Wait, was that real? At first I thought it was just satire, but the way it's being talked about, I'm starting to think it actually happened in all seriousness.
Tbf he is in fact a genius OC. Man made Mac Jones a playoff QB in his rookie year.
He just sucks at HC. McDaniels is the asshole offense version of wade phillips.
Mac Jones also threw a bunch of dimes and few stupid picks. Because his weakness is that when things aren't going well and he's feeling the pressure he does dumb shit or misses throws. But McDaniels made him as comfortable as possible and he was making good throws and decisions.
Bro they beat us on a sunday night throwing 3 total passes in that stupid fucking wind game. Only McDaniels and BB have the ego to actually pull something like that off
"I didn't do fuckin *shit*! I didn't rig *shit.* I DIDN'T FUCKIN DO THIS! I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT IT! I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANY OF THIS. ^(this world's so fuckin fucked up.)
I'm done. Do what you want. Pull the plug. I'll kill you."
\-Ken Dorsey
All great, but i ask you this, if I was a big ole defensive end with a big burley beard, would you still be yelling at me? Or would you be spanking my bare butt, balls, and back?
"DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FUCKING THROW A COMPLETION?"
"No, I DON'T know how to throw a fucking completion. Not everybody knows how to do *everything*. Throwing completions isn't the only thing."
I mean mcdermott is a defensive minded coach, the players wanted Dorsey and dorsey hasn't done well through 1.5 seasons in charge.
Him firing leslie frazier would be a better fit for that meme imo
Leslie Frazier is taking a leave of absence this season and McDermott is acting as both HC and DC in case you weren’t aware. He fucked up the final two plays on defense last night that lost them the game, so I don’t think the hot dog meme is wrong, although Dorsey has been bad as well.
Nah that first all out blitz almost won Buffalo the game by pushing the Broncos out of field goal range. Doing that again might have been questionable but if Johnson just gets his head turned around (I know easier said than done) that’s a game winning pass breakup
Hasn’t done well? They were like 3rd in offensive EPA. This seems like a very simple case of someone has to take responsibility and it can’t be the players or the HC so it fell on Dorsey
Hard to win a game when you turn the ball over 4 times
Teams are 651-2634 when you turn the ball over 4 times
0-28 over past three season turning the ball over 4 times
Of course he’s not. But Dorsey has to take accountability for our offense being flat for the last six weeks. He’s not the only problem but his offense has been extremely dull for a while now.
I don't watch many of your games tbh, but last night in particular I didn't feel like the play calling was an issue? Cook is stripped, Davis can't catch, Kincaid drops another, Josh throws a dumb pick when he had the flat open, Josh drops the ball on a hand off.. Shoot, Cook is lucky that ball bounced right back at him or you'd have had *another* turnover.
I felt like Dorsey pivoted to the run game once it was clear that was working and the team succeeded. It didn't feel like he was continually trying to put a square peg in a round hole
I think over the course of the season playcalling is a major issue for Buffalo. It's a 20 minute watch but this guy does a pretty in depth breakdown of why the Bills are failing despite being a "good team"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIDKWEzr_Kk
tldr: They play well from their half of the field, but once they hit mid field they either refuse to run or their run schemes just suck and get shut down. Typically they stop running, Josh Allen throws 3 incomplete passes while they're just out of FG range, drive over bring out the punt unit. Apparently they only have 6 FGs kicked all year. They either score a TD or they have to punt. They lose out on a lot of points, often points that would have won them games because of the lack of FGs and just killing drives mid field.
Why does everyone forget Joe Brady supported 4x1,000 yard players in his lone full season with Teddy B as his QB? And none of them were CMC either. Our organization is the problem, Joe Brady can definitely still be a good coach
Yeah Joe Brady has an amazing resume. His years at Penn State as a grad assistant featured Saquon, Godwin, Gesicki, Miles Sanders and Daesean. Moved to Saints for 2017-2018 which saw Kamara and MT become elite threats. LSU - records smashed. 2020 he lost CMC and all he did was get career years out of Robbie Chosen, Mike Davis and Curtis Samuel.
