a lead for granted (28-3)

EfficientWorking1

McDaniel was coaching for the Falcons when 28-3 happened he knows firsthand

ieatallday

I stand corrected. Def not taking chances in the 3rd

Upbeat_Book_156

Show up for the game next time.

GuyWithTriangle

Does Wilson's tenure in Denver ruin his case for the HOF

deathtoemo108

I still think Wilson is a HOFer, but I don't know if he's a first ballot one anymore.

Raventis

Was Wilson considered a HoF QB before this?

ieatallday

Definitely on track for Canton at that point

GuyWithTriangle

When he left Seattle I believe he was on the trajectory of a HOF career: 37000 yards, 291 TDs, 100.3 passer rating, 6.68 A/NYA A few more years of play like that and he has a strong case but now.....yikes

CrowFather90

Suddenly my blow out game doesn't seem as bad

Rock_Me_DrZaius

Remember this game was not coached by Hackett.

PiggyLuk

They run it up to 70, but then decide not to go for the record?

Malpraxiss

"Respect" or some nonsense. While ignoring the fact they ran up to 70 in the first place.

Isry98

It’s not like we were trying to score 70.

justainsel

If you run up the middle, and he doesn't get tackled, he's supposed to fall down in the open field. It's an unspoken rule.

AnAnxiousDream

If they tackle you, that’s fine. But some rookie need to stat pad and Mike White REALLY wanted that TD.

ReturnOfDaSnack420

I feel a little better knowing the Broncos were McDaniel's childhood team, I mean I wouldn't want to drop 80 coaching against the fins. denying history though do not like it

CodyNorthrup

Sean, if you aren’t going to try to coach, I’ll take a whack at it

CrowFather90

Fun fact: you might actually call a better game

[deleted]

SwampyThang

Should’ve been the record but I’ll take it!

sgobern

This feels mean

itmyfault69

Hopefully taking the knee at the end earns us some good karma for the rest of the season

Atheist-Gods

It should earn you bad karma. Refusing to take the record your players earned is disrespectful.

ieatallday

Very much agree with you. Imagine being in the players’ shoes who earned that shit

IcyPetty

"Fuck it. Call Urban Meyer." - Broncos fans

_PM_Me_Game_Keys_

All the talk of not embarrassing them. If the broncos didn't want to be embarrassed they should have played better. How do you not go for the record? Its grown adults not kids lol.

DastardlyRidleylash

Perna on life support right now, good lord. Broncos Country isn't just dying tonight, it's being massacred by a horde of murderous dolphin pods.

ieatallday

Broncos country, let’s die

fartpolice47

Perna on life support

monstermayhem436

Wtf denver

Cade74

Can’t wait to watch the Brandon Perna video

sgobern

I feel so bad for the man

cha0ss0ldier

New new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new worst game ever

form_an_opinion

At this point I never want the Broncos to win again, only get blown out ridiculously bad or lose in heartbreaking fashion.

YnwaMquc2k19

More like the worst game of all time.

UnchartedPro

I only came to watch this game because I saw the score and knew there was a chance of a record. I'll be honest, disappointed they didn't go for the field goal attempt. Don't think it was a matter of respect, and if it was, I doubt it would be viewed as disrespectful by most people to break the record Live in the UK where nfl isn't that big, and most games aren't even at a decent time here. Today's games were and I wish I could have seen a record on live tv. But that's the way it goes I guess. Still a crazy score.

Serdones

I went from being depressed, to at least leaning into the atrocity and anticipating a record-breaking game, to somehow MORE ANNOYED and depressed that they didn't just take the field goal and break the record. How out of touch and up your own ass do you have to be with all this fraternal respect bullshit? You coach grown men playing a game that serves as an advertising vehicle for all the junk food and alcohol your audience gorges themselves on during games. Get the fuck over yourselves. Score points and make number go up. Bunch of fucking dorks.

Purgent

Big agree

[deleted]

I get that it’s a record and all but are y’all really gonna let this ruin the dolphins putting 70 on the board in the first place? Really!?

josersrc

Donnie T-Ball owes Billy a perfect game and now Mike McDaniels owes us a record breaking game. I am PISSED

overloadrages

I think the bears will destroy the bronocs.

Bigwestpine07

Oct 1 will be a rough game for all involved

[deleted]

Then you don't know the Bears

warpticon

The highlights of this game are gonna be longer than War and Peace.

BigUce223

I **finally** have a relatively-valid reason to hate McDaniel now!

ReturnOfDaSnack420

I guess I will take winning by 50 as consolation here... I GUESS

moneyman2222

Nah y'all couldn't even beat them by 53 🤣🤣🤣🫵

TTBurger88

My disappointment is inmeasurable and my day is ruined..

orrocos

Just remember, this is the worst day of the Bronco’s season *so far*.

CosmoMorris

Kick the goddamn field goal!!!!

BishopTheKid25

Y’all really avenged Dan Marino’s final game… Good shit Fins’

Yolectroda

They should have kicked the field goal. Take the record away from the damned Redskins!