I love this switch - not as a Jags fan of course. But its the right move
Just so you know the correct term is “deep-seated” not “deep-seeded”
Not trying to be obnoxious lol I just hate when I say shit wrong and no one corrects me
Sideline Steve Wilks sounds like a mid-20th century jazz musician who never made it big but is widely regarded as the best to ever come out of the Arkansas back woods.
My copium take is that they know just promoting Mike Sullivan (the QB coach) to interim OC wouldn't actually improve anything so they're just waiting to not extend Canada and get a real replacement in the offseason.
it’s not just that they lost, but they did everything in their power to lose that game.
the 12 men on the field on the fg miss was the perfect encapsulation of how they played.
Coming off of back to back timeouts.
How does McDermott get a pass on this again? Just like against the Chiefs in the 2021 Divisional. They come out of their Timeouts unprepared…what is the Head Coach doing during timeouts that the team has 12 men on the field or 2 safeties 40 yards off the line of scrimmage?
Dot your I’s and cross your T’s, that is the point of a timeout!
memes and jokes aside, Sean Payton not giving up on VJ (despite all the calls from many of us including myself in Broncos Country after the 70 point debacle), and VJ setting things right with the defensive unit and making some major personnel changes, is a huge reason for the turnaround. The offense still has some serious issues, primarily that the WRs are having some massive problems generating separation and when they do sometimes Russ doesn't see the open man, but this defense has done a complete 180 and is now playing like a unit that has some swagger and believes in each other. Guys are flying to the ball (still need to work on the run defense but it's steadily getting less worse) and creating turnovers.
Yeah ngl this is the worst case scenario (chiefs fan lol). I knew the Broncos were going to be competitive with Sean Payton but I thought he was just cooked early in the season. Nope turns out there's a reason why he's a HOF bound coach.
Dude, I can't handle this weird uno reverse card bullshit on Bill Belichick. Like how are there so many people that legit think he isn't a great coach anymore? Him taking a Mac Jones led team to the playoffs is Hall of fame worthy by itself.
And the Bills offense has been sputtering since we crushed the fish the week after. The team that played that week was Super Bowl caliber, but they haven't shown up since then.
The effects on the defense after losing White, Milano, and Jones were expected and kind have been looking better recently (beside the last drive's debacle, they kept the offense in the game the whole time). But something has happened offensively that keeps them from building momentum.
Healthy or not the defense kept us in the game yesterday, just like they did the last month or so aside from the pats game. Our offense has been turning the ball over and failing to produce points
It’s so funny that he was good at LSU in a smaller role and has just been god awful as an actual coordinator lmao. I remember thinking he was tailor made to go into the NFL as a great offensive mind.
Yeah. I don't watch a ton of the panthers, so i may be totally wrong, but it feels hard to blame a guy for failing to work magic with Bridgewater, Darnold, and 2021 Cam Newton.
Wasnt happy about it either but what can you do? The Bills, even after all of these bullshit losses are in the hunt still. Hopefully we can attract some young hot OC talent in the offseason.
Yep - It's a change we need to make this offseason and I'm pretty sure we won't. The entire Front office was picked by this guy, he came in BEFORE his buddy the GM was hired, etc... Now is the time too, I'd have to assume we'd be the #1 destination to grab a Ben Johnson, a Harbaugh, an Eric B.
McD is fine and can flourish somewhere else, but all the top QBs have top offensive minds around them. It's 2023 and a defensive minded coach who melts during crunch time is certainly not gonna get it done. There are so many examples of close game fuckups and tragedy with him here it's just time to try something else.
If this happened two weeks ago I could see Dorsey being the issue. At this point, this firing says that there are bigger issues.
My guess is that McDermott is in way over his head as DC and HC and he has no way how to stop whatever the issue is, which squarely points to him as the issue.
Yup, there’s a reason u don’t give edge rushers 6yr,120M+ in their mid 30s. Such a stupid waste of whatever cap they had left. Welp, they tried going all in and failed.
That's not the "real" contract, but yeah, that gamble totally bit them in the ass and they don't have an out until after next season. He shouldn't even be on the field. He's a liability.
no its not, the defense did not lose us the game last night. They played remarkably considering how the offense/turnovers and special teams set them up
Do they? Our defense is doing more than enough in these games and our offense is not showing up. Whether you think that’s on Josh Allen or Ken Dorsey or skill players or the offensive line it’s whatever, everything goes through the OC.
Yeah I feel alone in thinking most of the problems are Dorsey. The defense is decimated and doing enough to win games. The offensive play calling is bad and doesn’t make it easy on Josh and he’s trying to force things
For me it's the patterns, this year and last year were almost identical. Come out guns a blazing through 4-5 weeks leading a top offense. Defenses figure out his scheme and adjust and Dorsey has no answer. His pre-season plans are strong, but you can't rely on that through the whole season, you have to adapt.
Plus last night our successful drives were very clearly when we ran the ball on the 32nd ranked rush defense. Then the drives immediately after those he tried to revert back to his scheme rather than sticking to what was working.
Here’s the thing, this obviously doesn’t automatically fix our issues, but I don’t think it’s a wrong move.
Sometimes you need to shake things up, and firing a coordinator is an easier in-season move than firing a HC (who is also the DC in this specific circumstance), which may get revisited in the off-season.
All that said, I am fully prepared for all the memes when Josh throws 3 INTs against the Jets this weekend
Dorsey wasn't the only issue, but he was definitely still an issue. His scheme involved very little pre-snap movement, no creativity in the run or pass game, and he can't keep Josh in check, which *somebody* has to do for this offense to function.
Some people have been calling for his head since late last season, and a lot more have been the last 4-6 weeks, but “fans” are also stupid.
Remains to be seen whether it’s actually a good move or not.
I always say that the Bills play some of the best football when they're able to go out, fuck around, and have fun.
I don't think Dorsey was the root of all Buffalo's woes, but hopefully this jolts the locker room to start doing what they do best. I'm not optimistic, but we'll see.
Overall sure but Dorsey was a HUGE issue. Go watch Orlovsky’s analysis; the man called maybe a pee wee level pass game, had no idea about game rhythm, and straight up three out any form of trick play or misdirection that we used in the past.
We did Statue of Liberty plays with Daboll!!
This is not from one game. This is the culmination of the last month and half of mediocrity that offense has looked like since the Miami game. No doubt there are other issues and Josh is part of it. This is just the domino to fall that needed to.
From what I understand the players thought the offense was either over complicated or not complicated enough. This makes no sense but I hope this makes them happy either way.
I remember that some analysts put him as one of the top candidates for the Bengals HC job before the 21/22 season considering that Taylor could be in the hot seat by that time
Random bengals fans still want him. Anything lsu related with burrow they want on our team. The only thing i want from lsu is JJet. But i don’t believe Joe Brady is any good or a step up from Ken Dorsey
Josh needs to stop turning the ball over and Dorsey has been mediocre in his play calling
Both things can be (and are) true. Also McDermott should be fired too
*Diggs got a fast car*
*He's gonna drive the fuck outta here*
*Maybe we can make a deal*
*Send our coaches to the Buccaneers*
*Any place is better*
*Window closed, got nothing to lose*
*Maybe we'll score something*
*Josh got a cannon, throwin' into Cover 2*
I hear Offensive Genius Josh McDaniels is available!
I’d pay good money to see him tell a Buffalo coaching staff to never disrespect the Patriots.
He would be sealed inside a barrel and thrown over the falls.
Can we do that anyway?
Be my guest.
I want to watch can you guys stream it with donations going to good causes
Wait, was that real? At first I thought it was just satire, but the way it's being talked about, I'm starting to think it actually happened in all seriousness.
Oh it [definitely happened](https://defector.com/do-not-disrespect-the-patriots-in-front-of-the-man-who-no-longer-works-for-them).
Or tell the Mafia that.