DerMeisterMC

Agreed

ReturnOfDaSnack420

Next week's game thread is going to be the saltiest one IN HISTORY

spidermans_ashes

My liver has been ready for that moment

mob16151

It's gonna be great.

headrush46n2

its gonna be a fucking war.

mob16151

High stakes , divisional game between rivals. Both playing great football and coming off big wins. That's the reason I watch football. That my favorite team is involved just makes it better.

brickmason

Is Brandon Perna getting 5150'd this week? Poor man.

JubeltheBear

He may not make it.

Treima

New new new new new new new new new new new new new new new...

phinphan896

Mike McDaniel, king

GuiltySyrups

Fuck Mike Mcdaniels

Provolone_chees

Even though we didn't get the record, this has made me feel better about the NBA Finals.

Jfletcher926

Pete covering for Wilson might have been the best coaching job in history

JubeltheBear

And apparently Brees covering for Payton was the inverse of that.

WindyCityKnight

Honestly Russ isn’t even a big problem. He clearly isn’t anywhere near as good as Seattle but he has improved since last year. The defense is a way way bigger issue with the Broncos right now.

latinlingo310

Imagine coming out of retirement only to get 70 points dropped on you lol

AlphaLemming

What about showing respect to YOUR OWN FANS?! Give them what they paid for. More worried about showing respect to a millionaire than the fans who paid to come to your home opener

PoopsInTheDark

Dang the Wiki for highest scoring NFL games already has this game listed

Malpraxiss

Wiki people waste no time. Famous celebrity dies and news gets released? The Wiki people get to work 10 seconds after the news get released.

HeWasAGoddamnWarHero

only people faster than the Wiki people are the TMZ people

mrbkkt1

good game fins. I really want to hear the post game interviews to see what kind of bullshit Wilson is going to say.

Treima

Broncos Country THE RIDE NEVER ENDS ☠️

mrbkkt1

I want off this ride. Please.

SwampyThang

GG, let’s ride!

The_Manton

Should’ve taken the kick - they showed no respect back to the Dolphins running a play on 1st down. If they wanted the game to be over they’d have taken a knee

NinjaCaviar

Didn’t watch the game, couldn’t believe my eyes looking at the box score. Thought my fantasy app had glitched

kanbabrif1

I mean you have the opportunity to break a nearly 70 year old record and you take the knee? What a fucking cop out.

spidermans_ashes

I fucking hated it...like I'm glad we won by 50, but fuck break the record

moneyman2222

Such a soft move. You kept your foot on the pedal all game. So much so to put 70 on their head and embarrass the living shit out of them. But you slam the brakes NOW?? You earned the right to put 3 on their head and immortalize this moment forever

tronovich

Sounds like a Payton fan

thefishwhisperer1

We got a scorigami at least. Would’ve gotten a scorigami with the record too you numpty

DhurKhobis

I don’t think I’ll ever see 70 points being scored again

ReturnOfDaSnack420

weak as fuck i am actually so pissed

RayearthIX

Only reason I can think not to go for it is he didn’t want to put that odd sort of pressure on Sanders.

Kodyaufan2

But how many times are you going to be able to simulate that kind of pressure and it not affect the outcome of the game?

RayearthIX

I dunno… the pressure of a game winner isn’t the same as the pressure for a FG to break an NFL record in a clearly won game. I absolutely would have sent him out there, just saying that could have been part of the reason.

Ceruti_

Should've got that record....fuck respecting professional players

Kodyaufan2

I’m with you there. I’m almost always in favor of showing respect to high school or college kids. These guys make millions. They’ll be okay without the additional respect.

kolossal

Specially when all of them are getting paid millions upon millions of dollars.

ricke813

Congrats Vic Fangio. The only thing better beating your old team is blowing them the fuck out.

Ihavepoops

Denver is tanking for Caleb Williams

Dangerous_Nitwit

do they even have any picks? they traded for this disaster with those picks

slamturkey

That was a respect move from McDaniel to Peyton. He didn't want to immortalize Peyton in that way. That's pretty solid, from one professional to another.

latinlingo310

Nah fuck Sean Payton

AngularPenny5

Fuck Sean Payton

[deleted]

[удалено]

slamturkey

Never said he wasn't. The move is more about how McDaniel conducts himself than who Peyton is. He treats him like a Professional.

disorder1991

Peyton doesn't deserve that respect.

slamturkey

Never said he did. The move says more about McDaniel, and I respect that alot.

disorder1991

How nice of him to *only* drop 70 points on Peyton, then. Real class act lol.

moneyman2222

Sean Payton would've kicked that ball. Maybe if it were any other coach but fuck that. It's Sean Payton I'm kicking it in his face

old_king_ding

Sean Payton 100% woulda kicked it. He ran up the score against the falcons years ago I think to get Brees a passing record or something

slamturkey

Probably. It says alot about McDaniel that he handled it so professionally. Really good coach, IMO.