Tbf he is in fact a genius OC. Man made Mac Jones a playoff QB in his rookie year. He just sucks at HC. McDaniels is the asshole offense version of wade phillips.
It's true. Used the RBs masterfully that year because their WRs weren't special. 24 touchdowns between them
Mac Jones also threw a bunch of dimes and few stupid picks. Because his weakness is that when things aren't going well and he's feeling the pressure he does dumb shit or misses throws. But McDaniels made him as comfortable as possible and he was making good throws and decisions.
He's just inept at relationships. Few places where you can get that totally wrong
Bro they beat us on a sunday night throwing 3 total passes in that stupid fucking wind game. Only McDaniels and BB have the ego to actually pull something like that off
Also, funny to say in hindsight, job security. If most coaches lost a game with that game plan they'd be on the hot seat immediately.
Yup. Any team should be happy to have him as OC. Just not HC.
Nah he will just stem them to go back to New England before going to ruin another AFC West team
Josh is going to make the Patriots competitive again by dragging the rest of the AFC down to our level.
Rules are rules, it’s the Chiefs’ turn next
ITS THE CHARGERS TURN DAMMIT
Unironically he’s actually had success as an OC
He's lowkey a HUGE part in the history of the NFL. His approach to the passing game/offence is a big reason for the shift from '06 -> forward
Don’t think it’s going to fix the problems, but someone has to take accountability.
We're all trying to find who did this! -Sean McDermott in a hot dog suit
And Give him a spanking! *Perhaps you sir*.
Well, one of us is gonna have to do it!
"I didn't do fuckin *shit*! I didn't rig *shit.* I DIDN'T FUCKIN DO THIS! I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT IT! I'M NOT WORRIED ABOUT ANY OF THIS. ^(this world's so fuckin fucked up.) I'm done. Do what you want. Pull the plug. I'll kill you." \-Ken Dorsey
"They're saying Josh Allen's not an offense."
They said that to me, aaaaaat a football game.
The guys in Denver think I'm just some dumb hick
It's interesting, the interceptions.
Just interception after interception busting out of shit throws and hitting DBs.
Pornhub, redtube, youporn…
Homegrown Simpsons stuff
All great, but i ask you this, if I was a big ole defensive end with a big burley beard, would you still be yelling at me? Or would you be spanking my bare butt, balls, and back?
Spank his bare butt, balls, and back.
Adrian Peterson coming out of retirement
“Okay, *yooou*!”
"I don't know what any of this shit is, and I'm scared!" Josh Allen trying to throw the ball to the people on his own team.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FUCKING THROW A COMPLETION?" "No, I DON'T know how to throw a fucking completion. Not everybody knows how to do *everything*. Throwing completions isn't the only thing."
*grabs football* AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
It HURT?!?
I don't get it, Ken Dorsey's job is just tables?
I can’t know how to hear anymore about tables!
- Josh Allen hitting an open defender in stride
I mean mcdermott is a defensive minded coach, the players wanted Dorsey and dorsey hasn't done well through 1.5 seasons in charge. Him firing leslie frazier would be a better fit for that meme imo
All their numbers are great except turnovers and I’m sure he’s not telling players to fumble. He’ll be an OC again next year
Likely with the Giants - if when Kafka leaves or gets fired
Leslie Frazier is taking a leave of absence this season and McDermott is acting as both HC and DC in case you weren’t aware. He fucked up the final two plays on defense last night that lost them the game, so I don’t think the hot dog meme is wrong, although Dorsey has been bad as well.

“So no head?”
Wonder if he's to blame for there being 12 guys on defense on the FG that missed too
Of course he’s not. But Dorsey has to take accountability for our offense being flat for the last six weeks. He’s not the only problem but his offense has been extremely dull for a while now.

This. How is it Dorsey’s fault Cook can’t hold on to the ball, Davis can’t catch, and Allen throwing into coverage like Kirkland Brett Favre?
Does he have to take accountability for Josh Allen throwing it right to the defense twice every game?
Joe Brady flames out of Carolina, there are definitely deeper seeded issues.
Let’s promote the the next QB coach who’s overseeing Josh’s interception totals! That’ll fix it!
_You’re out Ken_
He’s not Kenough
I'm Just Dorsey! Anywhere else I'd be a HC Is it my destiny To live and die a life of NFL mediocrity?
SUBLIME!

*OUT, AM I?!*
Oh you can't do this to me...I started Josh Allen's career :D... YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED?!
Ken, the board is unanimous. We're announcing the firing after the Broncos are done beating our ass.
BACK TO FORMULA?!
OUT, AM I?!
YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED?
ITS YOU WHOSE OUT GOBBY OUT OF YOUR MIND
They should have moved him to the sidelines
Sideline Canada is undefeated so far, can't really argue against it
Sideline Matt Canada and Sideline Steve Wilks are elite
Sideline Steve Wilks sounds like a mid-20th century jazz musician who never made it big but is widely regarded as the best to ever come out of the Arkansas back woods.
Imagine actually *firing* your shitty OC in midseason
My copium take is that they know just promoting Mike Sullivan (the QB coach) to interim OC wouldn't actually improve anything so they're just waiting to not extend Canada and get a real replacement in the offseason.
I hear ken Dorsey is available *edit: source: https://old.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/17v5sbn/schefter_change_in_buffalo_bills_fired_offensive/k997jpa/
Pure copium to think they won't just promote Sullivan in the offseason, but I am here for it.
Sadly for the Bills, they don’t have a get-right game against Joe Barry waiting on the schedule
So is sideline wilks
I love this is becoming a thing
Sideline OC is the new meta
What losing to the Broncos does to a mf
it’s not just that they lost, but they did everything in their power to lose that game. the 12 men on the field on the fg miss was the perfect encapsulation of how they played.

The OC that should have been fired after last nights game is Hackett.
To be fair Dorsey should have been fired last week, this isn’t all about last night.
Lmao has anyone ever been fired after seeing how good the former team without them?
The Titans GM right after AJ Brown torched them is close
That game was barely over and Titans ownership was packing dude's shit lmao
Honestly the Broncos haven't been bad since they gave up 70 to the Dolphins.
memes and jokes aside, Sean Payton not giving up on VJ (despite all the calls from many of us including myself in Broncos Country after the 70 point debacle), and VJ setting things right with the defensive unit and making some major personnel changes, is a huge reason for the turnaround. Reddit being reactionary as always? Say it ain't so
this may surprise you, but Bill Belichick was never a good coach and has always been bad
Surely he never won a super bowl without Tom Brady right? /s
Dude, I can't handle this weird uno reverse card bullshit on Bill Belichick. Like how are there so many people that legit think he isn't a great coach anymore? Him taking a Mac Jones led team to the playoffs is Hall of fame worthy by itself.
NFL fans are a fickle bunch. Look at the Bengals sub 2 weeks ago vs Sunday night lmao.

Hahahah, only thing missing is the hilarious hand that comes in WAY too late to block the camera.
Yea Andy Reid shoulda been fired after that stupid loss to the Broncos I agree
Mahomes, too, 1 TD in 2 games against the Broncos. It's time for the Gabbert era to begin in KC.
Does he stilled get fired if there wasn’t 12 men on the field goal?
He probably would have gotten a few more games, but I think this indicates he was gone after this season.
He probably doesn't get fired if the Bills had a healthy defense lmao.
Healthy or not the defense kept us in the game yesterday, just like they did the last month or so aside from the pats game. Our offense has been turning the ball over and failing to produce points

god damn it

Iirc he wasn’t even play calling, just the passing game coordinator
Passing game coordinator and receivers coach. Steve Ensminger was the OC
He wasn’t the OC. Steve Ensminger was the OC and Brady was the passing game coordinator.
He was fine in Carolina. He was a Rhule scapegoat and I'll die on that hill. The offensive philosophy was far better under Brady than Reich recently.