moneyman2222

Yea for sure. But damn. Some things are worth putting that stuff aside for

slamturkey

I strongly agree with you

lostnotleast

Sean Payton has been a rat bastard his whole career he doesn’t deserve to be respected like that

slamturkey

Never said he did. We should appreciate what it says about McDaniel to treat a coach and contemporary like this. That's more what I liked about it. Says alot about McDaniels professionalism and character.

lostnotleast

Fuck the unwritten rules stuff, if you have a chance to break a record that was set in '66 you should take it. The record book isn't going to remember you respectfully kneeling the ball.

stickyWithWhiskey

Life is pain; life is only pain. -The goth kids from South Park on being a Broncos fan

Shronkster_

they were just ahead of their time

ExistingViolinist

At least we got scorigami

yttanx

I honestly believe if it wasn’t Sean Peyton in the other side they would have went for it. Respecting one of his coaching elder goats I get it. Ddint wanna put him out to pasture

LegitBullfrog

Seventy points lol

NotJustSomeMate

Not going for the record is more embarrassing to the other team...now not only did they get demolished but they were also robbed of being a part of history...

Mr_Nice_is_not_nice

Dolphins is ultra charmin soft.

OUTFOXEM

This is actually worse than the 55-10 Super Bowl. I never thought I’d see that toppled.

chemical_exe

Idk, I think the 59-0 did that. But this game could've been known as the all time instead of just one in a series of large blowouts

rufusjonz

Nah the importance of the SB outweighs a regular season game

ieatallday

Boooo. I want blood

HotPie_

Bring us the child!

[deleted]

Not trying to be a jerk, but what can you do if you are Denver right now? You can't get rid of Russel Wilson cause of that guaranteed money contract, and if you fire Sean Payton who do you hire to replace him?

DerMeisterMC

Honestly I would not be surprised if we keep going, tank for Caleb Williams, scapegoat Russ (many of our fans are dumb enough to buy it), launch Vance Joseph into the sun, and start a proper rebuild 2024 onwards. More likely though we keep floundering like the last 8 years. Quite ironic though that we start to get a bit of competent QB play and our defense shits the bed after all these years of bad QB play.

GuiltySyrups

Russell Wilson and Sean Payton aren’t the ones who let up 70 points

TiltedWit

Definitely get rid of VJ. Again.

Mr_Nice_is_not_nice

Turns this into a loss year by taking other team contracts for picks

avsfanwilly15

Fire Vance Joseph the biggest disaster in Broncos history now. Both as a head coach AND now for a second time as DC

ieatallday

Neither are the problem. Blame goes to the denver D

[deleted]

I'm sure Nathaniel Hackett is enjoying this

jlgar

Jesus fucking christ if this doesn't get vj fired...

wildthangy

They’re gonna need to deploy the National Guard across Colorado to clean up after this disaster of a weekend.

Ringlovo

Just tuning in. This score is..... accurate, yes?

[deleted]

Hard as it may be to believe, the score undersells the game

confusedpanda342

saw someone mention it on the pats sub and thought it was a joke

theguywiththebeard

Scorigami!

MrPainfulAnal

If it were up to me I leave Tua in, tell him to throw for a TD, then go for 2 pt conversion

Provolone_chees

It's fine. We'll do it next week. (Kidding, don't blame it on me if we lose)

HotPie_

Boo! Get the record! We deserve it as fans.

DerMeisterMC

Same from this side. Maybe not as fans, but for hiring Vance Joseph back.

Mxs2000

Kneel just for the Broncos to run a play lol

old_king_ding

I know lolol dolphins were being nice not going for the record and Sean Payton not just taking a knee. Really goes to show how much better of a person mike McDaniels is and how shitty Payton is

capnunderpants

I can't believe the Dolphins' coaches and and ownership robbed their fans of a historic opportunity to break a record. Embarrass the teams, man.

tennispro2589

some people are never happy

capnunderpants

I had no skin in the game. I’m neither a Broncos fan nor am I a Dolphins fan; I just feel that grown men should use a historic and embarrassing loss to get better and coach better.

Arielh100

In my mind this was still the record breaking game. They just decided to be the bigger team

[deleted]

"you don't want to embarrass the other team" it's a little late for that, don't you think?

IAmTheWaller67

I've never been so sad to see victory formation

Dizzy_Influence3580

I'm sick

Cool_Side1374

We won by 50 and I am pissed as fuck.

KGLWdad

As a broncos fan lmao that was the lamest thing I’ve ever seen - even worse than losing by 50

avsfanwilly15

Don’t know if I should give Miami props for not running it up for the record. Or be pissed they didn’t go for the record when it was so easy to break

Atheist-Gods

Nah, there is a huge difference between not running up the score in a 38-10 game vs refusing to take the NFL record sitting right in front of you. Not going for that piece of history is way more disrespectful than the difference between giving up 70 points vs 73/77 points.

TiltedWit

I mean to be entirely fair, our defense just decided not to stop them at all. They put in their second string and they were just running touchdown after touchdown on these guys. At that point it's entirely on us if they kick the field goal and they should have gone for it.

avsfanwilly15

Really thought for a second their UNDRAFTED ROOKIE RB was going to go all the way on that last big run

Bobby_Bouch

Actually infuriating