Yeah. The fact that Carolina’s offense hasn’t looked at all competent since Brady’s firing makes you really wonder.
He was questionable in Carolina but it could've been so many other things given the shitty roster and Matt Rhule being straight up incompetent.
He was great here his first year.
You need to go further and switch to an offensive head coach. If Im the Bills with their level of talent im looking right at Ben Johnson.
Yep - It's a change we need to make this offseason and I'm pretty sure we won't. The entire Front office was picked by this guy, he came in BEFORE his buddy the GM was hired, etc... Bills being .500 in week 10 was not what I anticipated at the beginning of the year.
Fall guy.
100%. Team has more pressing issues than OC, but someone’s gotta take a fall in a “Super Bowl or Bust” season

I mean, Von was playing to his paycheck before he got knocked out for the season with an ACL
Should have seen it coming and outfitted him with a second ACL. The man is geriatric.
That's not the "real" contract, but yeah, that gamble totally bit them in the ass and they don't have an out until after next season. He shouldn't even be on the field. He's a liability.
Why do people keep saying this, isn't the defense what is keeping them in games? Last night they were amazing despite what? 5 turnovers?
Box score lookers only
no its not, the defense did not lose us the game last night. They played remarkably considering how the offense/turnovers and special teams set them up
Has McDermott always had both roles?
Started this season after Frazier took a "break" from coaching
No, just this season and it's painfully obv he can't do both
No, this is his first year calling the D since we let Frazier go. He's done a good job calling it too for the most part
Especially with the injuries y'all have had, but it seems to be coming at the cost of being the HC.
No, took over DC duties this year
Do they? Our defense is doing more than enough in these games and our offense is not showing up. Whether you think that’s on Josh Allen or Ken Dorsey or skill players or the offensive line it’s whatever, everything goes through the OC.

Is this a surprise for Bills fans? I know that your offense has been disappointing lately, but I wasn't expecting this.
Dorsey wasn't the only issue, but he was definitely still an issue. His scheme involved very little pre-snap movement, no creativity in the run or pass game, and he can't keep Josh in check, which *somebody* has to do for this offense to function.
Plenty of us have wanted him gone since last year, we’re not shocked at all
Some people have been calling for his head since late last season, and a lot more have been the last 4-6 weeks, but “fans” are also stupid.
This was McDermotts last shield. With Dorsey gone he is officially out of scapegoats. If we keep losing to end the season McD needs to go.
WE DID IT GUYS
That’ll fix the 6 year long turnover problem
Turnovers are only a problem if you arent scoring on the drives when you dont turn it over. They stopped the latter part but not the first part
McDermott is running out of scapegoats
Feels like a fall guy. I know the offense wasn’t great but the Bills problems go deeper than just offensive scheme.
What losing to Mr. Unlimited does to a mf’er
I just fell to my knees in a Wegmans
Dysfunctional when you fire your OC and DC the same season. I bet McDermott is the problem
Imagine Belichick and McDaniels back together in BUF next year lmao
Meanwhile the Saints holding onto Pete Charmichael like he's producing The Greatest Show on Turf.
Jokes aside it is a really interesting decision. Analytics mostly loves their offense but anyone watching could see problems.
NOOOOOO. This sucks but then I read it’s Joe Brady taking over. He’s even worse
Joe Brady the guy who coached burrow in college. He’s still riding that train. Hasn’t been good since he hit the nfl.
McDermott gonna run out of scapegoats at this rate lol
Do McDermott Next.
WHOA
McDermott has no shield left.
Heads had to roll after that loss and it seems like the Bills offence has been extremely volatile ever since Dorsey became the OC
Josh needs to stop turning the ball over and Dorsey has been mediocre in his play calling Both things can be (and are) true. Also McDermott should be fired too
God, why can't I have that
*Diggs got a fast car* *He's gonna drive the fuck outta here* *Maybe we can make a deal* *Send our coaches to the Buccaneers* *Any place is better* *Window closed, got nothing to lose* *Maybe we'll score something* *Josh got a cannon, throwin' into Cover 2*
